I'm not bothered. The software (games) are cheaper and cheaper. NEVER pre-order...I've learned my lesson. I preordered a game and then decided not to get it later on...it would've cost me 29.99 for Madworld, it's on sale on Amazon for 17.99...sad huh?
You know what sucks? Organising all your VC titles on your SD card so they read in a format that's easier for your spouse to understand...(All Mario titles on page 1), ect.
It's not shocking at all. My boss has an illegal card and it contains twenty of the top games, including Professor Layton, New Super Mario Bros, and more. I, however, buy my games in America when I am on holiday, unfortunately, no DSi for me.
I think that Majora's Mask isn't a big deal at all. The reason being is because it's already released on the N64 for one, and second, it's re-released on the Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition...the majority of people who've been waiting for MM could've easily purchased Zelda Collector's Edition at a fraction of the price it'd cost for Majora's Mask and still get Zelda 1, 2, and Ocarina of Time. And not to mention, if you were lucky like I said, I got mine for FREE from Nintendo just because I registered a lot of games back when I lived in America...
I am fairly impressed with the web design of this site. I'm looking forward to reading more various Nintendo news. Now, any news on Zombies Ate My Neighbors? Because they're acting weird lately...
Zzzzz....I'm just wondering what we'll get on Friday. I haven't even turned on my Wii since the SD Card update unfortunately...I should probably finish Metroid Prime 3...
I'm still not sold on the VC Arcade. It's almost like Nintendo just has another reason to release games that are already out and throw many spin off Street Fighters at us... I'm sorry to say, I'm not impressed with the VC Arcade but the SD Card update was a surprise and well received.
Fordianslip, yes, it's true. That's the reason my friend Lawrence bought that game. He didn't really care for the other game (Fight Night Round 2). And Chunky Droid, no, I'm still not a fan of boxing games...boxercise does it for me. I'm more of a marathon runner than boxer.
Bass, I'm praying for it. I need some classic gaming to get into. I'm ALMOST about to break down and get World of Goo finally and I still haven't broken down to get LostWinds (which, I know, I'm missing out on). I will get these titles EVENTUALLY. I'm hoping that the Strong Bad games are coming as a compilation cd for the Wii or something, it'd save me some £ but I doubt they'll do that. Anyone else interested in the following games since NOBODY remarked about it:
MadWorld House of the Dead : Overkill The Conduit (looks amazing!) Dead Space (new one for Wii only) Mushroom Men Deadly Creatures
And anyone else interested in the Wii-Ware title Meat Boy?
I'm so glad that C64 games aren't coming as frequently here in the UK anymore. And yes, the Wii has a hot lineup coming this year: House of the Dead : Overkill Madworld Mushroom Men Deadly Creatures (haven't tried it but it looks awesome) The Conduit Dead Space (prequel to the PS3 and 360 version, all new game)
I'm not impressed at all. I'm still waiting for a few more games for the Virtual Console and then I may have to pack it in. I've finally finished Adventures of Lolo 2 (BRING ON NUMBER 3!)
Poor guy Metroid133....that sucks. I'm actually waiting for Metroid Prime 3 to arrive this week and hopefully I finish Zack & Wiki before it gets here.
@31: Yes, it's in the attic. I'm in the process of trying to buy a house so it will be given it's proper attention when we've bought our new home. I'll also have to get Altered Beast out...that game always makes me laugh.
@Will: I was wondering about your lack of witty comments.
Overall, I think that this game is a miss rather than a hit in my books. I've downloaded the two that are already available in the UK and don't like either one of them (my wife likes one of them). Back to finishing Adventures of Lolo 2 : Castle level!
Psyduck, I agree with you there. Personally, I think Nintendo needs to release collection cds. For example, Zelda : Collection Cd for Gamecube contains Zelda 1, Zelda 2, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask. Now, if they released a second version of this for example, Wii edition, including A Link To The Past, Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, people would buy it in a heartbeat. Same could be said for the Mario franchise...Mario 1, 2, 3, World, World-2, and other miscellaneous Mario titles could easily sell. Now, Square hasn't figured this out yet, but they should do it for all consoles for FF1-6 and then re-release 7-9... If Resident Evil can do it, so can they!
I'm not impressed with this release week. As someone stated earlier, I haven't bought anything from the VC since Secret of Mana. I must agree as well. I'm almost finished with Lolo and Zack & Wiki.
To be honest, only a select few would bother with Fire Emblem. I hate to say it but I only enjoyed them and only ONE of my many other friends liked Fire Emblem even remotely. Maybe someday I will get lucky and they'll release them as a Wii-Collection... I can dream can't I?
I don't know Captain Konami, I never really got into F-Zero...racers aren't my type of thing. I already have Contra III and I'll look into Wrecking Crew.
The European version of the VC won't allow you to change it to North American settings. And for the record, I once lived in Iowa, served in a meaningless war called Operation Iraqi Freedom, and honestly don't think it was worth my time over there...Politics are best left to people who can argue them. I think that the opinions about whether the war is right or wrong shouldn't be discussed in this forum though since it's really a gaming site.
Now, with that aside, can anyone recommend me some good games NOT made by Nintendo so I download something new?
This controller will offer people better grip on the classic controller and make it feel more comfortable. I'm gonna try to convince my wife to let me get one.
My fondest gaming times were with the N64...Smash Bros multiplayer (4 player), Goldeneye mayhem, Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, Donkey Kong 64, Kirby and the Crystal Shards, Mario Kart 64, Mario Party 1, 2, and 3, Super Mario 64 obviously, Paper Mario, need I say more?
The N64 offered so many multiplayer possibilities that the PS1 and PS2 didn't offer when they were out.
And I enjoyed the old SNES days playing Zelda A Link To The Past and several other gems...the only game I'm waiting on that's my dad's favorite is Faxanadu, I never got the chance to play it...
You know Gardawg62, the memory issue hasn't been brought up in awhile. Everyone must've been accepting the fact that Nintendo isn't going to solve it anytime soon. I personally think that I'm going to have to play more Wii games than VC games in the near future, Mad World, No More Heroes II, House of the Dead Overkill, The Conduit, and several more are looking way more appealing towards my deep pockets.

Re: Morrison's offering DSi on the cheap
Not cheap enough. I have three DS's already...two Lites and one brick one..
Re: Wii Manufacturing Cost Reduced by 45%

Re: Nintendo of Europe Announces April-July WiiWare / DSiWare Lineup
They can prematurly release the WiiWare games, but not the VC games? Load of rubbish.
Re: PS3 Outsells the Wii in Japan
Yeah, I've even contemplating getting one of the other two just to get RE5.
Re: StarFox Developer Not Interested in Wii Sequel
I never really got into Star Fox...

Re: More Accuracy Than You Can Shake a Wii Remote At
Sword Battle for the win. I'd rather it be totally accurate than not, so I can't blame the hardware, I just suck at the game. lol J/K
Re: South Korean President feeling sad about DS Piracy
It's not shocking at all. My boss has an illegal card and it contains twenty of the top games, including Professor Layton, New Super Mario Bros, and more. I, however, buy my games in America when I am on holiday, unfortunately, no DSi for me.
Re: Review: WarioWare: Snapped! (DSiWare)
The only one I've played was Smooth Moves and that was kind of a stinker of a game.
Re: Euro Update: DSiWare Launch Games and Majora's Mask
I think that Majora's Mask isn't a big deal at all. Re: DSiWare Launch Titles in Australia (and elsewhere...?)
Oh snap first comment. Hopefully it'll have a killer launch.
Re: Arc Rise Fantasia – Now with 100% Less Underboob
I think that games shouldn't be censored at all. It blocks a developer's creative flow.

Re: Review: Mappy (Arcade)
When you say "insert more credits", does it cost Wii Points to do so? It's very disconcerting...
Re: Namco Announces Upcoming Arcade Games
I'm still trying to figure out what it means by putting coins in the machine to play these VC arcade games. It sounds like a con to me.
Re: Final Fantasy Finally Coming to VC
I'm better off keeping my GBA versions.
Re: Review: Super Punch-Out!! (SNES)
I can wait forever for that title...just started Metroid Prime 3 and it's pretty amazing so far...not difficult though.
Zack & Wiki was a pretty cool game too...difficult in some ways.
Re: Review: Super Punch-Out!! (SNES)

Re: Review: Super Punch-Out!! (SNES)
I've never liked boxing. The only boxing game I'm involved in is Boxercise on the Wii Fit.
Re: USA VC Update: Summer Games II
Clayfighter 63 and a 1/3?

Re: Review: Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars (SMS)
@Will: Loves it completely
Yeah, I finally broke down and ordered Metroid Prime 3 for £7.50, talk about a steal right?

Re: Bonk's Adventure
Bonk is challenging for me...I only seem to get past boss 2 before I'm cashing in for the night.
Re: Review: Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars (SMS)
It's not fun. My wife has all the cheats written down on the actual Master System in the attic...

Re: USA VC Update: Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen
Smash Bros 64 is good and all, but that's it. Good. It's not to die for.
Re: Review: Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen (SNES)
I can only imagine how difficult it is...hopefully it will be Fire Emblem difficult...

Re: Review: Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen (SNES)
To be honest, this game does interest me. My only hope is that eventually we will be treated with Fire Emblem originals.
Re: USA VC Update: Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen
I am insanely jealous...but that's okay, I'll get it eventually.

lol to the video of the guy beating the game. Poor fella...lol
Re: Wisconsin To Tax Digital Downloads
For the record, I'm from the great state of Iowa. And if you live in Illinois, I will be coming there in May...muhahaha.
Re: Wisconsin To Tax Digital Downloads
I hope this isn't a sign to come for overseas users...we already pay a ton of tax for corporate bailouts in the UK....
