Re: Not All Super Smash Bros. Characters Will Make The Leap To Wii U And 3DS

Prof_Clayton

You all have to be thinking logically. Sure they want good characters in the series. But obscure ones will not be making it. Whatever Nintendo has in it's upcoming line up, and is a majir title, that character is in.
Expect Wario to return, because of Game and Wario. Expect Sonic because of Sonic Lost World. Possibly Ness and Lucas because of Earthbound.
But some make no sense.
Lucario, he will most likely be replaced by a similar pokemon. Wether Gen 5 or 6 is difficult to tell, as I'm sure even Nintendo wouldn't know for sure.
Then there's Toon Link. He should be satying, because of TLoZ:WW HD.
I'd say, if anyone should be going out the door, it'd be ROB and the Ice Climbers first, followed by Mr Game and Watch. They can be seen as obscure references and easily forgotten by most.
Another few characters I could see them including are:
Shulk, from Xenoblade, or the protaginast of X.
Possibly, and I mean in a rare event, we could be seeing MewThree with Mewtwo's move set updated.
Chrom replacing Ike, or being added; there's almost no way he's being excluded.
If they need another small character, Bowser Jr has been taking over a lot lately.
And, hopefully, less Star Fox characters, if they all come back it's because a new one is in the works.
Snake will possibly return due to MGS:SE3D. But you never know, he could be easily replaced by a RE:Revelations character.
@Donjwolf From a business perspective, Falco is more recognizeable acrosd the Star Fox series than Wolf.
Oh, and Jigglypuff should be replaced, maybe by Eevee? It does have lots of evolutions, but it's a stretch.
Anyway, those are my thoughts. Please remember to take care when you rip them apart.

Re: Pachter: Nintendo Made The Right Decision In Skipping E3 This Year

Prof_Clayton

I think this is an excellent decision made by Nintendo, for multiple reasons:

During e3, everybody will be checking out the new XBox and Playstation. If you try and discuss what are mainly the same games as the past year (minus a 30 minute spiel on Nintendo Land) you won't hold interest. The other systems will be new, and will immediately claim the attention of millions around the world, which means Pikmin 3 and Mario Kart U stand little chance.
Nintendo also needs to make money, and by hosting a huge expensive presentation, when nobody is watching, seems rather pointless, as it is a loss of money.
In this case, it is a case of the negatives outweighing the positives.
If they are smart, a few days after the other presentations have died down, a Nintendo Direct will come out detailing new games. Otherwise they will just be lost in the shuffle.

Happy Anniversary Nintendo Life! I've been here over a year, and have not found one misleading review, troll (that managed to make it through @tbd), and other things commonly found on other sites. Good job and keep up the excellent work! :3

Re: WayForward Confirms Mighty Switch Force 2 For 3DS

I honestly didn't love this game. The platforming just felt... uninspired and easy. All you had to do was take your time to win, but most people rushed to get a good time.
But the visuals are certainly top-notch as well as the overall production values. But please include a noticeable story and / or tutorial please.
