I really want to give this a go. I'm not really an RTS fan myself, but I must say that I have been enjoying Little Kings Story (which is strategy/sim), and this game is coming highly recommended from, well, everyone! Despite this however, I have told myself that I can't buy it until I play through some of my other games, since I've got several that I need to get round to playing through properly, and once I do that (and ensure that I have enough money left over from other games, such as Punch-Out!!, whilst keeping enough money for future releases - ie, Klonoa, The Conduit, Wii Sports Resort and WM+), I'll definitely be giving this a go.
Well, Iwata stopped by the house again yesterday, and we had a chat, and we're gonna skip around town wearing dresses emblazoned with the Toki Tori icon. BEAT THAT.
Nice, just listened to this on my paper route this morning once the GoNintendo podcast finished, and I thought that it was ace, and although I didn't realise it was possible, I'm now even more hyped for the game! It's great to hear the developers themselves realise that this is the game that will decided whether or not core FPS games will do well on the Wii. Can't wait!
Also, what happened to this news post? If the podcast hadn't downloaded onto my iPod from iTunes, I wouldn't have known it existed. Did it skip the front page, or did I just miss it by accident? And why the long wait for part three?
Snazzy, looking forward to hearing more about this one, as long as it's released in the UK near the same time as in America, unlike LIT was from the same devs
I agree with Objection Blaster, so it's a shame you can't alter that. Here's a question though: the screen sometimes looks a bit too mental. How do you know when it's the right time to hit a beat, since you seemed to miss a few and then get them the second time they came round.
Best interview I've read in ages, and I know that I'm definitely going to be trying out MFC when it arrives here. Quick question though: are we going to have to wait for a European release like with LIT? And when is LIT due out over here?
Mario Party 4 will NEVER be released on the VC since it's a GAMECUBE game! XD LOL! @StarDust: Way to write it off... This is probably the only Family title so far that has got me so interested. My expectations aren't too high but I doubt I'll find enough complaints to say that the 500 Points price tag isn't warranted. I'm sure it'll be better than the shallow experience of FTT.
If you like football, sorry, Soccer, you can't NOT get Real Soccer considering the value you're getting. Also: next week is the big week! The excitement......is non-existent for me. What with me being British.
I CAN'T WAIT TO GET THIS. It's not that expensive, and it's a bummin' good game, at that. No need for a review to tell me so - even though they do all seem to be saying that the game is excellent.
Also, do you mean Tombi, Ian? I remember that game (or at least... the demo), and I was pretty impressed at the time, even though I never bought the full version. Now if someone would just listen to me and remake the first three Crash Bandicoot games for the Wii or DS, I'll be happy as larry.
Good to see someone else on NL bought Plants vs. Zombies, I bought it when it was released a few days ago and it's probably my favourite PopCap game yet. I noticed you've been playing that quite a lot over the past few days!
As for SaS though, RTS isn't really my thing, but it's great that we finally have another big WiiWare title in our hands - it feels like ages ago since we last had one (even though, to be fair, we have just recieved Bit.Trip BEAT in Europe).
It doesn't look too terrible, but there's nothing that interests me this week. I'm still having "fun" with last weeks magic trick, thanks Nintendo. Surely they could have released something alongside it on the DSi as well, though?
Hmm... I suppose it wouldn't be the worst thing ever, but if they included easy and hard modes of the game, that would be fine, I suppose - although many reviewers will likely only try the easy mode to play through the game quickly, and thus won't even try the "core" side of things.
@Objection Blaster: That would be cool if you got them, but it probably won't be this big secret game.
Could it be the fabled Kid Icarus revival? F-Zero Wii? ExciteFox? Pikmin 3? Hows about all four? Okay, we know that they're all in development (crosses fingers), but if it's not one of these games then look on the bright side - that means there's FIVE big games in development!
@tkubas1: I would buy that JUST to see Rosalina with a machine gun.
THE CHEEKY F**KERS. This was my second most anticipated game of the next couple of months (behind The Conduit), and it's been due for ages. To delay it at this late stage is taking the f***ing p**s.
Looks cool IMO, and even if it doesn't look appealing to you, I'd still advise puzzle fans give it a try. Still, we haven't got it yet, so what do I know?
Oh, for effs sake! On the bright side, maybe we could end up seeing more games from other consoles in future? I know that it's not as likely since Nintendo doesn't own a big developer like this (to my knowledge), but who knows? Crash Bandicoot, plz (even if it's only a console remake, although that's straying a bit far from this topic).
Sick. And the first poster guy needs to change his avatar, since I thought he was Dazza at first. EDIT: My bad, Dazza has since changed his avatar back to the 1Up one. I need to check this site more often
Hmm... if only there was a chance of them taking everything off... or being real people, for that matter. Since this offers neither, I choose to stick two fingers up at both Nintendo and Gameloft.
I had a feeling that getting DSiWare every week might lead to a shake up in the schedules, and I was right I'll certainly be getting all the new content tomorrow to give it a whirl, especially Bit.Trip.
One great thing about having games on all three formats every week - no more "1 WiiWare game for this fortnight"! YAYS.
Tickets are pretty cheap, but its a shame that I live several hours away, and the train ticket will cost a lot more. The first event is on my Birthday though, so I'll see if I could get a special present for the Sunday event
I must say that I played this, and wasn't half as impressed I'm afraid. Sure, some of the mini games aren't that bad, but overall they're pretty damn boring (alongside the story mode). Hudson could have done better.

"only one WiiWare title"
Oh, only one for the week? What a shame.
</sarcasm>

Snazzy.

I wonder what Luc Bernard has to say about this? LUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCC. Hello? You there? You got an opinion?
Re: NSFW: Zelda, Peach and Samus Shed Clothing In The Name Of Art
NOT NAKED ENOUGH.
Re: It's My Birthday
According to Play.com, this is due to be released the day before my Birthday (20th June, HINT HINT), so that's my Birthday party sorted

Re: New Magnetis WiiWare Screenshots
This looks pretty decent, and it's great to see some innovation on the puzzle front. Still waiting for Liight, though...

Just so you know, I'm still not over that.

I remember this discussion before, and I'm saying what I said last time. I WANT A PLUSH TOY.

Re: Review: Rainbow Islands: Towering Adventure! (WiiWare)
What a dissapointment! I think I'll just buy the original instead.
Oh no you won't - well, not until it appears on the VC at least.
Re: Review: Animal Crossing Clock (DSiWare)
I'll get the Mario one for the snooze function alone.
Re: Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver officially announced
Excellent news for alla you Pokeman fans. Yay.
Re: NSFW: Fan-made Muramasa Artwork Shows Plenty of Crack
Hmm... I think the question that needs to be asked here is as follows:
Would you hit it?
My answer: HELL. YEAH.

Re: Nintendo Rejects Intellivision Lives for DSiWare
Well, that kinda shoots down the idea of extra non-Nintendo console games making a one-off appearance, although RaviC's idea is a possibility.
Re: Zelda: Spirit Tracks To Appeal To a Wider Age Group?
Hmm... I suppose it wouldn't be the worst thing ever, but if they included easy and hard modes of the game, that would be fine, I suppose - although many reviewers will likely only try the easy mode to play through the game quickly, and thus won't even try the "core" side of things.
Re: It's My Birthday: Casual Gaming Hits a New Low
Well, that's my party sorted. Helluva lot cheaper than a clown and a bouncy castle - and I can get it out every year! Genius!
Re: Modern Warfare 2 Wii-bound?
I'll definitely give this a try if it's as good as Modern Warfare 1, and I'd choose Wii remote shooting controls over PS3 / 360 any day.

Re: Round Table: Is Nintendo Neglecting the 'Hardcore Gamer'?
If this was in audio, I'd listen, but that's a LOT of writing, and since I'm a bit busy, I'll just assume everyone's right.
Re: Gun-shaped Wiimote Announced
Yes, please. Well, only if it's not got a hunking great price tag. Then it would be a bit of a waste of money, IMO.

Re: The Conduit: Special Edition At Play.com
It's not just Play that's selling this, Amazon.co.uk also appear to have the special edition.
Re: Talking Point: About "The Waggle"
The Xbox controller picture just looks terrible. Anyways: motion control FTW!
Re: Sony to Reveal Copycat Motion Controller at E3?
If they do copy the Wii, "core" gamers will likely switch to the 360, since obviously motion sensing is too "kiddy" for gore fans.

Re: New WiiWare Screenshots - Karate Phants
I want to say that now we've got something to rival XBLA's Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, but somehow, I don't think this will be quite as good.

Haha - scroo yoo Nintendo pricey peoples.
