@yeayeanaynay they're okay...ish but yeah if you want any serious play out of 2D fighters arcade stick is the way to go. I'd love a left hand joycon with a real D Pad along the lines of the Saturn one.
@apoqalypse what @FragRed said and it's question of resources. Even if it's as simple as "click compile for Switch" (it's not) they still have to submit it for certification, play test to make sure there aren't any issues that only appear on that platform, correct those issues. All taking time and money, whereas if they release it on some platforms, gets some money they can then put that into porting to other platforms and other projects.
The issue I have here is that Switch doesn't support WPA2 Enterprise which is what we have for the work's WiFi, the alternative WiFi isn't nearly as good so probably wouldn't give particularly good results. Would love to be able to stream my PC stuff from home to work without bringing my Shield in.
Getting this with the t-shirt bundle from the Nintendo Store, I'm a sucker for a bundled t-shirt and this is a good way to play with mates (using the 8bitdo controllers)
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Or they had x amount of resources and time and during development they found issues which changed the requirement's priority from essential (if it ever was) to nice to have. Not laziness, just standard project management. Having a working game at 720 is better than a glitched docked game at 1080. Delaying a project of any kind is costly and can impact other projects so they have to objectively see what is actually essential to make the product available.

Love the idea, already stream to Shield Tablet when at work and this would be brilliant. Not holding my breath mind.

Re: 8Bitdo Releases Firmware Update To Combat Controller Lag On Switch
Update log says it's when using with other controllers, so maybe using joycons and the 8bitdo pads for say 4 player Mario Kart?

@electrolite77 No joy, not surprising but would have been cool.
Re: Hardware Review: Hori's Switch Horipad Is The Controller You Never Knew You Needed
@electrolite77 No, and for some reason it hadn't occurred to me to see if it works. Something to try tonight.

Re: Snakebyte Announces The Wireless Game:Pad Pro For Switch
A left joy con with a quality D-Pad, this is all I want. 8bitdo are good but it's no help on the bus.
Re: Poll: The New Nintendo 2DS XL is Out This Week - Are You Tempted?

Re: Netflix Renews Castlevania Series For A Second, Longer Season

Re: Hori's Nintendo Switch Voice Chat Headset Looks Like A Wired Nightmare
@Morph Think the Switch only has a bluetooth receiver, not a transmitter, so it can't send out audio over bluetooth but I could be wrong.
Re: Check Out Last Resort, the Latest Release in the ACA Neo Geo Series
@Anti-Matter Magical Drop 3 would be brilliant, used to set that up on MAME with some mates along with Wind Jammers.
Re: Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers Gets a Full Digital Foundry Breakdown
@ieatdragonz maybe take a look at the 8bitdo switch support

Re: 8Bitdo Pads Updated With Nintendo Switch Support, Just In Time For Ultra Street Fighter II
@RedMageLanakyn I've got the 8bitdo SNES30 and it's a well made bit of kit.

Oh if this works with Garou as well I am absolutely loving this!
