Re: Nintendo Download: 11th September (Europe)

WYLD-WOO

My 3DS is starting to gather dust and my mighty Wii U has taken over.

Minish cup for me, I've never played it. Been enjoying playing my other GBA VC title, Fire Emblem using just my gamepad and I'll do the same with this.

Review of Teslagrad, would be good NL. I'll wait for a sale anyway, as this does seem slightly expensive.

Nice to see a Wii U demo on a game, I'm undecided whether to get.

I've so many memories of playing BOMERMAN with friends growing up. BOMERMAN was best served with friends and a four player adapter. Such a laugh all picking on my little brother with mates.

I miss you HUDSON.

Re: Tomorrow: Watch Spamfish Attempt to Qualify in Heat 3 of our Mario Kart 8 Championship

Nice article and 'Good luck' to you Spamfish. I shall tune in to see, if how he gets on.

I've been quite optimistic that since the all mighty update, the problems with disconnections have been sorted out. In the last hour, I've done a little tester with the Mario Cup. Here's how I got on:

First six races were great and I finished in 1st place, Wooohooo. Win my last two races and I'll finish with maximum points, joint top of the leaderboard. Race 7, so I'm halfway around the track and well out in 1st place. Then low and behold. BANG!!! Disconnection, no points and worst still my lost opportunity of racing again as when I re-join the cup , it brings me to race 8.

Ok, I'll take that one on chin. Perhaps... Maybe.... Just a one off disconnection, because I'm told the update has sorted out theses types on things out.

Race 8, a perfect start and I'm straight out in 1st place. A quick look behind me after receiving a green shell and my opponent is right there. I release my shell backwards and it's a direct hit leaving them for dust. Then... Can't be... Nooooooo!!!! Disconnection, I'm left with no points from that race and no opportunity of racing it again -sob-

I hope people don't experience these same disconnection issues as I do this weekend.

Here we have a new small company, this is not a Atlus (Sammy). So, I can forgive them for taking so long. I really like how transparent they have been with the process and supportive to potential fans. However, peoples general view across many media and gaming websites seems to be the hype train has aready left the station.

I stil find it strange, how this game get's people so excited. Being it looks like something, I've played as a kid on my Amiga.

I've kind of thought it may be an early 2015 release. I've got my hopes up for release over the holiday period tho.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei IV's European Release Pushed Back to "Late October"

WYLD-WOO

@Noelemahc @Blaze - I agree with you both. I'm putting it down to either BS or a marketing reason being a Halloween release, which is no coincidence. Finding it hard to boycott the game but everyone has a breaking limit and mine has been reached. This all started way before the problems with this EU release with game breaking bugs in the first game.

Re: Poll: Tell Us What You Think of the New Nintendo 3DS

WYLD-WOO

@datamonkey - I think some investigation into this is needed. Definitely something that's important to me too. As we all have a Network ID, I see no reason why I can't at worst delete my games from my current system. Then download them again once, I've linked my new system to the eshop via my network ID. It's not the best option for me as I've well over 50 games on my current 3DS.

Seriously.... After waiting patiently for this long, I've lost it with this game. John Hardin you can stick ya SMTlV... May get purchased from me, if there is some kind of promotion on it over the next few years.

People wait untill there is a real discount on this before purchasing. This has been on sale so many times on the US eshop, since it's release.

Re: Poll: Tell Us What You Think of the New Nintendo 3DS

WYLD-WOO

@unrandomsam - Right ok. Thanks for the response. I would deactivate the system before selling, so that person could use their own network ID. I would put a spare empty SD card in and sell.

Keep my SD card and transfer the data to my new micro SD via my computer and put that In the new system. Is this right? Or am I wrong?

Re: Poll: Tell Us What You Think of the New Nintendo 3DS

WYLD-WOO

@datamonkey - Can't you just keep ya SD card and sell it without. Transfer the data via a computer once you get the new system. That's what I'm going to do.

I'm honestly not a technical person, I bought a new SD card recently and found it very easy to transfer my data over

Re: Poll: Tell Us What You Think of the New Nintendo 3DS

For me there is enough benefits as a 'new' system or upgrade whatever you want to call it, to justify the cost. However, I'll hopefully see a list of expected games for this 'new' 3DS. These are the three main reasons that I'll get one.
1. Will play better quality games than my existing 3DS does
2. The BIG thing for me is the new nub stick and additional back buttons (about time)
3. Improved 3D - I use this where possible already and l'm looking forward to seeing this in action

REALLY IMPORTANT NINTENDO THAT YOU BACK THIS CONSOLE UP WITH A FULL LIBRARY OF EXCLUSIVE GAMES.

Re: New Nintendo 3DS Models Announced

WYLD-WOO

@Kaze_Memaryu - Thanks for ya explaination, I didn't know that about the gbc and I'ts been a long time since I've used one. I'm not a technical person but I've been a gamer for most of my days. I've seen so many different nintendeo handhelds re-designs and new consoles, come and go. Each time IMO, I've never really seen such a massive jump in system quality and I see no difference here. I really don't look at things like CPU's, RAM's etc. I look at what games or unique experience, that console has to offer. Ports for me are not the preferred choice as I've normally played most of the games, that I've already wanted to play. However, there is always a new generation of gamers that would could experience this for the first time. The answer to ya question, Is wait and see, If there are games on that system that you will play that justifys the cost of it. As I've already mentioned, I'm a nintendo fan, so of course I'll be getting one regardless.

Re: New Nintendo 3DS Models Announced

WYLD-WOO

@Kaze_Memaryu - Ok, I see where you are coming from. I was not talking about the re-designs like the micro and XL as examples. I've always seen the gameboy to colour version as an upgrade and the same with colour to advance. The same with as you mentioned the DS systems. Is this not the same thing?

If an improvement of hardware is offered to play better games, is that not classed as an upgrade? I always thought the next handheld system would play Wii quality games, like we have here.

Re: Mario Kart 8 Update, Mercedes Karts and DLC Pre-Orders Now Live

WYLD-WOO

First impression of the update are really good. Just played about an hour and Mario Kart was a bit of a Merc fest but dam was it a lot of fun. Hope they show some love for the bikes in the new vechicle dlc.

For those people who won't purchase MK8 dlc, you're going to really miss out on all the fun.

Re: 3DS Homebrew Channel Reportedly in Final Stages of Development

WYLD-WOO

@Zombie_Barioth - Ok... Thanks for clearing that one up. I do think peoples idea, perception and definition of the term hacker seem to differ and can be lost in translation. One thing, I would say on thinking about this subject. The person(s) enabling people to play region locked games would bring nothing but happiness to lots of people.
