Re: Nintendo Reveals Its Version of iTunes For 3DS

TheAmazingRaccoon

doesnt matter if they find a partner for europe because it wont be tranferable to NZ. Even if they get a partner in Australia it still probably wont be useable in NZ even though we come under NoAu. Why does Nintendo hate supplying NZ with services? [End rant]

Re: Feature: Looking Back at Six Years of Wii

TheAmazingRaccoon

I have spent more on games for the wii than possibly all my other systems of the past combined. I have bought more retail games for the wii that any other system (It is possible however that I have more games for my N64; I am talking about for the actual console not VC on the wii. I am not going to count them up for the purposes of this post though) and when you add VC and wiiware purchase the total is mind boggling. The wii also gave me the chance to play SNES games. The SNES is the only nintendo generation I missed; my parents got me a NES but failed to buy me a SNES when the next generation came out. Shame on them. Then the 64 was the first home console I purchased with my own money (the first console I bought was the GB) so I completely missed the SNES. So for that alone I love the wii.

Re: Walmart Offers Layaway and Midnight Pickup For Wii U

TheAmazingRaccoon

I am going to be treating my ebgames premium preorder like a layby (layaway) even though they don't offer it. There is no way I will pay it all by launch, but there is no maximum time they will keep it for; so I will just pay it off at my leisure.

I missed out on the black wii, I am not going to miss out on a black wiiu (I do wish there was a yellow wiiu at launch though black is the next best thing).

Re: 3DS eShop Set for Maintenance in Europe, Right Before Nintendo Direct

TheAmazingRaccoon

it appears to be the NSMB2 DLC. I don't know since I don't have the game (saving all money for WiiU). But that's what the Nintendo direct mini is about. I wanted more GBA games [cries].

Oh yeah, WAIKATO HAS THE RANFURLY SHIELD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go the mighty Mooloo! (the Ranfurly Shield is the most important piece of silverware in NZ provincial rugby. More important than the provincial championship title, because it is rare to get a challenge for it) Take that Taranaki. I AM SO HAPPY This will be the last post with a happiness component.

We will get it 3 years down the track. Still no sign of the DSi version, I don't expect to see this.

Re: Feature: In Defence of Super Mario Sunshine

I love everything about SMS except the fact that you basically have to finish every every shine in every level to get to the end boss. It didn't have the "do it your own way" mentality that is prevalent in the 3D marios. I love the way you can choose where to get the required stars etc for the final boss in the other 3D SMs.

Re: Feature: 20 Years of Mario Kart

for single player MKDS is my favorite. The choice of retro courses was superb (especially Moo Moo Farm; I don't know why I love it, but I do. It's just so bizarre). The character roster is also superior (go ROB!). Snaking ruined multiplayer, but I don't buy a portable game for multiplayer as the top priority.

Re: Conker's Bad Fur Day Madness and Vulgarity The Work of "Twisted Genius"

TheAmazingRaccoon

BFD was the first game I bought through the internet. It was in the beginnings of modern online game stores.

This is one of my all time favorite games. It is one of the saddest things about the dissolution of the old rare staff, that we will likely never see a sequel on any system (and if we do, it will be a very pale imitation of the original). I mean all modern day Rare could muster was a graphical make over of the original with online play. It is also a shame that Nintendo don't own conker.

I am the great mighty poo, and I'm going to throw my [something] at you!

I know every word to that song, I love the game.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Five

TheAmazingRaccoon

I am playing through the mirrored master quest in LoZ:OoT3D. I have played through master quest many times before, but not mirrored. I didnt think mirrored would make such a difference, but it does (especially biggorons sword). Just finished the water temple: so much fun, especially the puzzles that lead to the golden sculltula(s) (what is the plural of sculltula? Is it like Raccoon, where both Raccoons and Raccoon are correct?). The water temple is usually my favorite dungeon in Zelda games; as I love thinking laterally, and the water temple is usually the most lateral.

Re: Review: Rayman (3DS eShop / Game Boy Color)

TheAmazingRaccoon

the review should have been comparing it to other GB games or other eshop titles, NOT the PS version. It was never going to stack up.

Can someone give an opinion based on the game on its own? Also does anyone have both the dsi version and this? which is better? Also is the dsiware worth 30% more in terms of cost?
