@Jayvir They might not, but it's also likely that they're being vague to make people speculate. The more speculation that happens, the bigger the anticipation, and the bigger the anticipation, the bigger the sales.
I'm pretty sure Nintendo's next step is going to be a hybrid that uses cloud computing for the handheld version, at least that's the impression I got when I held the U Pad for the first time.
@Quorthon Whoever makes a powerful console faster. That's what they need. They're halfway there with third party support. They just need to step over the line and make a powerful console and attract all the third parties, then they'll dominate the market.
A proper cellphone version would probably need to invert the clam shell design so that both faces are exposed at the same time; just add a thin hardcover for the controller face when you're not using it and you're golden
@MoonKnight7
Ah, yeah that's very easy to confuse. We use percentages in grades but it's still fitted to a 5 point scale
A = 100-90%
B = 89-80%
C = 79-70%
D = 69-60%
F = 59-0%
If we blow that up into a scale of ten:
9 = 100%
8 = 99-90%
7 = 89-85%
6 = 84-80%
5 = 79-75%
4 = 74-70%
3 = 69-65%
2 = 64-60%
1 = 59-55%
0 = 54-0%
I'm still mad at him for how he treated Hayter. The only thing that Konami can do with the MG/MGS series now is create spin-offs of the other characters since Snake's story has already been told.
@R-L-A-George Yeah, I needed to clarify on that a little bit, lol . I feel that the rating of a game should be given to it before a reviewer takes all of those other details into account, because when he/she starts to analyse the game, he/she might add or take away points for things that didn't really affect him/her during the game play. Of course, all of those details are what make the game enjoyable, so the reviewer should express his/her feelings about them in the long review.
@MoonKnight7 School grades are a on a scale of five, A, B, C, D, and F. A-D are passing grades (though some things require a grade of C) and F is failing. If you blow that up to match a scale of ten, 9-2 are passing and 1-0 are failing. But since D is barely passing and often doesn't count as passing, 3-2 are not worth buying. You see? It actually lines up, .
Games should be graded on whether or not they should be bought (that is why we read reviews anyway) so 5 and 4, being the middle numbers, should be the baseline to say that it is worth owning, but probably just on sale.
@sweetiepiejonus Honestly, the whole numbers thing is misleading; reviewers who just say whether the game is worth playing or not tend to be more reliable.
But I don't think that we have to get rid of numbers altogether, we should agree on what what each number means and stick to those definitions. Like: 9: Everyone should have this game; if you don't like it, you're weird. 8: Most people will like this game; it's worth every penny 7: It's 50/50; if you're in that 50, buy it. 6: This is a niche game, if it's your niche, buy it 5: Worth buying but only on sale 4: Worth buying but only on sale (niche) 3: Worth playing but not buying 2: Worth playing but not buying (niche) 1: This game is not even worth playing 0: This game is so broken/buggy/unfinished it's not playable
@sweetiepiejonus I know, right? But when you think about it, their just stating their opinions too, so it's almost the same thing, minus the whole in-depth review part.
8 is a bit generous. It really should be a 7 (7 is a good score, people, I don't understand why reviewers use it as a baseline) but then it should be knocked down to 6 for being so damn slow.

@WiiULoveSquid #35 I'd hate to be in your shoes, always being disappointing when nothing ever lives up to it's hype. Here's my advise, grow up a bit and realize that the masses love to exaggerate.
I walked into a Shell/McDonalds today in Texas, so I got to hear the coin collecting sound every time someone bought something at the gas station and there were Mario Kart toys in the McDonalds.
@gusmento01 I agree, it's also the same reason I am not impressed by speed skaters. Till they stop using clap skates and racing uniforms and go back outdoors, I will never acknowledge their feats as impressive.
@MrGuinea Of course I know how big Pac-Man is. That doesn't make him any less interesting. You should be careful about making blind assumptions, they don't make you look too bright.
I don't endorse piracy, I personally buy all of the games that I want and play, but I don't agree with the fact that it creates additional losses. Most people that pirate wouldn't have bought the game in the first place. Look at Steam, you could torrent all of the games that they offer, yet they are able sell thousands upon thousands of games a day. You want to know the secret to defeating piracy? Make good game. If the game is any good, people will want to own it. If more people pirate than buy your game, it's because the game isn't good.
Chrom has the same exact fighting style as Marth...
Ike's fighting style is extremely different from Marth's which is why you can't compare him to Chrom. And to those downplaying this reveal, I'll have you know that many of us Ike fans were getting pretty worried that he might be cut.
My frustration at people's lack of rational thought aside, this man has been working out! Just compare those biceps.
@Greenalink I know. I was just pointing out how pointless their comment to appear selfless was as the game was very obviously completed using a glitch and could not be considered a glitch-free run.
to the speed runner's credit they want this run to be categorized separately from glitch-free alternatives, in a desire that this won't replace arguably more impressive runs.
What does that even mean? This is obviously not glitch-free so it automatically doesn't get placed there. Also, it's a TAS, and would get put into that category automatically as well.
All I'm saying is I'd like to talk to my online friends the way it was not the way it is now.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you just PM your friends? Or even find a different method, like Skype, Facebook, or an actual forum? A method that you would have used if Miiverse wasn't a thing?
Oh and one last thing, Miiverse might have started has a means to help other users out but it has become so much more. Nintendo wants to keep it simple as they can which makes sense for them but one change can change the scoop for everyone else to the point where it isn't fun anymore and that's what they seem to be doing lately.
And Germans supported Hitler because he started out by telling them that he was restoring Germany.
@Spoony_Tech I would be inclined to agree with you if Miiverse was not a multitasking app. However, because you only have to suspend the game and can jump right back in while you wait. And it's not as if conversations will be impossible to carry. They will have to wait 3 minutes as well and both people will just end up taking turns while better formulating their response. Most of the people here are just complaining for the sake of complaining.
@Spoony_Tech #98 But they aren't taking away. The purpose of Miiverse is for players in need to seek helper from other players. By limiting the rapid fire posting it dissuades people from treating it like a chatting forum and keeps the focus on helping fellow players. On the matter of Swapnote, Nintendo had no way of keeping kids from posting their friend codes on public forums. It was the only course of action they could take to protect kids that only wanted acquaintances and not crude messages.
It's both hilarious and disheartening to know that so many people think that they are entitled to go stomping around as they please inside of Nintendo's services. On top of that, you people aren't even paying for the service. Additionally to that reason, don't forget why Miiverse was created in the first place, for people to seek out help for video games and for other people to help them. You do not need a quick posting forum for that.
@Damo Truly, I can't believe it either. Both of those scenarios are from very different angles and the intent and emotions are very different. I never said it would prevent damage, I'm pretty sure you would break your fist if you punched hard enough. However, because the intent is indeed to punch, the arm would have to be tense enough to not fold under the weight. You don't see boxers falling into sandbags because their elbows folded. Note that I am assuming that this a real person with real person jumping power because we are discussing what it would be like if Mario was realistic, not just Mario's arms.
@Damo @SkywardLink98 Actually, no. If he has the intent of breaking the block, then his arm would be tensed enough to stop him. I don't recommend trying it, however.
