How about we go halfway on the Zelda thing and let Next Level be the ones to revive StarTropics?

That's an IP that's always been ripe with potential.

While not entirely unexpected, it still feels wrong to see 3 remakes/enhanced ports, along with the rather uninspired New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Mario Kart 7, make this kind of list. Especially when the 3DS has quality, original 3rd party titles like Virtue's Last Reward, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, Etrian Odyssey IV, Soul Hackers (it is an enhanced port, but seeing as it was never released outside of Japan before April 2013, I'm counting it), Rhythm Thief, Resident Evil: Revelations, Harvest Moon: ANB, Kingdom Hearts: DDD and Code of Princess that can stand beside some of the best Nintendo has to offer.

Even with all of its technical flaws, Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward is my favorite title for the system.

After that, Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, Super Mario 3D Land and Fire Emblem: Awakening round out my top five.

I'm slightly bummed out that we'll have to a few more days for the Project X Zone demo.

Most of the time, I quite like living in the middle of nowhere.

Not so much right now, though.

It'd be nice to get some more of Level-5's recent work for current systems.

Specifically, Time Travelers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney and, yes, Fantasy Life.

It's hard to judge how interested I should be in this game when there's no actual gameplay in the video.

It looks colorful and pretty and everything, but I got a little motion-sickness just watching that video.

If a 3DS version of Legends would be anything like the embarrassingly lackluster 3DS version of Origins, Ubisoft would be better served not bothering.

Etrian Odyssey IV is a game that's worth every penny of that asking price, digital or otherwise. There's dozens, even hundreds, of hours of content in EOIV, and it's a highly-polished experience that's beautiful to look at, a pleasure to listen to and very fun to play once you get into it.

That it manages to be welcoming to newcomers of its particular niche (like me) without sacrificing its obvious hardcore appeal is an achievement that shouldn't be understated. Atlus did (as they always seem to do) a phenomenal job with it.

I'm not sure why anyone is getting worked up over one more port when the game was already revealed to be going multi-platform several months ago. Ubisoft has always been well-known for porting their games, and Rayman especially, to every system under the sun. Heck, they ported Rayman 2 again just two years ago.

Rayman Legends is still coming to Wii U and if it looked fun to you before, it should still look fun to you now. I don't see how a Vita release with some negligible exclusive content should affect that.

This game is what I played instead of F-Zero X back in the day. I managed to get pretty darn good at it too, IIRC.

I'm not expecting much in the way of announcements for this ND, but it'll still be nice to get a little more info on Animal Crossing, Mario & Luigi and SMT IV.

Between Ruffles, Winston Payne's brother and Jin Yuugami, it appears as if there will be at least three prosecutors in this one.

That the way ALttP2 progresses will be significantly different from other Zeldas was the most interesting tidbit I took from that article.

I've been meaning to download Art of Balance TOUCH! for a while now, and this might be a good excuse to do just that.

I'm still using the 2GB card that came with my 3DS, but I'll probably upgrade at some point this year.

Note to self: Next time you participate in the sad act of single-player Mario Party, don't try. At all.

I've already started re-playing the previous games in anticipation.

I'm currently on of the very best cases in the entire series (or at least I think so, anyway) - Farewell, My Turnabout.

I almost went with Mega Man 4 today, but I downloaded Zelda II instead. After finishing Mega Man 3 the other day, I just need a short break from the Blue Bomber.

I already have two of those games and I have Animal Crossing: New Leaf pre-ordered, so I'd obviously love for NoA to offer us a similar deal.

My absolute favorite Super NES game tends to change depending on my mood. The more I re-play ALttP, the higher it rises on my list of favorite Zeldas (and games) ever, but Super Mario World, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger and Yoshi's Island are all basically dead even with it when it comes to my affections. ActRaiser is high up there for me too, even with my hatred of end-of-game boss gauntlets, and I loved (granted, it was the DS remake) Dragon Quest V too.

OH, and Umihara Kawase is great too!

There've been many great Kirby games over the years, but Kirby's Adventure still stands as my favorite. I still replay it every 3 years or so.

Once I am appointed to my position as mayor of Squaresville, my first act will be to commission the construction of the Reset Surveillance Center.

Nintendo just has no regard for how little money I have.

I'm slightly annoyed that Square-Enix even needed Nintendo to pick up the publishing slack for all of us to get this game, but at least it's finally coming.

Though I don't think they're bad games at all, I have been somewhat let-down by the last three portable entries in the series, so I have high hopes that this will something of a return to form for top-down Zelda.

I hope physical copies won't be too hard to find a few months from now; I would buy this immediately if my 3DS backlog wasn't so bloated right now. It's all I can do just to put in an hour or two into Etrian Odyssey IV every day, I just don't think I have the gaming time atm to give Soul Hackers all the tender love it needs.

Viewtiful Joe was really fun despite how much I sucked at it (I never could clear the Magnificent 5 episode), and it's still one of the more visually arresting games I've ever seen.

I traded in my copy several years ago, and it didn't take me long to regret that decision. Someday I'll get around to buying it again.

A little bit of Ace Attorney 2 and Wario Land: SML3, some Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and a lot of Etrian Odyssey IV.

Oh wow, I'd totally given up on the DS game ever seeing a Western release.

I can't remember the last time I used the Check Mii Out, Everybody Votes, Forecast or News channels. They were kinda neat for a while, but the novelty wore off pretty quickly.

Day one purchase for me, should it really come over.

Getting EA to go all in for their cause would probably be better for Nintendo's shareholders, but as a gamer, I'd (much) rather see Nintendo work hard to encourage more indie developers to support the Wii U.

The list of Japan-only 3DS titles I desperately want always seems to growing, so it's great to cross off Project X Zone and now (hopefully) Bravely Default from that list.

Now, back to hoping for localization news on Rocket Slime 3, Dragon Quest VII, Terry's Wonderland 3D, Time Travelers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Monsters Come Out on Friday, Sayonara Umihara Kawase and Fantasy Life.

For Little King's Story and Retro Game Challenge alone, I hope XSEED sticks around for a very long time. That they've published numerous other worthwhile games too almost seems like gravy.

I no longer care that this was a cruel trick, I now want Nintendo to make this a reality.

I'll be playing the heck out of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and wrapping up the final case in Ace Attorney 1.

This story would make for a great Elite Beat Agents level.

At $2, it was certainly one of the easier impulse game purchases I've ever made.

That list is in dire need of some Bionic Commando and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game, but you did get #1 right, at least.

I'll be putting some time into both Aquaria and Fire Emblem: Awakening, as well as replaying Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

Don't you do it Capcom, don't you dare make me fall in love with you again.
