@Starwolf: A couple of those games have already been PEGI rated, so it would seem daft not to release them here now after spending the money on rating it. I can't remember the PEGI list off by heart, but Groovin' Blocks and Sandy Beach definitely came to mind.
Why does Nintendo hate us so? 0.5 games per week, and not even a good one at that (sorry for being prejudiced, but look who the developer is). Just when I thought I'd got Nintendo wrong (after the Sd update), they go and do this.
@KS8: I was just about to say the same thing.
Next update: Bit.Tip BEAT and New Adventure Island?
I can see this being a pretty cool game, but whether or not it'll make for some compulsive, Guitar Hero style rhythm action games is anyone's guess. I personally hate remixes (well, a lot of the time at least) and so the thought of scratchin' to some records myself almost makes me cringe, so I can't see myself falling in love with the game.
Lookin' good - and the last time I tried a demo (Big Bang Mini), I ended up craving the full game like mad. Here's hoping that this download will make its way to the UK soon...
Well, I should probably get around to trying Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles My Life As A King, first. Some DSi FFCC titles would also be nice aswell.
@Sean Aaron: You're not the only person who've noticed that, and I've also taken advantage of the odd pricing, especially considering the unusually high prices on other 'sites. ADDED After checking, it appears that I hadn't actually purchased it (how strange), and the price has since doubled (how annoying).
Also: after reading above comments RE: bigger games, could this mean that we can finally get our hands on Braid? If so, I need an announcement within the next week before I get it on Steam
Well, that's nice. Very nice, in fact. I wasn't expecting Moving Memo to be released so soon, and if we get these games (amongst others, of course) at the European launch, that will be excellent.
I'm still most excited about the upcoming Pop Plus Solo, and the Art Style game where you have to create cubes, though.
Oh, and one more good thing: at last! Some REAL confirmation that we'll get DSiWare on launch day, unlike Japan.
@Stuffgamer1: Maybe they'll expand with you? I dunno :S If you have that many games in the first place though, you need to watch your wallet. As for the colour scheme, what if they let us choose (like on the DS)?
@Stuffgamer1: I can see why some people will like the black colour scheme, but I just don't think it feels right. It'll probably grow on me in time, but part of me thinks it might have been better if Nintendo just included everything on the same menu, but maybe had a little "SD" icon in the corner of games on your memory card.
I'm so happy right now that I retract all my previous statements about mailing my own human waste to Nintendo. Now that's happy.
All we need now is SD games playable immediately from the start screen (or at the least, a better colour scheme on the SD menu), and Wii game save data copied to the SD card, as one or two people above already said.
Otherwise, this update is brilliant, and I can only praise Nintendo for doing what they have done for us.
I'm so happy now! First the SD update from Nintendo, and now I see this! Thanks guys! I never normally win things that need skill! Will you guys be contacting me soon about the T-Shirt? I can't wait! ADDED: Okay, thanks for contacting me!
How many people are honestly going to buy Ganbaru Watashi no Osaifu Ouendan? Out of the titles listed though, I'm only really interested in the clock and the sphere puzzler, but I hardly know anything about the latter yet, so I may change my mind in the future. (PS: Only ten days until the DSi launch here!)
Although I doubt Tetris will be arriving any time soon (what with Tetris DS and all), I absolutely can't wait for Super Mario Land, and all this will be a good distraction from the dross lined up for DSiWare.
Now, here's a talking point: will GBA games ever be released (due to the cart omission this time), and how much will all these games cost? I'd like to think 200 points for GB; 500 for GBC and 800 for GBA, but who knows? Nintendo might even choose to give us TG, NES, SNES, Mega Drive and other home consoles, yet! Or, even better - Game & Watch titles! Oh, I'm so happy.
Oh - and think about how good the games will look on the super brightness setting! I'm SO DAMN EXCITED NOW!!!
Not too bothered about DD, but Water Warfare looks interesting, even if the focus on the playground landscapes seem a bit childish. Either way, if this does have some proper versus multiplayer (as WWW said, the mode that was missing from Onslaught), and another good bit of Engrish to make us all chuckle (that's why you're still a kid) then it will be a must buy. Oh, and MM coming soon as well - Hudson are just too kind
And we've still got Adventure Island and Bonk to look forward to (as if we need confimation for the latter).
@Terranigma: even though there isn't too much going on there now, there will be some new competition details launching soon, alongside a prize of a certain little touch screen handheld device.
If it is true, I honestly can't wait at all to play Super Mario Land with a Wii Channel style pause system - that idea made Virtual Console games so much nicer to play.
Once Nintendo explained how the controls were going to work, it was clear that it would be one of the worst games to control on the Wii, and I was right.
It sounds fairly good, but if it's just a cheap, simple little mobile phone port, it will likely get shot down by critics immidiately.
On another note though (repost from the Pop Superstar article), the PEGI rating has now been removed from the 'site, so goodness knows when we'll be expecting it now.
Also: where did you guys get the DSi font from, WWW? I really like it
Although you can never get enough Bomberman, the latest DS game (as well as the two versions already on the Wii Shop) will suit me fine, thanks. Not a bit update though.
I was going to give it a shot, but there were a few too many games out last Friday (MadWorld, Henry Hatsworth, GTA Chinatown Wars). I'll look out for a cheap copy in future though!
@Terranigma: I'm very busy at the moment with a lot of things, and I'll do another one when I have some more spare time, because I had a lot of interest in the last one before I ended up locked out of my house
@joeshabadoo: We've got a similar offer, allowing us to get a DSi for half price, here in the UK, but your offer is way better. Then again, we're getting used to ending up with the worse deals here now.
As soon as I saw this headline I thought "finally - now NA users can give this great puzzler a go as well". And then when I reached the comments I thought "I wonder how long it will take before Calculon starts bashing it again", and whilst it wasn't quite "bashing", as I scrolled the page down slightly, there he was. Good ol' Calculon.
Hey, what with the upcoming storage "solution" announcement from Nintendo, maybe they could make something that'll allow this service to go ahead. I can't see why this could go wrong, but what would be ideal would be a free version of Hulu for NA Wii owners, and versions of BBC iPlayer, itvPlayer and the like for us here in the UK as channels. Movies are a good idea, though, and I'd like to see how it would work.
@Bensei: my guess is that it will last for a good few months, or maybe around a year, especially with all the demand Nintendo are going to be having for the console.
WOW! Rising Star are doing great at bringing these foreign games to the western world, even though the only game I'm interested from here is Animal Kororo. The online level creation for the first game sounds pretty cool as well.
I wonder if they'll bring out another XG Blast! style game though? That game was pretty good, but understocked and virtually unheard of.
I'd like to give it a go, but I still can't see myself buying it until after I've had a good play (and of course, once it gets released over here). It's a shame that there isn't an online mode as well.
@Bahamut ZERO: Okay then, care to name a 9/10 worthy DSiWare launch game? The only game I can think of with a chance of this achievement is Pop Plus, but even then, that may not be released until after launch.
Hmm... it's probably not going to be called DSiWareWorld.com or DSiWare-World.com, since neither of those domains appear to be registered yet, and I doubt you'd talk about an upcoming site without registering a domain yet.
The first thing I'll download is the launch title that gets a 9/10. If there is one, that is
I think this is great though, and if they advertised the points alongside the DSi, some people may begin to forgive the high price point. One of the best things about this though, is that it will certainly increase awareness of the DSi shop and how simple it is to use, especially since Nintendo didn't try anything like this with the Wii's shop channel (thus ensuring that awareness of the channel wasn't half as high as Nintendo would have hoped).
As long as the puzzle games are the kind of game that's easy to drop in and out of and have a quick go when you feel like it, I think a few cheap puzzlers would be ace - especially if games like Panel de Pon (Puzzle League) make it over here.

Hitch-hiking game? (considers entering a really OTT sarcastic comment, then decides otherwise). Nah.

Where is the latest chart? I thought I'd have a little gander and see how Bit.Trip was selling, but the new chart hasn't been posted yet. How strange.

Oh, and one question: is David Hasselhoff actually in this game?
Re: Nintendo's GDC '09 Keynote At-A-Glance
Rock 'n' roll Climber looks more like a tech demo, and not a bad one, at that. But as a single game, I don't think it'll go down too well.

Re: Nintendo confirms "play from SD" feature
Oh. My. God. I think I'm gonna cry. I LOVE YOU NINTENDO!
Now I just need to get me an SDHC card.
If cards can now go up to 32GB - and offer more powerful SDHC functionality - Netflix could work on the Wii easily!
LOVE YOU EVEN MORE THAN BEFORE, NINTENDO!
