Re: Voice Of Mario Charles Martinet Thanks Fans For All The "Love And Kindness"

RetroBox

Charles Martinet is Mario. That's the voice we know and love, and that's the voice that should have been in the movie. Those of you saying it would be annoying hearing his voice in a two hour movie are just looking for an excuse. I think it's the opposite. Hearing these characters giving long dialogues with well-known Hollywood actors seems awkward.

Re: Review: Easy Come Easy Golf - Everybody's Golf Spiritual Successor Scores A Birdie On Switch

This is a great game and was a release day purchase for me since I am a big Hot Shots Golf and Everybody's Golf fan. This game is fun and is the best golf game on the Switch. The graphics are crisp, clear, and colorful even in handheld mode. The control is precise and easy to use. There are many options, gameplay choices, characters to choose from, outfits, etc. I wish more online opponents were present. I have had to wait a while before someone shows up if at all. I think the game's title and uninspired logo may hurt the success of this otherwise fantastic game.

Re: Talking Point: What Did You Think Of The September 2022 Nintendo Direct?

No mention of Clap Hanz's Easy Come Easy Golf, but I downloaded this since I'm a huge fan of Everybody's Golf and Hot Shots Golf, and this golf game is great. I never played the Apple version. If you're a golf game fan, you will enjoy this. I'm liking it more than Mario Golf Super Rush. I think Nintendo should have hired Clap Hanz to develop their Mario Golf game.

Re: Yes, Folders Are Now On Switch, Here Are Some Quick Tips

I wish you could select a game, push the + button, and in that menu there could be an Add To Group selection, letting you add this individual game to a particular group. This would make things much quicker if you forget to add one of your games to a group you made.

Re: Review: Mario Golf: Super Rush - A Solid Swing, But Par For The Course

RetroBox

I think a 7 underrates this game. It's really fun, and online play is a blast. Nintendo has announced that more courses are coming. I'm enjoying this game tremendously. I do think the graphics could have been better with course details and character animation. It doesn't quite live up to Switch capability there. Also, this is the quickest loading game I've played on the Switch (at least in the physical version). I push the button, and it loads instantly. This game is worth the purchase by all means.

For those of you saying the system is bad, here's a few reasons I love it. I don't know if they are all like this, but my GBM is all metal, even the shoulder buttons are metal. It looks really cool, and the Start and Select buttons are backlit with red lights. The speaker and screen are fantastic for such a little device. It holds a charge longer than any device (gaming or otherwise) I've ever owned. I've had it off for over a year, and I turned it on, and it still played for hours.

Re: Review: Paper Mario: The Origami King - A Puzzling Battle System Can't Kill This Funny Adventure

I am a little perplexed that this game is only getting an average of about an 8 on review websites. I think it's fantastic, and the best in the series, and I have played them all.

First of all, the presentation, environments, and graphics are superb. It has such a unique and detailed look. The designers should be commended with their creativity to give each object a paper look with wonderful textures. The details inside the buildings make the world seem lived-in and helps bring it to life. I can't imagine how much programming was involved just to get the paper filling the holes to look realistic. I think it's unfair to call this aspect of the game not worthwhile, as it's fun to find all of the holes, and you get a sense of accomplishment as you fill each one.

A lot of talk has been made about the combat system, but I find it enjoyable, as the circle adds a puzzle dimension to each battle. It may seem a tad repetitive, but it's unique, never boring, and it certainly isn't worth taking a point away from the final review score of this game.

If this game was an exclusive on any other system, it would get a 10. For me, this game needs much praise, as it's rare these days to get a complete great game with terrific music, superb graphics, and fun and tight gameplay. Every environment has a unique look, and it's pure joy to discover what the designers came up with next in their paper world. I have enjoyed every minute while playing this game. I give it a solid 10.
