Re: Review: Subdivision Infinity DX - A Decent Port Of A Tight Little Dogfighter

dleec8

@AngelFox I was just about to come down here and mention Wing Commander so thank you for bringing it up! My dad would play the original Wing Commander through MS-DOS and I was about 7 years old watching with complete awe as the game went through its various cinematic cut scenes and first person perspective in the cockpit during missions. Wing Commander was not only a trail blazer in terms of dog fighting, but it was a pioneer in story telling as well. I have been a life long WC fan ever since. Give Wing Commander its just due, Nintendolife!

Re: Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers "Not Currently Scheduled To Return" In North America

dleec8

As someone who buys digital 95% of the time, the voucher program was big for me. I got 2 sets and picked up Mario Maker 2 and Fire Emblem 3 Houses. I still have 2 vouchers left and will be picking up Astral Chain and most likely Link's Awakening. The only reason Nintendo would discontinue the program here in North America is the same reason any company discontinues any promotion that features price cuts. Besides the fact that price cuts lead to lost profits on normal sales margins, having indefinite sales promotions can actually lower the perceived fair price of the product itself. Its like those games that are always on sale in the eshop. Because they are on sale always, nobody is going to pay "regular" price for those goods since the "regular" price is perceived to be the price when they are on sale.

Re: Edelgard And The Black Eagles Are The Most Popular In Fire Emblem: Three Houses

dleec8

@NinjaAceTrainer I love giving gifts to Bernadetta and raising her support level if not for the fact that her cut scenes are usually hilarious. Her screaming in fear from people simply approaching her to say hi and her jumping to the conclusion that she's about to die when people simply want to invite her to hang out are some of the most hilarious moments in the game for me so far.

Re: Dedicated Fans Are Working To Revive A '90s Sonic Cartoon With New Series

dleec8

This cartoon may have been the first "dramatic" cartoon I ever watched and loved. The vibe of this show was that Sonic and Princess Sally were leading the forest creatures in a desperate fight for survival against Robotnik and his SwatBots, who wanted to turn the entire forest and it's inhabitants into machines. I was watching this series alongside reading the Sonic comic book, which was essentially following the same overall story as the cartoon. This cartoon was appointment television for me and I was up every Saturday morning pumped and ready to watch it. This series and the comic book defined the world of sonic for me as a child, and the later Sonic cartoon that came after was just too light hearted and wacky in comparison.

Re: Japanese Charts: Fire Emblem: Three Houses' Dominance Continues With Another Number One

dleec8

I'll say this about Fire Emblem. It's very rare nowadays that a game hooks me in to the point that I look forward to playing it every single day for at least 3 hours or more from the moment I first play it. The way I have been playing Fire Emblem reminds me of the way I would get super hooked on games when I was a kid and be looking forward to getting home from school to start playing right away. Even when a game is very fun for me to play and I have just bought it brand new, I still enjoy rotating the games I play and not focusing too much on one game unless it's truly hooked me. So far this year, the only games that have hooked me like that have been the RE2 Remake and Fire Emblem Three Houses. Fire Emblem Three Houses is a phenomenal experience so far and I can tell that this title may end up having the most hours played on my Switch to date.

Re: Nintendo's Digital Sales See A Whopping Year-On-Year Jump

dleec8

Digital is an easy choice for me. I'm an adult, and I don't care about having a bunch of game boxes around that are useless to me and that take up space. I have 111 digital games for my Switch and I can switch from one to another in the matter of seconds without keeping physical carts around and changing them out. Digital is all about being convenient for me and gaming is a hobby to relax, and relaxing should be as convenient as possible. I know others will always prefer physical but those were my own reasons why I prefer digital.

Re: Reminder: This Is Your Last Chance To Buy Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers (North America)

dleec8

Thanks for the heads up, Nintendolife. I already bought one of these voucher sets when they came out and used them on Mario Maker 2 and Fire Emblem Three Houses. I forgot these expired so quickly and was planning to buy another set before Astral Chain came out. I'm going to buy another set now and use one voucher for Astral Chain and the other for either Pokemon Shield, or Link's Awakening for Switch. I'll probably end up going with Link's Awakening though since I am a Legend of Zelda fan first and foremost above all other franchises.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 27th)

dleec8

@mcdreamer When I first played FFX (when it originally came out on PS2) I shared your feelings about the voice acting. The voice acting is okay, but it's not up to the standards of what we would expect in a block buster RPG today. So I know what you mean about the voice acting but the game really picks up story wise about half way througuh and really starts to suck you in from that point, at least that's how it was with me. I'd advise you to stick it out a little while more before you turn your attention elsewhere.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 27th)

dleec8

I'll be playing Fire Emblem Three Houses this weekend, next weekend, and every weekend for the foreseeable future. Oh, and I'll also be playing it on many of the weekdays in between those weekends. This game just so immersive and great at building a world where you feel closeness to your students and the rest of the Officer's Academy and Monastery staff. The story pulls you in and doesn't let you out. And of course, the strategy elements and gameplay are just as satisfying and high stakes as usual. Long live the Black Eagles!

Re: My Nintendo Offering Unique Box Arts For Fire Emblem: Three Houses (North America)

dleec8

Hey guys! I have an original comment! My Nintendo gives us free stuff I don't like so I'm going to complain! I hate free stuff I don't like! Im gonna keep bringing up the old rewards program even though it was phased out several years ago! I'm an original commentator who makes comments that nobody else has made 10,000 times by now! I like complaining about free things! (Disclaimer: I used 50 silver coins for the Black Eagles wall paper and I love how it looks as my laptop background now. Long live the Adestrian Empire!)

Re: Review: Fire Emblem: Three Houses - The Zenith Of A Legendary SRPG Series

dleec8

I LOOOOOOVE how this game tells its story so far. It truly sucks you into the role of a professor at an Officer's Academy. Each of the units you have out on the field are individuals with their own goals, desires, friends, and motivations. You get that extra bit of worry about keeping them safe and alive because you don't want to lose a student. I LOVE THIS GAME AND HAVE BECOME ENGROSSED IN IT!

Re: Review: Fire Emblem: Three Houses - The Zenith Of A Legendary SRPG Series

dleec8

I just finished playing 4 hours straight of this game. It's the type that you don't want to put the controller down for. I'm super into the whole dynamic of leading one house against the others and seeing the story from that perspective. The cut scenes, in my opinion, have been great. Just loving this so far but need to go to bed so I can wake up and start playing again!

Re: Amazon Prime Video Is Dropping Support For The Wii U This September

dleec8

When I first got my Wii U, I was renting a room with an old CRT TV in it. Since the Wii U could hook up to that TV with AV cords, I was able to stream Youtube, Netflix, and Amazon Prime video on an old TV. More often than not, I would also simply watch shows in my bed using the Gamepad (when I wasn't using my laptop for such things). Thank you for those many hours of entertainment, old Wii U. I still use the Wii U to play games actually, and I have the Gamepad by my bedside tonight so I can continue my journey through The Palace of the Winds in Minish Cap. I still have a ton of games I need to beat on my Wii U. The backlog: Both a blessing and a curse...

Re: Game Freak Isn't Reusing 3DS Models In Pokémon Sword and Shield

dleec8

@Gzeus88 Let me reiterate what I stated earlier. I said I fell in love with Pokemon because I became obsessed with crafting the perfect team for battles. I never said I used the same exact team across every single game, or that I wanted to use the same team across every game. I said that I became attached to my individual Pokemon because I battled with them so much. I didn't say that I was so attached to my Pokemon that I wanted to use the same exact Pokemon and transfer them across every generation. You are putting words in my mouth and making connections that I never stated. I said that I did not fall in love with the Pokemon series because of graphics/collecting, I fell in love with the series for reasons that had nothing to do with graphics/collecting such as the story of the Pokemon world itself, the battling aspect of it and creating strategies for a team, and during that process I became attached to my teams. I never said I wanted to play with them across all generations.

Re: Game Freak Isn't Reusing 3DS Models In Pokémon Sword and Shield

dleec8

@Gzeus88 What about "I asked why you suddenly weren't so attached now considering we are losing a vast majority of pokemon from the new gen" didn't I answer clearly? I stated that I want to experience new Pokemon in every new Pokemon game that I play and that is why I am not "so attached" to the previous Pokemon I played with.

Re: Game Freak Isn't Reusing 3DS Models In Pokémon Sword and Shield

dleec8

@TheBlue10 People were offering their opinions, and I offered mine. This is a public comment section for people to express their views, is it not? I could just as easily ask you why you comment so much on a game you appear to dislike? Why waste your time debating others when you should just ignore a game that you don't support? My ultimate point to offer is that Sword and Shield may be a great game that is very fun to play, even for the people complaining about it now before it is released. There are Pokemon fans who exist who don't care about many of the things people who are complaining in this comment section are bringing up, especially when the game hasn't even released yet and everybody complaining here is yet to play the actual game itself. "The whole point of this situation", as you have it your mind, is your point of view according to your perspective. You have things you have been unhappy about since Gen 6, as you have claimed. I have stated that as long as the gameplay is satisfying then I will be happy, as will many others. I hope the game surprises you since it is obvious you have your doubts about it now.

Re: Game Freak Isn't Reusing 3DS Models In Pokémon Sword and Shield

dleec8

@Gzeus88 I am not so attached to Gen 1 Pokemon that I need to recreate my original team and play with them all over again. This is just my viewpoint, but variety is the spice of life. Why would I want to play an entirely new Pokemon game and only use the same Pokemon that I invested hundreds of hours in already when there are new Pokemon to play with and experience. I am sure that some people will want every Pokemon game from here to eternity to have every single Pokemon ever created in it, but does every single Pokemon game need to include every single Pokemon created in it for it to feel complete? I don't. I don't mind if older Pokemon are excluded because I don't judge Pokemon games based on whether the national Pokedex is complete. I judge it on whether the gameplay is satisfying, and on if the story draws me in. That is just me of course, and other people will have different priorities.

Re: Game Freak Isn't Reusing 3DS Models In Pokémon Sword and Shield

dleec8

@Gzeus88 Because I lost the cart a decade ago and don't have them anymore? Because I have other games to play? Because I can play the new Pokemon game when it comes out if I want to get my Pokemon fix?

Look, I am not saying that your reasons for liking Pokemon are wrong or anything. I was just saying some people don't play Pokemon for those reasons, and I truly believe that some people should give the game a chance to release before they truly judge any aspect of it. I respect the opinions of others, but I think some people get carried away with judging some of these games before launch based on speculation and rumors. That's all.

Re: Game Freak Isn't Reusing 3DS Models In Pokémon Sword and Shield

dleec8

"The first game in the entire series, the first product in the entire franchise, which was released twenty three years ago on the Game Boy (with a whopping 8KB of RAM and a 4MHz CPU), didn't look very impressive graphically. What's your point?"

You asked me what my point was.

My point was that someone said that a major reason they enjoy the game was because of the graphics.

I said that I enjoyed the first game, and others in the series, even though graphics were not a strong point. So I was adding a counter point to the argument.

Then you stated that the Gameboy was not capable of rendering impressive graphics, which reinforced what I already said about not enjoying the game for its graphics.

I stated my point. What is yours? I didn't say that people can't hate on Pokemon because they think the graphics suck. My point was that I enjoyed Pokemon even though the graphics suck, and some of the people hating on Sword and Shield because they think the animations and graphics may suck should at least give the game a chance to release first before they crucify it on Nintendolife.

Re: Game Freak Isn't Reusing 3DS Models In Pokémon Sword and Shield

dleec8

@nintendoknife Go back and look at who my comment was a reply to. I was replying to a person who stated that the animations, graphics, and the ability to complete a pokedex, were major reasons why people enjoy pokemon games. My comment was simply addressing the fact that me and other players do not directly enjoy pokemon for any of those reasons. The reasons I enjoyed/enjoy pokemon were explained in my comment.

Re: Game Freak Isn't Reusing 3DS Models In Pokémon Sword and Shield

dleec8

@Gzeus88 Believe it or not, many people played Pokemon games because they were fun to play. Simple as that. When I became addicted to Pokemon Red in the 5th grade in 1998, there were no battle animations beyond the Pokemon sprites shaking forward and backwards, the graphics were comparable to a NES game, and I never completed my Pokedex. Instead, I became drawn into a well crafted world where I could imagine people living with these fantastical Pokemon by their side. I became obsessed with putting together a perfectly balanced team of Pokemon to challenge the Elite 4, and then to use against my friends in link battles. I even became attached to my Pokemon because I had spent so much time training them and battling with them. I continued playing Pokemon through Gold and Ruby, then played again most recently with Ultra Sun. People enjoy games because they are fun to play, which is something none of you people complaining about the unreleased Sword and Shield can judge BECAUSE THE GAME IS NOT EVEN OUT YET. The fact that so many people jump onto bandwagons to hate on games that aren't even released yet prove that too many people have too much time on their hands. Whether or not the game is fun will determine it's popularity with players.

Re: A Sequel To Pokémon Snap Won't Happen Unless There's A "Very Unique Twist"

dleec8

Here's the twist:

Dangerous ghost Pokemon and the angry spirit of Cubone's mother will only appear when the camera is held up and they attack and kill the player unless we take photos of them. Bonus points for taking photos of creepy scenes were various Pokemon died tragic deaths. This twist in no way bares any resemblance to any other camera/photo mechanic related horror games that may or may not have appeared on the Wii U. Please send me my check in the mail, Game Freak.

Re: NBA 2K19 Newcomers Outraged By In-Game Video Advertisments

dleec8

The fake outrage over these "in-game advertisements" seems to mainly be created from those who have never played NBA 2k. These "in game advertisements" are not even advertisements - they are the studio show that 2k produces where their host interviews actual NBA players, 2k players, developers, sports commentators, and other relevant NBA personalities. These videos only play while the game is LOADING, so the developers stuck them in there as entertainment while the player has nothing else to do. The studio show is sponsored, so yes there is some advertising going on but not any more than you would see in any other straight up studio show.

I am beginning to notice more and more that whenever one of these outrage articles comes out, the majority of people who seem to be outraged are people who have never played the game itself that the outrage is supposed to be about. The same thing happened in MK11 where the people who seemed most outraged about the fact that cosmetics were locked behind a somewhat random loot system were people who admitted they had not even played the game. Too many people offering up what I consider to be worthless opinions on topics they themselves have no experience in are the ones making the most noise in these articles.

Re: Review: Mortal Kombat 11 - A Satisfying Dose Of Comic Hyper-Violence Despite Loot Balance Issues

dleec8

@Baart In my experience, in real life, people like you are losers. They have no real job, no job prospects, never earned a college degree, have no girlfriend or wife, have no kids, have no real friends, and they live sad, lonely lives. Because they are so sad and lonely, they turn to things like politics to make them feel special. After all, attacking others over politics takes no real work to do. Anybody can wake up and start spreading negativity into the world to make themselves feel special. It takes real work to wake up and tell yourself you're gonna better yourself. It takes real work to get up and say you're gonna make a positive difference in the world, not spread more negativity. It takes real work to better yourself both physically and mentally, not to spend your time focusing on negative, identity politics, that don't improve you in one single way. I know this all rings a bell to you, because this is who you are. Truly successful and happy people are too busy living their lives and accomplishing positive goals for themselves to spend even one second applying politics to a cheesy fighting game about ninjas ripping each other's spines out and movie stars punching gods in the family jewels. You can keep your clown nose on your face and keep acting like the miserable clown you are, or you can make a decision to actually better your life so you feel happy enough to move on from politicizing video games on a Nintendo fan site. I would say I have hope for you, but then again, I don't. The fact that you even felt the need to come on to Nintendolife to randomly claim that MK11 was contributing to "islamisation" says more about you then I ever could, you clown.

Re: Review: Mortal Kombat 11 - A Satisfying Dose Of Comic Hyper-Violence Despite Loot Balance Issues

dleec8

@Baart There's nothing more pathetic than someone politicizing a video game. Either you've got some anger problems that you are directing towards a video game, or you lead a very boring life where you need to busy yourself by coming up with imaginary political critiques about cheesy fighting games. Either way, you would benefit by finding something better to do with your life.

Re: Review: Mortal Kombat 11 - A Satisfying Dose Of Comic Hyper-Violence Despite Loot Balance Issues

dleec8

@JayJ As someone who owns the game, take it from me, the whole microtransaction controversy over this game is entirely overblown. Everything in this game can be earned through regular game play, and the only things that can be bought with real money are entirely cosmetic items that don't affect the actually fighting gameplay itself. People complained about the randomized nature of the unlockables, but the fact remains that these unlockables are for entirely cosmetic items that don't affect gameplay at all. If you like fighting games, then buy this game, as the gameplay is superb. If you primarily buy fighting games to simply unlock costumes and victory screens, etc., then maybe you won't like that unlocking these items is randomized. That's pretty much what it comes down to. It's an awesome fighting game, and if that's what you care about, then it would be a solid purchase.

Re: Review: Mortal Kombat 11 - A Satisfying Dose Of Comic Hyper-Violence Despite Loot Balance Issues

dleec8

@AndreaF96 The vast majority of individuals who complain about "sjw" or games getting too "woke" are either kids/teenagers who are too young and inexperienced in life to truly know the context of what they think they are speaking about, or are adults who are usually losers that complain about these things to mask the insecurity they feel over their inadequate lives. It's best to just leave them alone.

Re: Bethesda Confirms Wolfenstein: Youngblood Will Include A Download Code Instead Of A Game Card

dleec8

@NotTelevision While I agree with most of what you are saying, it really is because of the consumers that Bethesda would make a decision like this. Quite literally, Bethesda knows that enough sales will be made to consumers on this all digital Switch port to justify porting the game to switch and make a profit. They made this decision because they believe that they understand their market. They also believe that printing carts would be an unprofitable decision to make, otherwise they would have spent money on creating and distributing physical media. Literally, if a business knows that consumers will bite on a product (physical media), and the sales will result in an overall profit that covers the cost of producing the media, then why wouldn't they go through with producing the media? Businesses make all of their decisions with the profit motive in mind, and profits are achieved through serving the needs of consumers. If there are not enough consumers who are willing to buy physical media, then the costs of producing that physical media will not be covered, and the company will lose money on that decision. Bethesda must believe that not enough consumers would buy the physical media for this game, otherwise common sense business strategy would say that they should sell the physical media to create additional profit.

Re: Bethesda Confirms Wolfenstein: Youngblood Will Include A Download Code Instead Of A Game Card

dleec8

@LuciferOnReddit You have to understand that if going all digital was truly "customer unfriendly", then they would not be doing it. They track the sales of physical and digital units and forecast profits, then they compare the forecasted sales to what actually happened. The truth is that digital sales have been increasing by tremendous amounts for many years, and the trend just keeps going in that direction. The costs of manufacturing the carts, paying suppliers and distributors, and holding inventory, add up to much more than many people here seem think it does. A digital copy of a game doesn't even exist until a consumer purchases it and downloads their copy. No other costs are associated with it at all. Consumers are beginning to embrace the convenience of digital games, just as they are embracing the convenience of online shopping and having items delivered to their door instead of going to physical locations to shop. The truth is, game companies know that there is a very small subset of gamers who won't buy their games if there are no physical copies, and the financial numbers say it isn't worth it to cater specifically to this small group and to just let them not buy their products then. The future is mostly all digital and that is based on consumer trends, not on "unfriendly business."

Re: Bethesda Confirms Wolfenstein: Youngblood Will Include A Download Code Instead Of A Game Card

dleec8

@WiltonRoots It's amazing how many thumbs down you have just for stating your honest opinion. I share the same opinions. I have tons of physical cases and old PS2, Gamecube, and PS1 games that are just sitting in my closet. I take them with me every time I move and find new places for them. I never play them because the limited time I have to play games I spend playing the new games that I have just bought or have not beaten yet. In a sense, they are a literal waste of space since I never do anything with them, and they do nothing to benefit my life. 80% of my Switch, Wii U, and 3DS games are digital, and I have noticed that the physical games I have are played much less than the digital ones because the inconvenience of switching out discs and carts does not compare at all to effortlessly booting up digital games. I understand that some of you may be actual collectors of physical media, and some of you may like to buy physical to resell games, but I am sure the vast majority of you are just like me: People who hold onto physical media for sentimental reasons that have nothing to do with collecting or reselling games. A digital future is one that I will happily continue to keep gaming in because I love playing games, not collecting physical media.

Re: Team Wizard Wins The Latest Splatoon 2 Splatfest

dleec8

@SmileMan64 Yes it's tough when you ink so much turf, hold the middle of the map, or get the most splats, all game, and yet somebody else on your team did just as poorly as you played great and the team gets a loss. Turf Wars are definitely a team game and sometimes the team part is lacking. I am glad someone feels my pain though it helps with the healing process lol

Re: Team Wizard Wins The Latest Splatoon 2 Splatfest

dleec8

I will always remember this as the Splatfest where I (As a member of team knight) had a game with 13 kills, 2 assists, 1 death, used my armor special 5 times, inked the most turf at 1162, and my team still managed to lose the game by .4 percent. I was literally unstoppable an entire game, inking up the map wherever I went and splatting all enemies in front of me and my team somehow still didn't do enough on the side for us to win. And it was a 10x battle on top of it 😔 Still had a blast though and finished up with 9 wins versus 8 losses.

Re: Talking Point: Could Nintendo Ditch Physical Media With A 'Switch Lite?'

dleec8

@madmatt213 Also it's important to remember that Microsoft sells every Xbox console at a loss. Microsoft actually incurrs more expenses per console then they collect in revenue. So driving down the per unit cost would be a wise move on their part. Nintendo famously sells every console at a profit, so any redesign on their part has to be to either attract gamers who are more price sensitive, or to drive more sales from those Nintendo fans who are tempted to purchase multiple consoles when they are redesigned.

Re: N64 Classics Turok And Turok 2 Are Headed To Nintendo Switch

dleec8

I remember playing Turok 2 over at a friend's house in the late 90s, shortly after its release, and I was begging him to use the nuke weapon. He said he wasn't allowed to because he used it before and his parents got mad because the loud explosion sound of the nuke almost ruined the sound system of the big-screen tv that they had. After pressuring him for another few minutes, he used the weapon with the volume turned up, and the sound system crackled and and sounded distorted. His parents rushed in and were very angry about it all. We didn't get to play that game again.

Re: Nintendo Allegedly Cancelled Localisation Of Mother 3 Due To Its Controversial Aspects

dleec8

@impurekind Nintendo gambled wrongly with the MK 1 release, as evidenced by the fact that they reversed course and allowed blood in the second version of the game on the SNES. But as a kiddie-centered company, they did what they thought was necessary at the time to protect their brand. Like I said before, I have never played Mother 3, and had no idea of the actual plot points in the game that Nintendo might be worried about. But once again, it isn't cowardice that drives Nintendo's decision making, it is corporate branding and marketing suits who believe that Mother 3 won't reflect Nintendo's brand in the West. I would happily play Mother 3 if released, but I won't be losing any sleep over it if it never comes over.

Re: Nintendo Allegedly Cancelled Localisation Of Mother 3 Due To Its Controversial Aspects

dleec8

@impurekind But you are overreacting. As evidenced by you taking the decisions of a Japanese video game company not localizing one of their games overseas as an opportunity to launch a tirade against PC culture and people being easily offended. Yet here you are, posting multiple comments featuring your outrage that Nintendo hasn't localised their game due to "ignorant" people and "PC/Outrage culture." If you like Mother 3, then I am happy you enjoyed the game. But nobody cares that it was an apparently life changing game for you to the point that you need to post a dozen comments about how the game is a work of art that changed your life and will heal the wounds of society. You revealed your emotional immaturity when you linked the non-localization of this game to "PC" culture, as if "PC" culture is some type of cultural shift that is preventing you from living your best life. You already got to play the pirated game and enjoy it, did you not? So you already played the game and enjoyed it, but you apparently feel the need to rant about outrage society and post a dozen comments on how everyone else needs to play the game too and how other people have ruined the game's chance for localization. The thing is, it isn't gamers that Nintendo is worried about, but non-gamer parents who would cry foul when they see their little children playing games with content they don't want their kids seeing. Your argument is with those parents, but more specifically, with Nintendo itself. If you want to rant, then direct your rant at the proper sources. Just as you cited in your example with MK, Nintendo based that decision off of parents not wanting little Johnny playing a game where he could rip someone's spine and head out of their body as a fatality. These are corporate decisions based on parents and children, not "outrage society" as you presumptiously cite in your post. Nobody cares that you feel offended that Nintendo hasn't released Mother 3.

Re: Nintendo Allegedly Cancelled Localisation Of Mother 3 Due To Its Controversial Aspects

dleec8

@impurekind Do you know what sarcasm is? I've never played the game before nor read the plot. I was making a sarcastic and completely fictional comment about the first random thing that popped into my head that could be considered as being "controversial" in a game. I was making a joke about something offensive in a game, and look who became easily offended? You did. I find the ones who scream the most about "PC Culture" are the ones who are the most easily offended in society. You spend so much time worrying about what other people find distasteful or offensive that you don't see how easily offended and fragile you seem to others. Nintendo is a corporation that is in the business of making a profit, and all of their decisions have to do with maintaining that ability to generate that profit. If the company decides that they don't want to publish a game in a region of the world because they think that fans in that region won't understand the more "controversial" plots points or content in that game, then that is their decision. Remember that super extra mature gamers who can handle any video game story with super mature and strong minds like you are not the fans that they are necessarily worried about when they make decisions like this. They are worried about, quite literally, the little kids who will be playing their games. Your fake anger and rage should be directed at Nintendo, not the vague "PC" boogeyman who is scaring you from your closet. Stop with the fake outrage over a video game not being released and grow up. I am a huge Earthbound series fan by the way and would love to play the game, but the decision to localize is up to Nintendo. Individuals like you who lash out at society because it has become "PC" are the ones who seem the most easily offended in it. Funny how that works.
