Re: Review: Cue Sports: Snooker vs Billiards (WiiWare)

Shortay

@coire: Much appreciated, thanks.

@Mr. Cheez: Yeah, I'm a new addition to the reviewing team, so I will be reviewing more games.

It really depends on what you're looking for, as both games have their merits, but personally I prefer Midnight Pool over CueSports.

Re: World of Goo is Officially the Best Wii Game Ever

Shortay

This is the reason I'm so disappointed that we Europeans have to wait 'til Spring and we have to pay full retail price for extra content that I don't even want.

One of the few WiiWare games (that I haven't already downloaded) I actually want and we aren't even getting it...

Re: USA VC Releases: Star Parodier and Break In

Shortay

Great week, Star Parodier is a fantastic shooter and I recommend it even to those who aren't fond of the genre; the music and colourful graphics are really a joy to behold Not that difficult 'til the final few levels either - a great place to start for newcomers to the genre!

Re: Euro Update: Wild West Guns and Defend Your Castle

Shortay

@ Tides: Yeah, pretty much. I'm sure it's an upgrade from the flash game but if bought it I'd feel that I'd regret spending even as small amount as 500 points on something that I could play online for free. Using a cursor worked fine in the flash game too.

Not a bad week by any means though.

Re: Nintendo Barring Small Developers From WiiWare?

Shortay

Maybe the reason that Eternity's Child and many other lesser-known developers who submitted games were accepted because they were some of the first to apply, while this anonymous poster may be applying with hundreds of other unheard-of developers.

Nintendo have announced that there is over 100 games in development; maybe they're got plenty of n00b developers as it is and at this point they are looking for developers that stand out and with a bit more... experience?

Probably an awful theory, but I tried

Re: Star Parodier

Shortay

So this game is suitable for someone who's totally new to shmups? Nothing too difficult? Are there difficulties to choose from?

Re: Blazing Lazers

Shortay

How is the easiest difficulty in this game? I'm pretty new to the SHMUP genre and I want to try to find the easiest possible one to start with as I know the genre is notoriously difficult.

Re: Review: Toki Tori

Shortay

Great review Drake, I think I'll get this as my next WiiWare games. How about you give Two Tribes a ring to see if they can gift it to me?
