I'm just going to say exactly what I said on the Cocoto Platform Jumper page a moment ago, since it applies in exactly the same way: Right then: this has been rated on every different board now (USK/OFLC/ESRB/PEGI) - so it could spring on us at any moment. I'm going to hope that it is better than everyone is currently assuming, although deep down inside, I know that that isn't going to be true
Right then: this has been rated on every different board now (USK/OFLC/ESRB/PEGI) - so it could spring on us at any moment. I'm going to hope that it is better than everyone is currently assuming, although deep down inside, I know that that isn't going to be true
I seem to recall seeing this on the PEGI rating list at one point, but on a second glance, it doesn't appear to be there. So the real question is this: am I going crazy? Thoughts and opinions appreciated
@Bahamut_ZERO: Little Big Planet was announced for PSP the other day, and whilst I would normally prefer the home console version, I always prefer 2D platformers on handhelds.
I don't have a PSP, and I don't want a PSP. Except maybe for playing my classic PSone games on the move. And maybe LittleBigPlanet. And... Loco Roco, of course. And anyway - I don't like the design - in particular the analogue stick, and I'm gonna be quite alright with my DSi soon enough anyway.
The "enjoyment" and "other" ratings are out of five, as is explained here.
Oh - and my comment was simply pointing out why the reviewer found it so hard to play through PLATTCHEN - he can't even pat his head and rub his stomach at the same time, which really doesn't help.
@Sycoraxic98: I wouldn't go guessing the score yet (unless Corbie's reviewing ), but I agree with what you said about Bplus's things. I'm just kinda angry that you beat me to ranting at Toddr You can't base your entire judgement on one review, Toddr.
Since Hudson have a knack for releasing games early, and Europe doesn't yet have a game scheduled for March, I'm expecting this a little early. Here's hoping!
Gamecentral had the great idea that third party PSone games might make their way to the Wii. Hell - Microsoft did it with N64's Banjo (and I know that that's because they owned Rare), so there could be a chance!
Excellent news I'm sure. I'm not too bothered about any of the titles, but I'm sure that crystal defenders and FFIV will keep many people happy, as well as help them keep faith in the WiiWare service.
Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear oh dear. The chances of this being good are... slim.
I myself can't wait for Pirates vs Ninjas Dodgeball though, and I loved Zack & Wiki, so it's not the pirates that put me off - it's the gameplay. And devs.
I was actually using sarcasm to be funny and brighten someones day with a good laugh. Yeah, that was hilarious.
Dowloaded Snowboard Riot, but I'm steering clear of Pong Toss. I haven't had much chance to revel in Riot's different modes yet, but the controls are really good and it's a lot less frustrating than I found SSX Blur to be, with the emphasis taken away from performing tricks being a good move by Hudson in my opinion. I'll be trying out the online modes later, but I can't see it lasting too long on my Wii Menu with only four different tracks We shall see though...
Oh - and yay! Up yours, World of Goo - WE GOT PONG TOSS NOW! Now I can find out what's been keeping all you American's on your Wii's since last Summer. </sarcasm>
@linktothefuture: only cheats use turbo pads... cheat!
@Muzer: It's most likely because many were complaining about the tiny controller and awkward Z button positioning on the current pad. Also, there is a slight possibility that Dreamcast games could be released. Obviously they are very big, but when compressed, they might just manage it. Okay, so it's unlikely, but Nintendo have still got a storage solution that they'll be announcing soon, so don't rule anything out.
Presumably, those games will be released sooner rather than later since it was Nintendo that announced them (and they'd never mention WiiWare games too far ahead - usually), but Bit.Trip was PEGI rated the other day, so we could get it tonight!
Can't wait for more info, but does anyone else think that "what's mean 247" may just be a bit of bad Engrish, rather than a riddle?
@Prosody: maybe, but it could easily be an attempt from Sega to widen the casual demographics on other consoles - although I suppose this is unlikely. Maybe it's multiformat?
I'm certainly gonna give this a go, and I want to see just how addictive the simple concept can be. People so far seem to enjoy it, so it can't be that bad.
@dogsoldier: I still can't complete level nine either, so it's good that you can play levels past that online - otherwise, I'd have never seen all the levels without reverting to easy!
@Kirk: Try not to post separately three times in future, please. There's a little edit button above comments you've written if you really need to say something else straight away.
Oh - and looking forward to going up against all of you Americans soon!
@Terranigma: I'll try selling it on PlayTrade and see if anyone's interested, but if I don't get any buyers, I'd still say that £75 for my lite isn't that bad - although after thinking about it, I couldn't definitely do better if I sold my Guitar Hero On Tour games rather than trade them in. Thanks for that idea
Latest DSi offers Play.com: Free accessory pack containing a case, USB car charger (presumably meaning I can charge it whilst I'm on the computer), USB data cable, 2X stylus and a cleaning cloth
Nice one, guys - it's a lot easier to judge whether or not I should be buying a certain game now - and the new game profiles make the interface a lot nicer. How long did it take you to do all this work though? Also: sad to see the user ratings go, but I can't wait for their return.
Great to see that you recognised this as the best Sonic game out of the 3 2D Mega Drive platformers. This one was one of my childhood gaming highlights, and is still a gaming highlight for me now.
This is the greatest 2D platformer of all time IMO, although I felt that the controls were lacking in this VC version. Either way, this game well deserves a 10/10.
Whatever it is, it will probably be amazing. Everyone seems to want a new Bonk, so that could be a possibility. I myself would love a new Chew Man Fu. Make it happen, Hudson!
Apparantly, Game is offering the DSi for £75 (half price) when you trade in another console/handheld, including DS lites! Add both my Guitar Hero's to that, and I've got me a DSi for under £50! F*** YEAH!!
@Bahamut ZERO: most of the people that work on the 'site are listed here, although there's still a few reviewers they haven't mentioned yet. Oh, and I find that it's actually quicker to type VCR than WWW for some reason. Maybe my left hand just isn't that fast on its own
@Tootie_kicks: "But considering this is $100 more than a DS Lite, and the same price as a Xbox 360 Arcade, it's still completely crap." Here, it's £20 more than an arcade
I suppose that the 50% difference is a bit much - but we've not other option and people are going to buy it anyway, so what's the point in complaining? If it was £130 or £140 though, that would seem much more reasonable, although obviously Nintendo want to make sure that there is still a good difference between the DSi and the DS lite's pricing to ensure that both models still sell.
FOR SALE One DS lite (black) with rumble pak, Guitar Hero On Tour (with Guitar Grip Controller) and Guitar Hero On Tour Decades. (quietly sobs to self)
@Anthony: Thanks for that, and I can't wait to see what you've got in store!
@JEPEREZ4EVR: I seem to recall Nintendo hinting about wanting people to enjoy some of their older games, but this may have just been a reference to their NEW PLAY CONTROL! games.
@Kirk (69): that is GENIUS! Tilt controls seemed like a must when Nintendo announced this console (even though they wouldn't be incorporated into standard DS games), and when there was no sign of it, people were a bit confused. You however, have just come up with the perfect solution, although obviously it may be slightly tricky to incorporate this feature due to shakiness etc.
@Dogsoldier: £13? Crikey! You need to challenge those guys to a duel, or get your beam katana on them ADDED: I just got fish and chips and it didn't even cost half of what you said. Get BBC's Watchdog onto them!

Re: USA WiiWare Update: Onslaught
It's the law to hate level nine. If you can't do it - you're normal. If you claim that you can do it - you've clearly lost your mind
