Re: 80’s Overdrive Comes to North America on 14th December

NintendoRob1977

So excited for this and was scared it was for the Switch at first. All systems have games that come out in their twilight years that don't always get ported over to the next gen system and that's a good thing. I wish this was physical though. But if this games winds up being so hard I will scream bloody murder. Make it hard as hell, but please at least have all or most of the tracks available to play at least for time trials. Some of us have bad brains and dumb fingers... great now I'm sounding as entitled as the Switch owners in this thread, sorry!

Re: Teacher Whose Son Has Leukaemia Fights Back Tears After His Students Buy Him A Switch

NintendoRob1977

Someone bringing up that the teacher should have to pay taxes on the Switch... LMFAO. There were some seriously deranged posts in this thread. What a great thing his students did, and no it's not like they gave him 500 dollars in cash to bribe for better grades, what a seriously pessismistic attitude, but I realize we do live in a world with so much red tape and regulation that sometimes doing things out of the kindness of one's own heart could get you in trouble, but who cares, they did what they did and it's a great thing.

@Heavyarms55

I love test drve 4, 5, and 6 on PS1!!!!!!!! I think those are the three.. Not sure if I have the first three. LOVED LOVED LOVED almost all the arcade racers on the N64 too, vaseline petroleum jelly graphics and all!

Re: Review: Gear.Club Unlimited (Switch)

NintendoRob1977

This game is right up my alley as I love arcade racers and racers of all the sub-genres. I would probably purchase this full price if I had a Switch. I've gotten burned on my last three racing games for PS4 :-/ Even though I've been playing racing games for over 30 years apparently I suck because half the time I can't unlock anything. I miss the days of the game genies and unlock codes. I don't know why developers can't let people at least unlock all the tracks in a game after a year or so being on the market. ::looking at you Shi-in and the Face Racing franchise games GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR::

Re: Review: Mario Party: The Top 100 (3DS)

NintendoRob1977

the mario party series always made me sad cuz I never had anyone to play them with lol. i just have 4 and 5 though. i remember back in the gamecube era buying pac man party or something like that and having no one to play with as well. those games aren't fun to play alone. mary kate and ashley's license to drive was a fun party game that was like mario party and some of my friends would play it just for the fun corny factor though!

Re: Mantis Burn Racing Swerves Onto the Switch Next Week

NintendoRob1977

Tabletop Racing World Tour (i think that's the name, havent played it in a few months) is a good top down racer that could be ported to the Switch. (was it on the wii-u?) . I'm a huge racing game fan (mostly arcade racers and arcade, sometimes sim if it's not too simmy) but tabletop racers are always hit or miss for me.. this one looks decent.

Re: Review: Rocket League (Switch eShop)

NintendoRob1977

But But But, it's NOT like MARIO KAAAAAAAAART! (even though they are two totally different genres). It's hard seeing replies here and other places because of attitudes like that. "OMG, this racing game SUCKS. BACK to MARIO KART! :/) even though both kinds of racers are completely different. totally bizarre, but so Nintendo-racist.

Re: Review: Rocket League (Switch eShop)

NintendoRob1977

I want this game... Something keeps holding me back. I want the Mario themed cars, but don't have a Switch yet and i've put off buying it on PS4 because I missed out on it being free for PS plus a while back.

that said, you switch owners NEED to convince Gun Media to port Friday the 13th to the switch. OMFG. I havent played a multiplayer game as much as that one, it's SOOOO good (so bad too, but SO good!).

Re: Review: Monster Jam: Crush It! (Switch)

NintendoRob1977

I liked excite truck and excite bots for wii. didn't like the motion controls, but it wasn't too bad. (i dont remember now but wasnt there an option for no motion control on excite truck!? i could be wrong) i wish they allowed use of the classic controller i would have been more into them. This game though I think was on sale for 2.49 with PS Plus for PS4 last week. I still didnt pick it up, will wait to see if i can find a physical version for super cheap at some point. I've gotten burned with a lot of racing games lately so i'm a little hesistant.

Re: Yoshiaki Koizumi Says Non-Traditional Nintendo IPs Are Bound For Switch Next Year

NintendoRob1977

I've sell one of my kidneys to get a Switch for a new F-Zero. (or a new MK proper), but maybe a Nintendo Kart could be fun, but I hope they do new IPs, although most of the recent ones haven't piqued my interest too much. Is picking up Splatoon on WiiU worth it right now, are people still playing? The only SKU for Switch I am currently interested in is the one with the neon green and pink joy-cons, and it comes with Splatoon 2, but i've never even played the first one.

Re: Nintendo of America Adds Some Halloween-Themed Switch eShop Discounts

NintendoRob1977

Less of a sale, and more like you just don't notice the sales tax. I will say this though, I HATE how games get so devalued SO fast on so many platforms. I bought RedOut on release for 40 bux for PS4 (i think it's the same price for Switch..?) but less than a month later it's now 19.99 at retail. Same for WipeOut Omega Collection, same with so many games, it makes it not worth buying around release time. I mean I get that they drop the cost immediately sometimes to make more people available to play online, but RedOut for PS4 still has like no people playing... anyone have it for the switch? How is the online? Games too hard anyway and I can't even unlock the first cup :/ it's my favorite game genre and the company can't even throw us a bone to have at LEAST all or most tracks unlocked at least for time trials!? I just want to experience all the tracks. I know, wah wah wah. but i work hard for my money and hate seeing it wasted in shoddy game development.

Re: Talking Point: An Era Ends As Nintendo Continues to Ignore 3D on the 3DS

NintendoRob1977

It just hit me that I don't think i've ever seen a 3D movie proper... I've seen those old school ones with the blue and red glasses a gazlllion years ago, but not an actual 3d movie in the theatre. Is it really 3D-ish? It always felt gimmicky and none of the movies that have ever came out would be something I would even pay to see.

I have a few PS3 games that are supposedly 3D, but I don't have a 3D tv. I did purchase a projector a while back that claimed to be 3D capable, but it never worked with the games I was using it for on the PS3, felt a little burned... The 3DS was the first time I ever saw 3D in actual 3D (and even though I love it it never felt all THAT amazing, but i enjoyed it). I was happy about the 3DS' 3D because the Virtual Boy never appeared 3D to me in any way shape or form, I thought maybe I just couldn't SEE 3D until I got the 3DS.

Friday the 13th Part III was in 3D, but in a really weird way that seemed more based on camera tricks, but pretty cool movie.

I hope people make homebrew games in 3D in the future for the 3DS.
It's a beautiful system and I am not yet ready for the Switch's rubbishware. When Mario Kart 10 comes out for Switch, i'll buy a switch. Or an F-Zero. Nintendo's others offerings have left me disappointed, including the new mario. Not a fan of sandbox mario games.

Now please, don't reply with nasty remarks and name calling like some people did yesterday when I expressed that something wasn't my cup of tea. We can't ALL salivate non stop over Nintendo. Sometimes Nintendo fails us.

Re: Rumour: LEGO Dimensions Has Apparently Been Killed Off

NintendoRob1977

quick question... that skylanders racing game for Wii U.. i see it on sale for super cheap at gamestops... i don't own any figurines, nor plan to ever buy any, but are there a few tracks on that game you can play without any of the toys? Even if it's just a few tracks I'm up to pick it up... reminds me a little bit of sega and sonic racing transformed which is one of my favorite games (although i can't unlock half the characters )
