What else could SEGA really do? You really think SEGA has any production facility or any employees left who know how to produce and distribute game hardware? 17 years after they discontinued their last console, and made the transformation to a Game-Software company?
Ok, most hardware get produced in China these days, from an external company. But SEGA would need the hardware engineers and OS developers to make a prototype in-house. Staff that they don't have anymore in 2018.
Although, SEGA should perhaps have chosen a better hardware partner than AtGames for the task...
"we wish Sega would take Nintendo's lead and create the software for this system internally, as Nintendo did with both the NES Classic and SNES Classic."
Well, yes. SEGA could maybe make the software for this Mega Drive Mini, but do the they have the knowhow to do it?
And does SEGA still have the necessary knowhow to build a new console internally? Even if we are just talking about rebuilding an old console in mini format, you still need a small hardware division.
My guess is that SEGA 2018 doesn't have any clue about building and selling hardware anymore. They are just a game-software company today. All those hardware employees are long gone.
And making a small new mini OS for some new hardware, is not that easy either. Even if someone else made the hardware, you would still need to hire a lot of new people and OS experts for that task. Not something for your Game developing division, or Sonic Team. That's for sure!
So expecting SEGA to make a new console by them selves these days, is pretty naive! They can't do it anymore.
Nintendo should not have used USB-C then, if they do not want to follow the compliance requirements.
If Nintendo doesn't want to play nice with others, and just do the Apple thing, then they should just keep using proprietary connectors instead of an industry standard.
Everything else is just misleading, and a very bad move by Nintendo.
I remember how people were happy about Nintendo finally was using a industry standard with the Switch. And now this!!!
Everyone defending Nintendo in this, are just delusional fanboys. Wake up.
Actually, Nintendo should get a big fine, if they do not follow the USB-C standard, but are using a USB-C port. They are misleading their customers!
Pretending to use a industry standard, and not doing it, is far worse than just using proprietary stuff and be honest about it.
I like how fast and simple it is. We could use some more options, and another layout, but don't make it slow and bloated like the Wii U e-shop. Then I rather would keep it like it is, and have the current speed and responsiveness.
@Erchitu @joey302 Really? The Wii U e-shop was so bloated and slow!!! Why would you ever go back to this? The store design was ok, but just to slow and sluggish. I hope Nintendo keep prioritize speed and responsiveness over to many features with the Switch!

Love this game. Especially the co-up mode, that is essentially half of the game.
The co-up mode is more fun than the single player mode, even if you have to play it solo with the AI. It's that great, and I understand why it got such a high review score!
This co-up mode makes all the difference compared to other versions of this game on other platforms. Regardless of any performance issues, it's really worth it!
Nonsense. Has nothing to do with it. Those games could also have gotten a physical release, you know? Wouldn't have changed anything!
The real issue here is if the games are online only, and therefore depends on a server. If those servers or services get shot down, the games does lose their value, no matter how they where distributed.
Will also happen to a game like Splatoon one day, no matter if you own the physical version or the digital one.
As a developer, I am offended with all those dumbbutt comments here from people who doesn't know anything at all!!!
Nintendo can't just use some off the shelf software here and be done with it. Everything needs to be made from scratch, to make it perform well, and use as little from the console resources as possible. A console OS can't be big and bloated!
I am also working in a team of four, with two backend developers, one fronted/designer and one tester. This is a perfect size for a team, working on a particular medium/large size feature.
Putting 30 to 50 people on such a task doesn't make any sense, if you want any quality and stable result out of it. It would be difficult to organize work, and keep up the coding standard.
Nintendo surely have plenty of small development teams like that, who maintain and develop different compact areas of the Switch OS. It makes perfectly sense.
The Switch OS is a really nice and slick OS. Fast and responsive. All needed to be made from scratch for the new console hardware and architecture. People do not realize how much work all this takes, and Nintendo has done a really good job here.
The Wii U had a bloated, slow and awful OS, where they had way to many features to start with, that prevented them to focus on performance. It was probably build on top of the old Wii OS to cut corners, and that didn't help them very much.
With the Switch OS, Nintendo has made all the right choices it seems. Thrown all the old bloated code out of the window, and started from scratch! They have focused on performance, speed and responsiveness before any features, and are now slowly building upon a great foundation.
I am really happy with the result, and wasn't sure Nintendo could pull it off after the messy Wii U OS. I can wait for all the other features and services, as long as I am getting some really quality stuff out of it, that doesn't destroy the overall performance of the Switch OS.
"..but it would seem that by pairing itself with tech giant Nvidia - whose Tegra silicon powers the console - the Japanese giant is going have to accept that things aren't as nailed-down as they used to be."
Why is this relevant? Can somebody enlighten me?
How is teaming up with Nvidia any different from previous generations, where Nintendo teamed up with IBM, who made the CPU, and AMD who made the GPU?
How was previous hardware more "nailed-down" as it is on the Switch? I can't find any logic in this? Weren't previous consoles as easy to hack?
Yes. I am looking forward to a Ridge Racer on Switch. But exclusivity isn't really something I care about. I would be happy if Sony and MS players could play it also.
The only benefit of a exclusivity deal, is that the game will be optimized perfectly for the Switch hardware. That I am looking forward to
Well. MH isn't really selling that well in the West yet. So how would a last gen 3DS port really sell on Switch in the West? And with all the competition from other great games the last year? Capcom surely doesn't think it's worth it yet.
In Japan MH prints money, so Capcom released this quick and dirty port there, because they underestimated the Switch. But this was a no-brainer.
But maybe they want to wait and see how it goes with the Switch in the West, and only release a proper MH Switch game over here. Let's see.
Makes all sense. And maybe it's best that MH:World isn't coming to Switch at all?
Not all current gen games can be successfully ported to Switch like Doom. Bethesda's id Tech 6 engine scales really well, and makes Doom possible on Switch. But the Switch is pushed to it's limits to run that game on the lowest possible settings.
Capcom can't really be blamed to target the hardware of PS4 and X1 four years ago, and maybe their engine doesn't scale as well as id Tech 6? So maybe they do not believe MH:World actually will run good enough on the Switch?
And we do not need a poor port of MH: World on the Switch. That wouldn't benefit anyone at all.
No, what we need is a new and exclusive MH game build for the Switch from the ground up. And that is what we will get. No doubt about it!
The Switch is selling so well in Japan, where it has the potential to become the best selling console of all time! So of course Capcom will make a MH game for it down the line. And possible more than one!
Japan is by far the most important market for MH, and Nintendo totally owns it. Capcom and all Japanese developers will deliver on Switch the comming years.
Maybe it's this generation, where major Japanese game series will switch primary platform from Sony to Nintendo? Like Final Fantasy, Yakuza, MH and Persona?
With an estimated 30 mio Switch units sold doing it's lifetime in Japan, vs. 10 mio PS4 units, it could all easily happen in a few years.
@Cosats
You are so wrong about that! Your comment doesn't make any sense!
Why should a reviewer look at other reviews or opinions on Facebook and Twitter? Why should they influence his evaluation of a game?!? That would be wrong.
Reviews should always be a subjective opinion. That's the whole purpose of a review. Nothing else.
A reviewer on Nintendolife or IGN is just someone who have played and tested more games than the average gamer, and therefore are "experts" with a better foundation and understanding to compare games.
But any honest user review can be just as good. Nobody has the "truth". It's all just subjective and biased opinions anyway. You as a reader can then agree or disagree on that evaluation.
An "objective" review doesn't make any sense at all, and is just pure bullshit :
"I do not like this game very much, and think it's a six or seven. But I can see others would probably like it more, and on Twitter some people seems to like it very much, so I give this a nine"!!!!
How many games have been released on a 32 GB cartridge?!? Two?
As long as publishers are making the cheap move, like releasing half of the game on low capacity cartridges, with mandatory downloads for the customers, then there isn't really a need for a 64 GB cartridge.
Every single Switch Game released today could fit into a 32 GB cartridge!
The sad thing about this, is that the Switch offers a solution where game installations isn't necessary, because of high speed cartridges. But publishers are ruining it all with there cheap solution.
@Cosats Reviews should always be a subjective opinion. That's the whole purpose of a review. Nothing else.

People should take it easy. I really can't see the problem with Capcom releasing this on phones?
Simple JRPG's like this, is normally a good fit for touch screen controls, if they are done right. Square Enix have also ported some of their big games to mobile, so why can't Capcom do it?
If you buy a premium game on a console, like 3DS and Switch, you pay more because of the limited audience compared to iOS/Androd. Publishers simply can't reach that many customers on consoles. On mobile they can lower the price, because they can sell much more.
But you are also getting a premium control setup, with stick and buttons, and a more optimized game for your particular platform, when you buy it for consoles.
Advanced controls benefit some games more than others, but even if the controls are very simple, I still prefer real gamepad controls over touch controls. And I do not have a problem with paying a higher price to achieve this.
Like a simple game as "Cat Quest" is much better on my Switch than on my phone. And a big game like "Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King" is also much more enjoyable on my 3DS, than on my phone.
Likewise, Monster Hunter Stories will never be as good on iOS / Android, than on 3DS. And I have no problem with the lower price on these platforms, because I gladly pay for the more premium game experience on my 3DS.
No, but the Switch should still sell much better in Europe than in Japan, than it currently is. It's simply not a big seller in Europe compared to PS4.
Switch is doing ok, but not great. The Switch hype train haven't reached Europe yet !!!
So in Japan the Switch is doing it fantastic, and is reaching the same sales numbers as in Europe, where it is not doing great at all.
"Dedicated" gaming population or not, the European gaming market is still the largest, where most unit get sold overall!
Look at week 41, 2017 in the links I posted above. Overall hardware sales that week:
Europe : 254,072 units
USA: 183,816 units
Japan: 89,196 units
Europe and Japan is also difficult to compare, because Japan is more into handhelds, witch benefits the Switch, while Europe is still very much a home console market.
You can't compare EU with Japan like that. It's like 510 million people in EU vs 127 millions in Japan! ( All Europe is 743 millions )
So the Switch should have much higher sales numbers in the EU compared to Japan, but they are almost the same!
The market in the EU is overall the biggest, but Nintendo is doing poorly compared to Sony and PS4. PS4 is still outselling the Switch 3 to 1 one in Europe, while the situation is opposite in Japan.
The Switch is doing just ok in France and Germany, with moderate sales compared to PS4. But still much better than what the Wii U did
In the UK alone the Switch is selling less than the X1 every week. Not very good
The Switch is selling fantastic in Japan, as expected. They are not really into home consoles anymore, and the Switch is just made for that market. Nintendo is going to dominate there.
In the US the Switch is selling really good as well, although not dominating as in Japan. The Switch is selling as well as PS4, and it's a success for now. It is encouraging.
In Europe the Switch has disappointed, and UK is probably the worst area for Nintendo. This is the reason why you haven't seen many "Switches" in the wild.
It's almost the opposite situation in Europe compared to Japan. PS4 is totally dominating Europe.
Mario and Zelda haven't really made the Switch take of in Europe. Perhaps a new exclusive Pokemon game for Switch could change that?
We will see more great Western AAA support in the future though, if the Switch continues to sell this well in the US as it does now!
But perhaps some will not release a physical version in Europe, if the sales doesn't get any better?
Sony is a much bigger company, with many divisions that generate huge losses. Sony has been on a decline for many years in almost all areas except gaming and PlayStation.
PlayStation makes huge profits for the company, and pays the bill for all the other stuff that doesn't work out for them!
"Sony naturally has other interests outside of gaming, such as consumer electronics and smartphones, which makes Nintendo's achievement even more impressive."
Not really. Sony's other interests outside of gaming are almost all failures, giving the company huge losses.
The only real major and profitable division for Sony, is it's gaming and PlayStation division. This is why Sony still exist!!!
If Sony had sold of all other divisions and interests, and only made PlayStation and games, the company would generate much lager profits, and probably have a bigger cash reserve than Nintendo!
PlayStation is paying the bill for all of Sony's failures .
But I am so happy, that Nintendo is doing great, and is a healthy company
@lumothesinner Are yes, Thanks. You only have to call Nintendo if your loose your current "Primary" Switch. Because there are no other way to deregister a active Switch online right now.
Only if you make the other Switch to your "Primary" Switch. You have one "Primary" Switch, where you account is bound to, and therefore also all your digital content.
Right now you can change your "Primary" Switch by calling Nintendo, but i guess they will also make this process possible online in the future, like the way Sony does?
You can also make a total "System transfer" if you have both Switch. This will also change the "Primary" Switch to the new one.
But about playing the game on another Switch from the card. You save files are stored on your Switch storage, and can only be transferred if you make a total "System transfer" to another Switch.
@Marshi Maybe the stores don't order that many games home, because the install base of the Switch is so low i Europe an UK?
The UK is actually the area where the Switch have sold less than X1! In France and Germany Nintendo is more popular, and has sold a bit more. But still lower than expected.
I think Europe will loose out on more physical titles in the future. And it's logical. We are simply not very interested in Nintendo products.
Switch is actually not selling very well in Europe, making poor numbers similar to X1. It's disappointing to see, but the Switch hype train hasn't really arrived to Europe yet.
My fellow Europeans are just brainwashed PlayStation morons. If a new fantastic Zelda and Mario game can't sell the Switch here, what can?!? Maybe a new exclusive Switch Pokemon game will help?!?
At least the Switch is still selling way better than the Wii U did
Then again, this stupid way of only releasing half of the content on the cart is ruining the physical release for me anyway. So no big loss here!
Sure, they once were. But since Jobs passed away they have made nothing special or innovative at all. More or less trying to catch up.
There is nothing special or innovative about the iPhone X. Most of the new stuff have already been made by other companies, like Samsung.
Apple still makes some high quality products, and the iPhone X is a fantastic phone. But how is it innovative?!?
I understand why people like Apple products, but I do not like their closed ecosystems. Almost nothing what they do is cross-platform and play nice with other systems or platforms. They are building their own little evil and closed empire!
I think that is the main reason why some people do not like Apple very much.
Google products and services are mostly cross-platform, and work nice with other platforms. That is why I prefer Android devices over Apple's. There is more freedom on Android!
That shouldn't be so hard to understand, when the companies start all over from scratch with a totally new OS every time they release a new console.
Then it's actually very logical, that they are missing a lot of features from the previous generation, that was developed over years.
It's difficult for Nintendo to transfer an old OS from a previous console to a new one, when the hardware and functionalities are so fundamental different in each generation. It's difficult to make that work.
Also, it takes a lot of resources to build a modern game console OS. People and developers demand a lot of features compared to the old GameCube days. And it has to be extremely minimal and use very little of the consoles resources to run, so all the power can be used for the games to run fantastic.
That is why a game console OS often is tailor made for a very specific hardware, so it can run as efficient as possible. That also speeds up the development time, witch there isn't much of to begin with.
All this make it almost impossible to transfer the old OS to a different hardware, and you have to start all over. The hardware just changes so much in 4-5 years.
When you compare it with iOS or Android, then these are developed for phones and tablets that slowly changes hardware every year. iOS or Android is always adapting to the newest hardware, that doesn't change fundamentally in every generation, like we see with Nintendo consoles. It's a totally different philosophy.
It's like small changes comparable with how the hardware of the 3DS have also changed over the years.
Better fast and responsive, than bloated and sluggish like Wii U e-shop.
I am a web developer, and can appreciate Nintendo's "minimal viable product" approach to the Switch OS and E-shop app.
People are stupid, if they call this fast, fluid and simple OS a alpha product. Have they forgotten how slow and awful it was on the Wii U?
Nobody needs "feature creep". And as long as there isn't more content on the NS e-shop, I can't really see the problem yet?
Nintendo will slowly develop more features, while the e-shop gets more and more content. By having a simple and basic foundation, the OS and e-shop can be developed exploratory and more naturally, and hopefully keep some of it's speed and simplicity over the years!
Consumers should just have some more patience. They will get a better product down the line, with Nintendo's new smarter incremental approach to OS and feature development.
I just want them to know, that this is not okay. I am definitely not going to support the broken physical release. And for the digital version, it will be way down on my list, because of their stupid decisions. I just can't make myself support this kind of crap.
It's a tricky situation. We want to support 3rd party games, that we like, but not that kind of business model, where they "ruin" the physical release. If we keep supporting them, they will just continue with this stupid way of releasing physical games.
I can't really see the point with games like L.A. Noire, where you only get the "Data" for half the game on the physical cartridge, and have to download the rest afterwards. This is so "broken".
For me these games are just like glorified download codes in a box. I can't really use them much, and would rather just get them all digital then.
I find it difficult to support, when there are options like a 32 GB cartridge where the whole game fits nicely, and the publisher then takes the cheap broken solution.
It just works against the whole concept about those nice fast cartridges, where you actually weren't supposed to install anything.
I can live with a solution like Doom, that offer's the full singleplayer game on the cartridge, and an optional multiplayer mode as a download. But I won't support that other crap.
And how do you use that nice pro controller in handheld mode? Sure, I could use it in Tabletop, but that is not handheld!!! Tabletop isn't always available to me in the train.
I am mostly a portable gamer, and prefer to use the Switch in Handheld mode. As most people do, according to latest research. I also prefer a real d-pad for my 2d games, and would love the idea of Nintendo releasing some pro d-pad joy cons!
All you people using the Switch in docked mode mostly, couldn't probably care less. Just use your pro controller. But this doesn't help me.
Interesting how much better games loads, when it is placed on the internal storage, compared to SD card or cartridge.
And wired, that you can't transfer games from SD to internal storage and back, when there er these performance benefits to gain.
I have to remember to take my SD card out, before downloading the game, and then it is stuck there on the internal storage. And I have to delete it first, and then redownload it again to SD, if I want to transfer it. So cumbersome!
Hope Nintendo will address this issue in a future update.
Yeah well..with that logic: SMB lead to SMB3 and later id software and Doom!
I agree, that SMB3 was the next big important step in the series, and influenced a lot of games.
But so did SMB. Just look at that game, the mechanics and enemies. And also the sounds and music. All the most important foundations in the series was created there. And I do not think it lacks any depth. It even play fantastic today.
SMB3 just refined the whole concept, and added so much more fantastic stuff.
Well, If you talk about most iconic and importance for 2d platformers, I really can't see why SMB3 should beat the first SMB?!?
SMB3 had a lot of great ideas, and added very important stuff to the formular. But the basic gameplay was invented in SMB, and overall had a bigger impact.
Woted for the original Super Mario Bros. as best Mario. It's just so iconic and was mind blowing when it came out.
Super Mario Bros. 3 and World where fantastic and had more to offer, but was still based on the same fantastic formular. The first game just had the biggest impact for me.
I mean, before Mario, it was the games like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Dig Dug, that was the greatest of the greatest. Nothing wrong with these iconic games, but the first SMB was such a game changer in so many ways.
Odyssey is a true platform-adventure game. Lots of exploration in big open level. Like 3d platformers used to be, when 3d games arrived back in the 90's.
Odyssey continues this good old genre from Mario 64 and Sunshine. I just love these type of platform-adventures from back then.
The Galaxy games somehow tried to re-invent 3d Mario as a more pure platform experience, with not so much emphasis on "adventure". Nintendo went back to Mario's 2d roots, when it came to game structure and smaller, more linear level.
I really loved what Nintendo did back then, and Galaxy is one of my absolute favorite games. But I think I like the adventure Mario better, so my vote goes to Odyssey.
Oh, man. Stop being so narrow sighted. The stats show that most people use the Switch as intended. As a true hybrid console. And a big chunk of 20% uses it as a home console only.
You can't find such statistics with any portable that has TV out. Get real dude...
Why does people not get, that the Switch is a true hybrid console?!? How hard can it be, folks?
It offer's three different play modes: Handheld, Tabletop and TV mode, out of the box. It has detachable controllers, witch complements all these modes, even with 2 players. The Switch was designed to work equally good in all three modes, and the hybrid concept was the primary functionality behind the console.
PSP and other pure portable console's, that offered TV out in the past, where mainly designed as handheld console's first. The TV-out functionality was a bonus feature, but not the primary focus.
Also, both home-console and portable gamers have to make compromises with the Switch, because it's a true hybrid.
It's not as pocket or battery friendly as pure portable consoles, and it's not as powerful or offers big hard drive solutions like pure home-consoles. All because it's a Hybrid.
Even the Switch games are designed for the hybrid concept, offering different functionality and enhancements for the different modes. Like better resolution in TV mode, or touch functionality in portable mode.
Some games are best enjoyed on TV, like Odyssey or Splatoon witch enhanced motion controls, and even Zelda. These games are TV games first, and portable second.
We will also see some more mobile oriented games for the Switch, that will be better in portable mode, using the touch screen to the fullest, and being designed for shorter play sessions.
I didn't see this kind of special enhancements for different play modes, in games for previous portable consoles that had TV-out. Because they where simply just portable consoles, with a secondary TV-out feature. It wasn't in the main concept behind those consoles.
The games all ran with the same resolution like the portable hardware, and didn't offer improved or special designed control options in TV mode. It was exactly the same, no matter witch mode it was in.
Actually it didn't offer any different modes... Just regular TV-out.

Yes. We have. But how does my Pro Controller help me, when I want to use a D-pad in handheld mode?
Re: Your Prayers Have Been Answered, Hori Is Making A Joy-Con With A Proper D-Pad
Yes. Finally. A D-pad option to play on handheld mode.
I don't need wireless in handheld mode. And in the other modes i use the Pro controller, or my 8Bitdo controllers, when I need a d-pad.

Re: Hackers Turn The Nintendo Switch Into A Functioning Linux Tablet
"..but it would seem that by pairing itself with tech giant Nvidia - whose Tegra silicon powers the console - the Japanese giant is going have to accept that things aren't as nailed-down as they used to be."
Why is this relevant? Can somebody enlighten me?
How is teaming up with Nvidia any different from previous generations, where Nintendo teamed up with IBM, who made the CPU, and AMD who made the GPU?
How was previous hardware more "nailed-down" as it is on the Switch? I can't find any logic in this? Weren't previous consoles as easy to hack?

Re: Rumour: Ridge Racer 8 Could Be Exclusively Drifting Onto Nintendo Switch
Yes. I am looking forward to a Ridge Racer on Switch. But exclusivity isn't really something I care about. I would be happy if Sony and MS players could play it also.
The only benefit of a exclusivity deal, is that the game will be optimized perfectly for the Switch hardware. That I am looking forward to
Re: Capcom Explains (Again) Why Monster Hunter World Isn't Coming To Switch
@CroRock
Let's see.
Re: Capcom Explains (Again) Why Monster Hunter World Isn't Coming To Switch

Re: Review: Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King (Switch eShop)
@Cosats
Re: Nintendo Has Reportedly Delayed the Roll-Out of 64GB Switch Game Cartridges
How many games have been released on a 32 GB cartridge?!? Two?
As long as publishers are making the cheap move, like releasing half of the game on low capacity cartridges, with mandatory downloads for the customers, then there isn't really a need for a 64 GB cartridge.
Every single Switch Game released today could fit into a 32 GB cartridge!
The sad thing about this, is that the Switch offers a solution where game installations isn't necessary, because of high speed cartridges. But publishers are ruining it all with there cheap solution.
Re: Review: Arcade Archives VS. Super Mario Bros. (Switch eShop)
@Fight_Teza_Fight
You can't just compare Mario Odyssey & Zelda BOTW to SMB like that. Pricing and value for money is also to be considered in a review score.
You cannot expect the same of a game, that costs 10$, and a game that costs 50$. Both can be 10/10 games, though.
A simple budget Short-film can also get a fantastic 10/10 review, without being a big lengthy and expensive Hollywood blockbuster movie.
Why can a short little children book not be a 10/10?!??
In the end it's all about subjective opinions, and if something is good or bad.

Re: Monster Hunter Stories Has Launched on iOS and Android in Japan
Re: Nintendo Switch Hardware Sales Reach Another Level in Japan
@westman98
Re: Nintendo Switch Hardware Sales Reach Another Level in Japan
@westman98
Not very good
Re: Nintendo Switch Hardware Sales Reach Another Level in Japan
@Alexprime
Nonsense. Combined Europe is a much larger market than the US and Japan. The population in the EU alone is bigger than the US.
Nintendo is selling poorly in Europe, while PlayStation and Sony is the king of the charts.
Lifetime PS4 sales (September) in all EU reached 26 millions, while only 20 million sales in the US.
PS3 sold like 34,5 millions in EU, and only like 27 million in the US.
http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/43023/Europe/
http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/43023/USA/
So Europe is a very important market, and where PS4 is outselling the Switch 3 to 1. It's the most important market for Sony!
Re: Nintendo Switch Hardware Sales Reach Another Level in Japan
@WhistleFish
Re: Nintendo Tops Toyo Keizai's List Of Japan's Richest Companies, While Sony Is Fourth
@NintyNate
Sony is a much bigger company, with many divisions that generate huge losses. Sony has been on a decline for many years in almost all areas except gaming and PlayStation.
PlayStation makes huge profits for the company, and pays the bill for all the other stuff that doesn't work out for them!
Re: Nintendo Tops Toyo Keizai's List Of Japan's Richest Companies, While Sony Is Fourth
Re: Resident Evil Revelations Collection Isn't Getting A Physical Release On Switch In Europe
@lumothesinner
Are yes, Thanks. You only have to call Nintendo if your loose your current "Primary" Switch. Because there are no other way to deregister a active Switch online right now.
Re: Resident Evil Revelations Collection Isn't Getting A Physical Release On Switch In Europe
@beazlen1
No you can't.
Re: Resident Evil Revelations Collection Isn't Getting A Physical Release On Switch In Europe
@Marshi
Maybe the stores don't order that many games home, because the install base of the Switch is so low i Europe an UK?
The UK is actually the area where the Switch have sold less than X1! In France and Germany Nintendo is more popular, and has sold a bit more. But still lower than expected.
Re: Resident Evil Revelations Collection Isn't Getting A Physical Release On Switch In Europe
Re: TIME Names the Nintendo Switch Its Number One Gadget of 2017
@SanderEvers
How is Apple still innovative?
Re: The Switch eShop Now Lets You Search for Game Demos
@EternalDragonX
Re: The Switch eShop Now Lets You Search for Game Demos
Re: There's Plenty Of Retail Opportunity For Third Parties On Switch, Says Sold Out Boss
@IPrino
Fair enough.
Re: There's Plenty Of Retail Opportunity For Third Parties On Switch, Says Sold Out Boss
@IPrino
Re: Your Joy-Con Can Now Have a D-Pad if You’re Brave Enough
@daveh30
You are ignorant. That's a Fact!
Not your silly subjective claim about the joy-cons buttons are better than the d-pad on the controller. Not for all games and all people.
Some people have other preferences than you. Stop telling others how they should play their games.
Re: Your Joy-Con Can Now Have a D-Pad if You’re Brave Enough
@Mintendo
No one forces you to buy these extra peripherals, if Nintendo decides to release such pro Joy-cons with d-pads.
I think everyone agree, that the current Joy-cons are a great concept for multiplayer, and should still be the standard setup for Switch.
But releasing extra controller options for customers who request a more specialized setup, can never be a bad thing. Not if demand is high enough.
Re: Your Joy-Con Can Now Have a D-Pad if You’re Brave Enough
@MaSSiVeRiCaN
Re: Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition Update Tackles Load Times and Framerate on Switch
@QuickSilver88
Re: Poll: Which is the Best Super Mario Game?
@PlywoodStick
Re: Poll: Which is the Best Super Mario Game?
@PlywoodStick
Re: Poll: Which is the Best Super Mario Game?
Woted for the original Super Mario Bros. as best Mario. It's just so iconic and was mind blowing when it came out.
Super Mario Bros. 3 and World where fantastic and had more to offer, but was still based on the same fantastic formular. The first game just had the biggest impact for me.
I mean, before Mario, it was the games like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Dig Dug, that was the greatest of the greatest. Nothing wrong with these iconic games, but the first SMB was such a game changer in so many ways.
Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd November (North America)
Sonic b goode....
Re: Anniversary: It's Been 10 Years Since Super Mario Galaxy Landed On The Wii
Re: Nintendo Gamers Prefer Using Switch As A Handheld Rather Than Docked
@shani
