Who else would is wishing Trilogy got the Chronicles treatment. Amazing animation, great QOL features, so many extras! I would probably pay again. Not sure what the animation was like in the 3ds version.

@TheMadManSFX I was being a bit snarky. They are both great books, but Orwell was a democratic socialist who fought for the communists in the spanish civil war. He wouldn't be an opponent of progressive opinions.

@TheMadManSFX You can think whatever you like, I'm a quarter Italian and I'm not bothered by Mario's depiction (although it is a little laughable), I personally really don't like adverts for italian themed products with hilarious jokes about how everyone's in the mafia (especially when it's made by an American company in Ireland). But it doesn't affect me that much. And it's not that bad a a stereotype. I can see why having your nationality denigrated as a group of habitual drunkards might be offensive to some (if not to you) or why yet another stereotype about native americans that don't look you, but do like to go to war a lot, might be exasperating.

@WhiteUmbrella Maybe I'm wrong, and the complaining is just good nature debate, and not privileged whining, but when I hear people from minority groups talk about negative experiences, I empathise with them, I don't complain how something that has no negative effect on anything is woke posturing.

@Jmjfrank It's because they get very upset that they can't tell the author of an article from a discriminated against group (women, people from ethnic minorities) that their opinion is limited.

I played Animal Crossing and Pokemon Snap with a young mixed race girl, and guess what, she wanted to make the characters look like her (although possibly with pink/blue hair)! It's not unreasonable.

Of course they have plans for another model. They're not going to launch the next gen after 14 days of development time!

Will play if it's free on xbox gamepass. But why would I buy it when I have Smash? The Ninja Turtles (and maybe Reptar) are the only remotely interesting characters (to me).

@dimi I'm talking about the One S (the old one), but my point is it doesn't matter. It's better for playing Fortnite, but at playing Mario Kart it's no better than my electric toothbrush.

@Crono1973 I don't need anything to play mario kart, I have a switch, but people aren't choosing between xboxes and switches, as they do different things, so why compare specs? If you want to play Mario Kart on an OLED screen, then this is the one to buy. The Xbox Series S is really not going to help.

The article's a bit silly it says the controllers are the same, but they might not be... Point being they still fit on the rails. If they changed the sticks on the controllers last year, they'd still be the same controllers!

People buy Ninty kit for the games. Microsoft and Sony might poach each other's users. Nintendo not so much.

So, 4k and a processor bump would have been a definite day 1 upgrade, but still specs are not that important, this isn't competing with PS5/XBox, it's just competing with itself. Cross platform games are nice-to-haves. No one buys a Switch to play (new) Doom.
