Re: Morrison's offering DSi on the cheap

Wiiloveit

I assume that Prosody / James Newton shops at Morrisons, then?
If so, could you tell me if the games are cheap as well? I remember the sale they did last Summer where all DS games were a mere £12 (rather than £30), and I saved £28 on Guitar Hero On Tour (which I then traded in at Game for seven pounds above what I paid ). I believe that they also had all Wii games at £15, but they didn't have anything that I wanted but hadn't got yet.

So, yeah: if they're selling games cheap as well, let us know, will you James?

Re: Nintendo Download: Bubble Bobble Plus! & More WiiWare Goodies (EU)

Wiiloveit

I'll be getting Bubble Bobble Plus and Equilibrio (here's hoping they're not too difficult ).
I'm confused over the absence of New Adventure Island and Bit.Trip BEAT though. It seems ages since we got a Huson game now, and you guys have had Bit.Trip for a good few weeks. At least we know what to expect next time though, eh (cough, you hearing this Nintendo?, cough).

Re: LIT Officially Headed to Europe

Wiiloveit

Early this summer? Oh, poo. When I saw that they'd put out a press release, the first thing I thought of was that the game might be released in Europe tomorrow. Ah well...

Re: Nintendo of Europe Announces April-July WiiWare / DSiWare Lineup

Wiiloveit

@Shimigami Tidus: Meat Boy isn't even due til around Q4, anyway.

As for the list it's great to see that we're getting LIT, Bonsai Barber, Cave Story, Water Warfare and Swords and Soldiers, but some glaring omissions and the lack of first party content is alarming. At least we can mark some of the missing games (New Adventure Island, Bubble Bobble) as mistakes, but two games that I'm disappointed about not being mentioned are Eduardo the Samurai Toaster and Bit.Trip BEAT.
As for DSiWare, we'd better (and probably will) get more than that (only one Art Style game? Pfft...). If we don't get Pop Plus Solo, for example, I won't be a happy bunny.

Still, there will probably be a few late submissions that Nintendo will shoehorn in every now and then, but we can only wait and see.

Re: Sony: PSP is Better Than The DSi

Wiiloveit

@Corbie: I'll tell you what you have - too much money, that's what.

I myself hate the PSP. I can't get my head around the controls (they feel so odd), and there are hardly any games I'd want. I much prefer the DS though due to the innovative controls, and the way that the multimedia functions (eg, DSiSound) are actually a load of fun, as well as doing what they're supposed to. Nintendo FTW, IMO!

Re: Gamebridge Announces European Release of Overturn: Mecha Wars

Wiiloveit

Well done, Ricardo91, Toddr and lockelocke - you've just guaranteed that the best of the comment-ers will NEVER return at all. Good memory, though.

Anyways, I must say that I completely forgot about this, but when it's released, I'll be sure to give it a shot. Whatever happened to Robot Wars, anyway?

Re: Gameloft Announces Real Soccer 2009 for DSiWare

Wiiloveit

Finally, some details! And this sounds pretty good, especially so for DSiWare. I also like the look of the pitch from the screen - very nice and bright, and I think the camera angles look pretty nice as well. Can't wait to give this a go - no doubt it'll be a premium title, but it could be pretty damned expensive (in comparison to current pricing for games, at least).

Re: DSiWare Launch Titles in Australia (and elsewhere...?)

Wiiloveit

That totals 2100 points - dammit Nintendo! You can never be even slightly convenient, can you?

Either way, I'm glad that WarioWare and Azurio have made it, even though Pop Plus didn't - which has to be the worst part to the update.

Here's hoping the shop will be updated AT LEAST once per week from now on

Re: Welcome to the New Look Nintendo Life!

Wiiloveit

@mrPlow: I believe they call it the ancient art of wizardry - not "magic". And that was featured on all three of the sites before anyway.

@Dazza: Good thinking - if you'd have put the new site up tomorrow, people would've been too busy fretting over the fact that everything's different instead of looking at the new reviews. Will there even be any new games for Australia tomorrow anyway? I'd have thought that games would still get released on the Friday, like the rest of Europe, but I suppose that it's anyones guess really.
Also, your baby is a joke... right?

@Toddr: Yarp.

Re: Welcome to the New Look Nintendo Life!

Wiiloveit

@Corbie: I did notice it, but I thought I'd better check. Is the retro page the new space for your own Retro Rated 'site, or is it something completely different? Also: the Banjo review is also posted in the Virtual Console section, despite not being out yet on the system. Silly you.

@Chicken Brutus: Don't you work for these guys xD - anyways: try looking here.

Re: Welcome to the New Look Nintendo Life!

Wiiloveit

The one thing I don't like is the coming soon and out now lists, which take up a lot more space than before.

One question though guys: what is the exact difference between the Retro and Virtual Console sections?

Re: Welcome to the New Look Nintendo Life!

Wiiloveit

I hate this change! Why have you ruined my favourite site?

Oh, right. You already said why.
The 'site looks pretty snazzy, but it'll just take some getting used to.
RIP WiiWareWorld

One more question: what does this mean for the YouTube channels? Is WiiWareWorld officially dead?

Re: USA WiiWare Update: Bonsai Barber

Wiiloveit

@longtimegamer: KS8 knows e v e r y t h i n g !

Wow - I can't wait to give this a try! I mean, come on - a plant barber? I'm highly anticipating the UK release.

And no, that wasn't all sarcasm.

@Damien Mcfarren: NO! You've always had the same avatar as long as I remember - why did you go and change it?! Let's just hope this doesn't catch on...

Re: Bonsai Barber Coming To WiiWare This Monday

Wiiloveit

@KDR_11k: No they didn't, at one point Bplus were even looking for a price point of 2000 points due to the long length of Plattchen, but it was clear that this would put people off, so Nintendo did the next best thing and let them sell it for 1500 (in Europe at least, don't forget that it only cost 1000 in NA). The developer does have some say in pricing, but in the end, it all comes down to Nintendo's decision.

Re: Kimi to Boku to Ritai Coming To US WiiWare

Wiiloveit

Awesome, I can't wait to give this a go so that I can work out for myself what the hell I'm supposed to do

Also, has anybody heard about Fez? It's a game where you have to switch dimensions / the angle of the screen in order to progress, Super Paper Mario style. For some reason, seeing this reminded me of the game, which would be ace on WiiWare.

Re: Penguins & Friends

Wiiloveit

Let's hope that this is better than Family and Friends Party, though the puzzling doesn't look too exciting at the moment.

Also: after a quick glance at the official website, I noticed a tab entitled "requeriments". Spelling fail!
