Why did nintendolife give a low score to this game because of inputlag but not to the many other emulated games on switch that have lag as well?

I don't think 198x is good at all. The gameplay is boring or based on trial and error and the story is almost nonexistant and lacks any kind of depth. The asking price is really high for a 1 hour game.

@brunojenso Thanks! Yeah, Nintendo has dropped their quality. Malfunctions were unheard of back in the day.

Nintendo actually made a 2d version before the 3d one.

@brunojenso Ok, I got my fourth one and this one has a good D pad! It's a huge difference too. Diagonals hit all the time. I'll test it some more to see if it is really good enough but so far so good.

@brunojenso They need to be more consistent. I send back a third unit because it had a dead pixel. One more try and I'm done with the lite.

@brunojenso Lucky you. I had one that did not register diagonals at all. The second one I had was much better, hadokens where no problem nor were dragon punches. The up right diagonal was really hard to register though so I send both systems back. Worst D pad ever.

I would buy a switch lite after Nintendo improved the terrible D pad.

Nintendo is phasing the OG switch out. Just like how they handled the 3ds

The quality of Nintendo hardware has never been this bad. Joycon drift is horrible but Nintendo doesn't acknowledge nor fix the problem. Besides that, the switch lite has the worst Dpad Nintendo has ever made.

Why did this review forget to mention that the D pad is the worst one nintendo ever made? It's worse than the four buttons on the left joycon. Must be those affiliate links!

@Starvald that is not that big a problem. Some old school classics hid content behind high difficulty settings.

@Dog no, I'm not. Just surprised that the game is boring after I bought it. Not salty about the purchase either since I buy plenty of games that don't offer me what I want to play. Not salty. Just surprised.
