That's cool, but a bit awkward, no? Plus, notice the lack of a "duck" function.
I wonder what happens if you try and play the bit from Good Vibrations? You get a British lady trying to find her long lost Irish love in the middle of the ocean.
Did you even play the VC version? Because if so, I'm rather intrigued as to why you didn't mention the awful controls on the classic controller? Since that's the main downfall of this game, I feel inclined to say that this is just a review of the N64 original.
I'm glad that everyone is finally seeing some good in Bplus' work, and I hope that it can live up to this small-scale-hype I've been looking forward to this since I got myself some details on it a couple of weeks ago, and the trailer only makes it seem better as well. Hopefully, Chicken Brutus is right though, and we won't have to wait long to give it a go.
@Metakirbyknight: Agreed - the music is really catchy, and I love it. If you're interested, "Kubi's Song" is available as part of the Bplus Soundtrack part 4 on the Bplus forums, and I love it.
It's terrible to see games such as WarioWare Snapped! and the Photo Clock better Mighty Flip Champs like this, although that's probably because due to the hype, most people that wanted it would've bought it last week.
Here in the UK, things are a bit better, with PiCOPiCT doing particularly well in comparison to you guys. Here's what the chart was like the last time I checked.
AWESOME... although I presume this means that I need to get it straight away at 11pm, right? That's a bit of a pain in the arse, since I don't like to buy Wii Points until I know that I definitely need them, and this week, I'm particularly short o' cash. Darn.
EDIT: Oh, and here's the sample song you can download from the website. It sounds ace, and might well be one of the things that sets itself apart from LostWinds.
On a slightly related topic, I wish my screen wasn't 1280x800. 1280x720 would be much better, since I won't get borders when viewing widescreen movies and whatnot. Anyways, nice wallpaper. I got the, erm, Mario Kart one
EDIT: One problem I have with this wallpaper is that the stuff on the bottom gets half covered up by my start bar. I wish people would think of this when creating wallpapers.
@brandonbwii: Congratulations at being first; I imagine it's your first and only achievement in life. Opportunities like yours don't come around very often; cling to it while you can! =)
Somewhere, Wiiloveit is loving this. If only 'twas real...
Also: you guys need to improve on your headings, especially when compared to the Kokatu one: Will Team Ninja Take The Slutty Route With Samus? If only...
Sounds a little like Lost Levels. I hope Galaxy 2 is just as challenging. I hope it isn't, just as long as there is some challenge in there. What I liked about the original was that it was pure fun and enjoyment, so having it like Lost Levels will take that away and change it into interplanetary frustration.
I used to love sending in my stuff with the hope that one day others would recieve my goodies... however I stopped recieving new things months ago, so I haven't seen the need to play every day like I used to do. Hmm... I suppose I'll try and get back into the habit for these final 31 days... although at least we'll apparantly still recieve new stuff afterwards!
I love this game, it's just like a 2D rubiks cube puzzler! The review didn't really do it justice, though. I would prefer it if the game had some extra features though, rather than just the standard mode, however addictive it may be.
Iit all depends on the sales of the new Wii game, so I can't say anything derivative. That's a no, then. Apparantly in the first week, it only got 1000 sales across America :S Either way, once my exams are over and I've got a bit more time and money to spend on games, I am DEFINITELY going to be getting this game.
I saw this the other day, and must say that it looks absolutely fantastic. If the co-op was online, then I can see this being amazing. In the meantime, I'll just settle for "pretty darned brilliant".
Oh, and Capcom really need to make this.
No, wait - imagine if they announced this as their next big game at E3 this week?
part Left 4 Dead and part House of the Dead: Overkill, The Grinder is an online FPS with an emphasis on co-op I didn't read anything after that: I just know that this is gonna be awesome.
Further proof that the US offers the worst gifts. And that Europe gets the worst prices. To get this handheld, you will need to spend a LOT of money. Here's how the points system works...
Now, a full priced game at £35 / £40 (because no games cost £33) will get you 250 stars. That means that you need to purchase 120 full priced games, equivalent to spending £4200-£4800 ($7647.84 USD).
To many of you, that may seem fair, since you are getting a mega snazzy DS lite - but when you consider that there aren't even anywhere near that many Wii games that will can be registered on the Club Nintendo 'site, you'll have to get LOTS of Nintendo games from the Wii and DS, as well as LOTS of games from the Wii Shop Channel (not forgetting the amount of surveys you have to fill out in total). I mean, come on - its ridiculous!
£2400 for a Zelda statue? I think not! You might as well spend the £220 this guy is selling it for on ebay.
Everything on the store is overpriced, with customers having to buy sixteen full priced Wii games to even get a free 1000 Nintendo Points card. For shame, Nintendo.
For me Punch-Out!! is ace, at least in single player (haven't had chance to try multiplayer yet). From the outstanding visuals to the great controls (which I think are absolutely fine - I experienced no problems - although I don't have a BB), and the challenges for more experienced players could make this last ages whilst never getting old. Although Nintendo could've relived a different franchise other than PO, they did a damn good job here. The one thing that I would change about this game though is that although I know that it would be tricky to implement an online mode, it's a shame that NLG didn't include it.
Wiiloveit's predictions were 90% correct. Bearing in mind that I only made those predictions to you personally over Google Talk, and not publicly visible, methinks you've just confused everyone who reads your message, but not your mind, there.
Anyways, I thought I'd try Pop Superstar for lulz. As soon as I heard the menu music (an awful cover of Avril Lavigne's girlfriend), I regretted my purchase already. Yet to try the game though, since the new TF2 update is more interesting than any of these for me, I'm afraid.
The thing is that with an expensive game like Plattchen, you can't blame people for being turned off by bad reviews. Don't forget that the game is only 1000 points in NA, which isn't a lot at all when compared to Europe - equal to €7.16 or £6.32 - not bad when you consider Nintendo Points cost £10 per 1000 in stores.
What annoys me is that many people seem to be biased against Bplus after not playing their games, but simply by reading their reviews. Sure, a bunch of people tried Niki due to the price and the good review or two, but that still doesn't give you the right to diss Plattchen without playing it.
Anyways, everyone here has probably seen more thoughts like this from me, and most people that have tried (and spent a good amount of time with) Plattchen will say that it's a really good game.
Meanwhile, I myself am looking forward to this game here, alongside Bit Boy.
@Calculon: whilst I see no point in arguing with you about Bplus themselves, I think it should be noted that it is a parody of the images seen at sh*tbrix.com, not just mindless swearing, although I must also admit that I was slightly startled by it at first
Nice! At least it's an improvement on Aerosmith. I can't see Van Halen selling half as much as this one will, though, and I think they should slow down a bit with the franchise, because they're only making it become uninteresting at a faster rate than ever before.

Re: EU Club Nintendo Gets Giratina DS Lite
Further proof that the US offers the worst gifts.
And that Europe gets the worst prices.
To get this handheld, you will need to spend a LOT of money. Here's how the points system works...
Registration hardware: Wii console = 1000 Stars, Nintendo DS = 500 Stars
Registration software: Price < £ 19 (€ 29) = 100 Stars, Price £ 19-33 (€ 29-49) = 200 Stars, Price > £ 33 (€ 49) = 250 Stars (Recommended retail price)
Now, a full priced game at £35 / £40 (because no games cost £33) will get you 250 stars. That means that you need to purchase 120 full priced games, equivalent to spending £4200-£4800 ($7647.84 USD).
