I would actually like to see some use of NFC as it just sits there, useless on the GamePad. 2 GamePads would of course be awesome too!

That's an interesting point. I could totally see Nintendo bundling a GamePad with Mario Kart just like they bundled a Wii Wheel with Mario Kart Wii. They said they're working on 6 player games so I definitely expect that Mario Kart will take advantage of that!

Luigi's Mansion and Animal Crossing for me! BTW it's not called Dark Moon over here, just simple old Luigi's Mansion 2.

Yeah, I could've sworn they said it would continue, was hoping for a discounted Star Fox or Mario Kart.

Oh, and now I see a Trine 2 demo too? I've already got it on sale so I'll be passing on that. I'm loving the amount of demos/sales games are getting now!

Already got Trine 2 at 25% off last week so I can't complain about the price reduction and I got Chasing Aurora with the first discount (which was more) so I'm happy to not be ripped off. Of course I'll download the free retail game, can't say no to something free!

How large is the demo?

TiVo - Don't care as I live in Australia (and we will never even get Nintendo TVii.)
Google Maps - Meh, it's not exactly vitally important that I have it.

Well I'm definitely not upgrading any games with lots of stuff I've already done as I hate losing my saves. Which is a problem because I really want to upgrade Majora's Mask but I don't want to lose my save file.

Oooh, a discount sounds good! Hopefully it will run a couple of weeks so I won't miss out by not having my GamePad.

Well, my GamePad is gone for a few weeks now, so it doesn't matter too much for me when it comes out. (curse you eShop for only allowing GamePads to browse you!)

Just realised that some systems will cost more than $1 - WTF! I can only imagine that N64 games will be another $2-$3 each to upgrade, and those are the games I want to upgrade the most. Also, why no mention of N64 games for the VC? It had terrible support on Wii so I was hoping that might finally change. Guess not. GBA is an interesting choice. People always used to complain about the Wii not having GBA games and now people are complaining the Wii U has GBA games? lol

Just a note to everyone, Sonic Racing is actually really good and I have no problems buying both that and Mario Kart. It's a worthy game in its own right.

What I don't like:
paying for Wii VC with Wii U functions (I know I'll end up paying it but I'm not happy about it), new Wii Party game (just give us the ultimate Mario Party 10 I've been wanting for years!), no chance of a HD Majora's Mask now, and waiting for all this awesome stuff!

As much as I love Wind Waker, it appears they've killed the chances of HD Majora's Mask forever now

Maybe in another month Mighty Switch Force will be released in Australia, but then the discount will be over so I won't be buying it. Trine 2 will finally be out this week but I'll wait for the inevitable discount. I'll get the demo of The Cave and I would get Sonic but I already have the full game! Glad I took the plunge even without a demo, it's definitely worth it.

LOL this has been on the Aussie club for quite a while, but we get 2 cloths for 1250 stars I think. Definitely not worth it for some fabric.

You actually get rewards for downloading games? Nothing like that happens in Australia so I couldn't care any less about this news!

I was lucky enough to nab one when it came to the Aussie Club Nintendo (first Club in the western world to get it weirdly enough) nearly a year ago. I've built up another 3000 stars since then so it would be nice for something awesome to pop up again!

How about you actually release this in Australia before discounting it elsewhere!

How is £7.19 more expensive than £7.47? Granted, it's not a huge discount, but it's aimed at Australia/NZ more than Europe.

I'd like to try the ZombiU demo but it's a 1.6GB download so I'll have to hold off on downloading it until I can actually spare the extra internet downloads.

If it didn't release outside NA could you import one of these? There's no way I'm gonna pass this up.

Ah, I see. Guess I will buy a desktop HDD then. I didn't realise that just using any old Y-cable would work though, so thanks for that!

Oh and couldn't you just create another partition on your HDD to be able to use it with the Wii U and a PC?

Thanks for doing this guide NL! So is it completely out of the question to use a HDD with just the single USB cable and no AC supply? I've never seen Y-cable HDDs advertised in stores.

This makes me wonder if future Wii U updates will be on the regular Thursdays? I'm a little concerned about the pricing as the Australian prices will be much higher than these...

I'm glad to see Wii points being transferred, I've got 700 I can't spend on the Wii. This still leaves me with questions though, can you transfer save data like SSBB and MKWii? Can you use an existing SD Card that is already used in the Wii to transfer to Wii U?

The more I think about it the more I'm interested in downloading Wii U games. I hate storing cases and changing discs for consoles, carrying them to a friend's house, etc. The fact that I get free games out of it is even better! The only issues would be the pricing of the games and the fact that my internet wouldn't last long downloading Wii U games...
