Re: Pokémon's Diamond & Pearl Remakes Become The Second Biggest Switch Game Launch In Japan

Super_Smash_Lad

I'm actually quite happy BDSP is doing better than Pokemon Sword & Shield, as there is a lot more heart that's gone into BDSP.

It took me a while to get used all Pokemon not being around, but in the end it made sense. Sword & Shield to me, is a very rushed bland game (Ignoring the exclusion of megas). The game had so many issues and inconsistencies with animations. No voice actors in parts that really needed it and more. I see very little heart put into the game, which I really blame TPC for rushing Game Freak.

When I look at BDSP, I can see heart put into it. Using the chibi artstyle to mimic the feel of the original Pokemon Diamond and pearl games was very clever.

I was a bit disappointed about the exclusion of mega evolutions, especially since some Pokemon NEEDED it. Overall though, it's seems like a really good remake that I can't wait to play.

I'm sure updates will come to add in more content.

Why are people still throwing tomatoes at @GetShulk for pointing out what is technically true? Whether it's true or not that GameFreak created new models for the Pokemon, does not change the fact that the Pokemon in S&S look AND move exactly the same to Pokemon Sun and Moon(With Pokemon in S&S looking better of course). Why create models from scratch if you're going to animate them the exact same way as the previous game?

I get that not everyone wants to hear the cons of the game all the time, but claiming that none of these issues are major makes no sense. Imagine Nintendo removing a headphone jack and gave the excuse that there's too much components.

I agree that you shouldn't let someone ruin the fun of the game if you want to buy it(I might even buy it).

I know what i'm going to say is probably completely off-topic, but looking at that Paper Mario picture kinda justs reminds me of how much Nintendo messed the Paper Mario series. Thinking that replacing stickers with cards removes the problem, taking exp out of a RPG, I mean COME ON. I'm not even a huge fan of the series(in fact my first Paper Mario game was Sticker Star),but it pains me, a least a little, knowing that the last two Paper Mario games were not NEARLY as good as it should've been. I can just imagine how all the die-hard fans must be feeling up till today. I've actually enjoyed Sticker Star and Colour Splash(ESPECIALLY the dialogue), but knowing what the series once was, it's hard not to feel angry when looking at this game. I hope Nintendo will quenche the thirst of the hardcore Paper Mario fans with a remake of Paper Mario And The Thousand Year Door(I think that's what it's called), or a brand new Paper Mario game.

Sorry for being off-topic.

@MagicEmperor "You mad" I sure do:)

She can be so tricky to fight against(especially technical peach mains). A lot of Peach mains like to jump then quickly fall to the ground(I think it has a name, but can't recall) deceiving you that she would use an aerial, but then quickly goes for a grab or some other attack.

I find her the most pressurizing character in the game both on shield AND mentally. Look at Samsora, possibly the best Peach player out there. He'd be a nightmare to fight against.

To top it all off, she has THE most annoying victory animation in the game..to me at least>

Anyway, it would be nice to see her in one of these next trailers:) Even if she doesn't lose a "1-UP"

Seeing Luigi in the Castlevania universe, facing all those monsters was surprising. While I admit the trailer was a WEE BIT frightening, the scene where Luigi gets slashed wasn't out of place. Almost all the scenes with Luigi were slightly serious, but clearly cartoonish(Luigi had some cartoonish cutscenes in the Luigi Mansion Series). Even Luigi getting striked had sprinkles of sillyness.

From the comments i've seen on Youtube about this, it's mostly taken as some kind of joke(like what happened to Mega Man and Mario).
