Re: Review: Minecraft Dungeons - A Simple Action RPG That Relies Too Heavily On The Minecraft Name

TheGameTutor

It is rare that I disagree with reviews but this is one of those rare moments. The main bit I disagree with is saying the game is short.

Firstly remember this is a cheap game not a full price release.

Now yes there are 11 levels but as it is "Minecraft Diablo" it plays with the different difficulties where once you complete it on normal you then move up a difficulty working to get gear to help you get further (it is almost a roguelike in ways).

To says its short would be the same as criticizing Slay the Spire by saying it only has 4 stages or a shmup for having 6...

The game is not meant to be played once and then discarded...

Re: 2K Reveals WWE 2K Battlegrounds, A Brand New Arcade-Style Game

TheGameTutor

Ok ... I am not opposed to an arcade WWE wrestling game but if this was what they chose to show us as an example of what it's all about then it is not looking good.

Please just give us a proper management game with rival promotions, talent relations, booking decisions etc. set it in the attitude era (so WWE do not have to invent rival promotions) and have us run WWE, WCW, ECW or even one of the indies WWE now owns). you can still include modern wrestlers along with legends.

Hell why not also involve the "2nd party" indie companies like Progress and Evolve.

Re: Review: Astral Chain - Platinum's Best Game Ever? You'd Better Believe It

TheGameTutor

@Mr_Muscle It is more like this style of game is simply not your "cup of tea" Bayonetta and Neir Automata are both widely praised and the transformers game also received some good reviews. I love Bayonetta and Neir Automatta and am very excited for Astral Chain. This genre is obviously not your bag in which case I doubt this game will convert you.

Re: Review: PC Building Simulator - A Surprisingly Decent Rig

TheGameTutor

@GrailUK I did play it on PC but it is a decent game. I actually think it would have been better for it to not use the word simulator which doesn't always hold the best connotations.

For people into PC building it's great and for anyone with a vague interest there's a lot of fun to bed had. You actually learn how to out a PC together about parts and compatibility quite well. (It is all licensed and genuine parts).

Re: Review: PC Building Simulator - A Surprisingly Decent Rig

TheGameTutor

@GrailUK Not a dead mouse but quite often in this game when you get a used PC to fix they are caked in dirt and dust inside and you need to clean them.

There is one "mission" where you get a returned PC where they claim they received the wrong part but you can see the "wrong part" is caked in dust so you know they are trying to swindle you.

Its actually pretty deep and is more of a detective game almost.

This was not a great review.

Re: Want Resident Evil On Your Switch? You'd Better Have Deep Pockets

TheGameTutor

Ok, I have a theory....

Capcom only really wants £15 for each of these but they know that due to the poor layout of the eshop people won't find them. This way they can put them at 50% off most of the time and sell them at the £15 price point they actually intend to sell them at and if anyone does buy them for £30 then its a bonus.

Theme Parks operate under a similar scheme where they fully expect most attendees to have a 50% off or 2 for 1 coupon.

Re: Random: 70-Year-Old Pokémon Player Ditches His Bike For A Fearsome Full-Body Rig

TheGameTutor

@ThomasS These days smart phone theft is relatively low and declining.

As all phones have security on them and are easily traceable, blockable etc and therefore almost impossible to sell on most thieves don't bother with them...

Of all thefts that are reported almost 50% are when a phone has been left unattended somewhere and no longer there when the owner returns. Only about 3% of thefts have some kind of "confrontation" aspect.

These stats come from the Identity Management institute. (there is government data that backs this all up but this seemed easier to digest for a comments sections )
