Main memory of Other M's story was Samus repeatedly saying, "the baby", that getting on my nerves and wondering how the script writer couldn't come up with other ways of saying it.
In the end I used it as a streaming box for Moonlight with my PC which gave it a burst of new life until I improved the setup with a SteamLink. It was okay. Loved the initial idea of the console, but the execution wasn't great*
@Pod Hopefully, it is, kotaku was just the first article I grabbed from a search, was widely reported so it's in the back of people's minds. I want a portable dock (just ordered one) so it's something that needs some careful research and hope that future updates don't screw it all up again. It shouldn't but can't count on it
@Rodan2000 2 to me was a better game in terms of how it was put together and written. But the first one is just more fun and doesn't take itself as seriously
@kepsux 1 repeatedly press for normal fire, hold for a charge beam 2 I think it was a kind of checkpoint system, but it put you back a bit from where you died. Been a while so can't remember
@RushDawg Maybe it's because the Wonder Boy remake did so well they want people to buy that on Switch instead? Seems to only be on Steam and Switch (I think)
"but thankfully they don’t offer any tangible benefit bar making you look fresh" Is this some slang the kids who watch the Hit Parade use? #imnotwithitdaddio
@mazzel You could think of it as small scale indie and 'AAA' indie maybe, where Team17 fit is debatable as they're still relatively small scale compared to others. In the scheme of things these days the lines are definitely more blurred. At one point Introversion called themselves the 'last of the bedroom programmers' or similar but now with stuff like Axiom Verge being done by one guy that description doesn't work but the concept works for the smaller stuff. I think Introversion dropped that slogan ages ago.
@mazzel yes, they develop and publish their own stuff so they're not beholden to another publisher, at least this is how it used to be. Now sure about right now.
@KayFiOS It's a concept, it's just a way of demonstrating some ideas to show what might be possible, it's not meant to be a full polished level. Think massively pre-alpha before a project is even greenlit.
If they disable the browser then that would limit the WiFi options further (no WPA2 Enterprise support is bloody annoying). Love the idea of this and used a Shield tablet to do much the same previously.
@manu0 professional translators are not cheap. The site will have a certain budget to stick to from their overlords and a post on a site that may or may not confirm something probably wouldn't get clearance.
@Armbouncer you're at work and want to keep playing during breaks? That's why I've done it with the Shield tablet. Long as your home and remote net connections are good it works very well.
@Banemus yeah you did, all Rainway does on a basic level is stream the PC's display to the Switch, sending inputs back. The PC is running Steam as normal with Rainway picking it up.
Anyone tried the Mayflash adapter? Saw the article mentioned 3rd party issues so could well be this won't work, but I won't be able to check until tonight

Re: The Grandia HD Collection Arrives Next Week On The Switch eShop

Re: Hori's Working On A Fix For Its D-Pad Joy-Con Controller That Gobbles Battery Life
Whoops, guess who completely forgot they put an order for one back in April on play-asia and just got an email saying it's shipped?
Re: Hori's D-Pad Joy-Con Controllers Are Eating Up That Precious Switch Battery Life
@gcunit Hori are normally pretty good quality wise so this is disappointing.
Re: Hori's D-Pad Joy-Con Controllers Are Eating Up That Precious Switch Battery Life
@Rhaoulos there's a load of 2D fighters and the joy con is crap for accurate inputs for these games.

To top up on what @retro_player_22 said. Keeping my eye on these, as long as the build quality is up to scratch this should be great.

This isn't accurate. They've issued patches for Meltdown, Spectre is a different case altogether. They can't fix it currently.
