Interesting to read that so many people never finished it or some had problems with the controls. I have to admit Okami started incredibly slow. But for me the enjoyment lied in the great characters and the upgrading of your weapon of choice like the stray beads. The upgrading kind of felt like Hyrule Warriors. The farther you play the game the faster you can end the battles. Also making fluent brush strokes with the wii mote was incredibly satisfying. I would love to see a sequel being made
I know this article is meant to be as a joke, but it comes a little too close to real people saying such things. Remember PETA going after Mario? Sigh.. Just give me some of Oaks pester balls to throw anytime
A little extra touch is always good, but I feel they overdid it with some Pokemon. I actually think the new ones are less memorable than the simpler older ones. 'That green catterpilllar' (Caterpie) is easier to remember than 'that little clown with flippers, a beaver tail and freckles'
@impurekind He still isn't a gamer in his free time, like in the digital or hardcore sense. He sees games as products for people to enjoy: https://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/shigeru-miyamoto-games-not-art/. He does like playing and experiencing things tho like playing music and gardening and may occassionally play a game in his free time. I don't mind he looks at it that way. Secretly he is an artist if you ask me, he just doesn't feel like it himself.
But I also agree you do need gamers in the business. Iwata was a gamer for example.
I totally understand why. Miyamoto himself never was a gamer, he started as a product designer. That's why his games are so smart, they focus on how intuitive and usable the product or game is.
Ofcourse you also need hardcore gamers. Iwata for example was a real gamer and a fantastic programmer. Nintendo wouldn't have been Nintendo without him.
If they just released updates to improve older games for the new 3DS, instead of stability updates, the new 3DS would actually increase in value. For example fix the lag in pokemon XY/ORAS that is caused while playing in 3D
Buy Bayonetta 2 instead! Unbelievable how high they set the bar in Bayonetta with hardly any framerate issues. I don't get why Sonic Boom had so much problems with that
You can't compare previous reactions of Sony's president of Worldwide studios in Japan with those people of the American division. These American CEOs are obviously just a bunch of a**holes, purely working for marketing
I agree nintendo shouldn't want the same games as PS4 and Xbox1 since it wouldn't sell anyway.
There are alot of huge franchises in anime and cartoons that might be a good basis for video games. Nintendo should keep an eye out and support development of such games on WiiU.
@Spoony_tech @Tsurii897 They also had games on PC (trading card, project studio) before there were smartphones. So a few simple games on the smartphones aren't that strange.
Looks like an adventure game, which can be good. It opens new possibilities for the future because they can develop sonic adventure games and speed platformers side by side.
Now I understand why they come up with sometimes weird ideas to be innovative. It is then understandable they cannot attract the big developers, but they should try to find more developers and businesspartners who are also innovative
You often see that the other companies reel in exclusives or earlier releases of third parties by making deals. Nintendo should help them or other third party developers with development and release of a WiiU version by making similar deals with the developers.
A Major Miss. My brother has an Wii U and if more Wii U games had online multiplayer I would buy a Wii U of my own. Now I just play at my brother's place because we can't play at seperate places anyway
What they should do is create an streetpass app on phones so you can exchange Nintendo information with your phone instead of only 3DS. Everyone carry his phone with him. After exchanging through this streetpass you could upload the data to the nintendo systems for use
No actually I picked pokemon up again with Pokemon X since Pokemon Emerald because they focused more on the older pokemon and the new graphics. The new ones were often ugly, but now I can vary with new and old pokemon in my team
I think the mainstream people don't want to buy the WiiU and its games because they don't expect much difference compared to wii games. You can say whatever you want about graphics, but besides it making it more "pretty" it's also an important way for regular people to judge if there is a difference between games
I must say I don't always like the menu on the second screen. While looking at it you can get attacked or drive into a wall because the game does not pause
It seems as if Gamefreak tries too hard when designing the new pokemon. If you look at the first 150 the pokemon were simple yet effective, while the new ones are loaded with ornaments and patterns.

Many (dumb) people don't understand this is a spinoff. They expect this is a main series game

Re: Talking Point: The Super Smash Bros. 3DS Demo Has Been an Easy Triumph for Nintendo

I want a code too but the spamming has become absurd
