@Cally : Post 55 - Yeah, I know what you mean with the Mario avitars. I wish it'd randomize the avitars to make it easier to see who's posting what. And I also wonder what age 24 (my age) is in gamers years. lol... I remember playing the Atari when I was younger. lol....
I wish people would stop saying things about the half star system and keeping it at 5. Because a half start is like adding a number in between the star anyways. For example, 4 and a half stars is easily a 9 rating. Seriously, people need to leave it be and accept it's going to change because change is usually for the better in the long run.
I'm not all that impressed really. I'm still waiting on Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Soon hopefully!
And it's ironic that Winter Games just came out as I got this cheap Winter Games thing for the Wii that my mother-in-law bought the other day saying we'd like it...strange.
Don, that's also true. Several things could influence the change for NoJ. I personally think that it will come out regardless in the future because once the Virtual Console's catalogue of games is dried up, they'll have to figure something out. They can't re-sell all these VC games to the people who already own a Wii (who'd want to buy them again on a NEWER version of the Wii?). So, in the end, they'll have to resort to figuring out a way to get these games out of the dustpan and into the Wii. I'm still holding out for Zombies Ate My Neighbors to be honest. If Earthbound comes out at all, it might come out as Mother II as the title.
Okay...this rumor is out of hand. I think it's time to tell you all that Earthbound WILL eventually come to a Wii near you...just when is another issue.
If Kid Rock can get away with copying Metallica on the song Sad But True (listen to Kid Rock's American Bad Ass then Sad But True by Metallica), you'll see that Kid Rock can steal music and rap over it. Why can't Earthbound do the same? lol
The games I'd like to see first would be these: Dracula X: Rondo Of Blood Keith Courage in Alpha Zones Mario Party 1, 2 & 3 Super Adventure Island II Super Bonk 1 & 2 Ys III & IV To be honest, I'd like to say that all these games should still come out.
I'd like to point out these are only the games they've announced are coming. This doesn't mean that there aren't more great games. I'm keeping my hopes up for some sweet imports that never made it to the United States (as I grew up there). And yes, the Sega Channel was sweet as hell back in the day. Why doesn't Sega have a Sega Channel available on the Wii? I remember playing the hell out of Pirates Gold!
Shadx, I can't help but agree. It's like saying we'll give you a half of a game and instead of giving you the other half, we'll give you one additional level. They cheaped out on the multi-player.
To be honest, I liked Clayfighter on the SNES when I was young in America. I'm pretty sure I'd hate it now because it was only fun back in the day because it was unique with clay, but gameplay makes a game and it made me remember the unresponsive controls at points in the game and the extremely ridiculous difficulty in some enemies. If everyone is disappointed, just think, at least this garbage is out of the way and it means EVENTUALLY they will have to release the gems in the bag. And true, this garbage may be someone else's gem.
I don't think it has to do with legal issues with EA. I think some games need to come out with newer names, like, Superman 64 should be called "Superman 64 : This Game Sucks Edition" and the game Final Fantasy I should be renamed "Final Fantasy : Not really the final one since there's more to come!"
I agree Tony. My brother lost interest in the Wii VC catalogue almost instantly because he says the 360 offers him a better variety and he's totally into the achievements. If only Nintendo offered achievements... EDIT: I'm American, living in the UK, my brother is in the US still.
Shmups aren't my thing. I was more of a Fire Emblem guy to be honest...and still, no love coming my way on VC for those. And yes, I bet Corbie is like, nevermind, can't say that in this forum. lol And I've realised Nintendo's plan for the VC now. This is how it really works guys:
Nintendo releases great games after Christmas to make those NEW to the Wii think that there are great games released weekly, when in fact, they are only buttering them up for the crap releases later, and then hopefully, they will dupe some poor schmuck into buying Superman 64.
Politics get us no where. We are all Virtual Console lovers and we should be united when it comes to games, not divided. So what if someone else's opinion is different?
...Don't say that about Faxandu...that's another game I hold dear to me... Zombies Ate My Neighbors will come out, one way or another. Nintendo has a lot of games they still could put out but it just depends on how much money Nintendo is willing to spend.
SOD that. I think they should reward those who download VC games the right to vote. I've always thought that. Vote for the possible games that should come out the follow week(s).
Also, don't give up hope. When we least expect it, Nintendo may redeem themselves with quality games. We're still missing a lot of games like Majora's Mask and a few other gems out there. For people looking for a good game to try out, ToeJam & Earl is actually quite fun two players, even when we completed it, it's still fun to play to try to kill the boogiemen!
If anyone likes weird quirky games, try De Blob. It's actually quite relaxing for a game. And Friday the 13th of February better have some good VC sweetness because that's just a cool date. Maybe they'll give us a horror game like Nightmare on Elm Street. lol
I was just thinking, where are Mario Party 1, 2, and 3 as well as Final Fantasy 1-6? Square has milked us long enough for they're re-re-re-releasing of these games. I think it's time they owned up and offered it on the VC. As for Mario Partys, Nintendo could easily release those, it's just whenever they're bored?
Indeed Ness... I never got into Star Fox and I feel like I'm missing out on a gem. I think another game that should come out is A Boy And His Blob, another one tha I think would offer me plenty of laughter. I like obscure games...if anyone can offer me some good ideas that aren't obvious, I'd be greatful. And yes, I'm still on that stupid moving wall in Secret of Mana that pushes me to the spikes!
Good point Virus. I checked my Club Nintendo account and it's missing some games...also, thought I should mention that Nintendo asks for our opinion on the Nintendo channel to see what games fall under what category, this is only possible if you've played the game for a certain amount of time. Now, if they were to offer the ability to create accounts for this, it would solve the issue slightly. I wonder if they need to re-license the games for the next console?
Clayfrd is absolutely correct on the My Club Nintendo linking. It shows your downloads and registered games you own for the Wii. This would be the logical thing for Nintendo to do for future consoles and backward compatability downloading.
Sonic & Knuckles could be released for 800 Wii Points and if you bought the Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 downloads, they could offer to give you the expansion as part of the Sonic & Knuckles game for FREE like they should, or they could make Sonic & Knuckles cost you more than normal like they seem to do with games that don't really need it.
As for Jiggy37, you're spot on. But I think that Adventures of Lolo 3 can wait til I finish 2.

@169 : Chunky, I got a new release you're talking about : Mario & Sonic : At The Winter Olympics is coming out. lol

I smell a remake coming to the DS.

Re: OFLC Update: Even More Imports!
MickEiA, you should probably download Paper Mario as it will give you the longest play time out of the list.

Re: USA VC Update: Wonder Boy in Monster Land
Anyone else besides me think that De Blob is actually a pretty cool game?
Re: USA VC Update: Wonder Boy in Monster Land
Now it looks like America is playing catch up with us.
Re: EU VC Update: Mario Golf and Wonder Boy in Monster Land
Can anyone honestly tell me why I should get Mario Golf 64 when I have the Gamecube version of Mario Golf?
Re: Wonder Boy in Monster Land Includes Special Options
I'm not too bothered to be honest.
Re: Nintendo Channel: Ian Livingstone C64 Interview
Right....and this why I own a Wii, not for the graphics, for the game play and unique games.
Re: USA VC Update: MUSHA
Adamant, I can't get a Japanese Wii because I'm poor..lol...I'm in the process of getting a mortgage and buying my first house (3 bedroom) w00t.
And I haven't gotten the new DS Fire Emblem yet (I'm gonna buy it in America since it'll be cheaper when I go in May)

Re: ESRB Cleans Up
I still think that Square-Enix is losing a fortune by not putting Final Fantasy games on the Wii's Virtual Console.
Re: ESRB Cleans Up
That's a lame excuse if that's the reason.
Re: ESRB Cleans Up
Hey guys, I finally beat that wall boss in Secret of Mana, go me!

Anyone else looking into the game The Conduit? It looks rather pleasing...
Re: USA VC Update: Castlevania III
I hope Nintendo has a good release for February 13th...Friday the 13th? lol...
Also, I think they should release the Tiny Toons games soon, that article a while back made me miss that game.

Re: ESRB Update: Super Punch-Out!! and Ogre Battle on Their Way to the US
I agree Droid. Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party made decent use of the board, but I still prefer the game without the board.
Re: ESRB Update: Super Punch-Out!! and Ogre Battle on Their Way to the US
Totally off subject, but JK (post number 45) has the funniest Mario picture ever. lol

Re: Talking Point: Is the Virtual Console On The Slide?
Sonic & Knuckles would be hard to emulate as you'd have to offer the backwards compatability that came with it on Sonic 2 & Sonic 3.
