@Xelha To each his/her own. But I def stand by my bonkers comment for sure now! That said, Quistis is the hottest character in the series....so thats something.
or play Paladins for free and have less polished but more interesting gameplay. (also there is NO Hero in Overwatch that can match Fernando's sexiness)
@Dman10 I still think these games look wonderful. The sheer care they put into using simple tools to craft the geometry and architecture is really commendable, to this day!
@Obito_Sigma I actually prefer the original Doom, mostly because I preferred the claustrophobic corridors to the more open and mazelike Doom II. Doom II also adds some enemies that are absolute annoyances at best, and maddening at worst. (Arch-Vile....such a fitting name)
@EasyDaRon Its an 8, because it was a 10 in the early 90s, its as simple as: this game is just as fun today, as it was then, even without the nostalgia glasses
I have played every port of Doom, and the PC(as well as the source ports), 32x (I KNOW) and Ps1 versions the most extensively. These ports are up there with the best of the console ports. Nit Picks are VALID but should NOT scare fans (or soon to be fans) of the original games away. They look great, play smooth, and have just enough QoL additions that they truly stand up as fun. Now lets jump on the MAKER craze and get us a drag and drop WAD editor and blow this thing UP.
@Earl_Grey Oh heck yes I do! I remember beign in AWE of what I was seeing! Sure, they aren't cutting edge now, but I still feel like the charm of how the levels manage to feel immersive with such simple geometry is a testament to the Metal and Mountain Dew fueled manner they were created with.
@Earl_Grey The look of these games is one of the big things I love about them. Everything is a blood soaked puzzle box, with Doom guy inside. It makes poking around for secrets far more fun that in Doom 2016 with so much detail that nothing stands out as a clue.
trying to buy them on the website eshop to have dled for when I get home....the page however shows for a moment then turns up blank. anyone else see this?
YEAH! Screw Nintendo for giving us more options yet removing nothing! The nerve of them to not-in-any-way disturb my full sized switch game playing! How DARE they make an affordable system that I can buy my wife/kids to play online games like MHGENU with me!!!!! #boycottNintendo #JustBuyAGDRegularSwitch Seriously, how does adding this SKU that doesn't dock...change ANYTHING about the current Switch experience? WHY IS EVERYONE SO ANGRY?
if we aren't getting SNES games, how about some of the many MANY awesome NES games instead of the absolute worst ones we've been getting? Honestly, I am convinced Nintendo is trolling us. My predictions for aug? Taboo, Where's Waldo, and M.U.S.C.L.E.
no disrespect taken at all, I just figured you would have a more objective view, being a reviewer. How do you justify the game being "bad" objectively (as opposed to subjectively)?
