wow, thanks for posting this video!!!! i remember buying pilotwings for snes when it first came out and being both fascinated by it, but also disappointed because it seemed to slow and very light on content. i should give pilotwings resort another shot though.
I've had this on PS4 for a long time, it's actually quite fun. And ugh, so sick of people constantly comparing any racing game on Nintendo consoles to Mario Kart :/ Yes, this is a Kart game, but still.
This game is a major turn-off for me as a Mario fan. no thanks. i hope it does well though (im sure it will). I hated Mario 64 and Sunshine, but loved all the other Mario games.
Racing games are my fav. genre, and the Wii U was TERRIBLE with the selection it got. MK8, Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed, and a decent Need for Speed and a few indies. lame. I can't even sell my Wii U because it's my MK8 machine!
Part of me wishes this wasn't discovered until YEARS from now, but of course we do now live in a world where everything is expose instantaneously... somewhat bittersweet, but this was a pretty cool thing.
I remember when blockbuster went out of business, but they only had sports games, and they weren't even pennies on a dollar... although i think i only went to one store in lower manhattan so maybe it was all picked over... but it was mostly junk.
I grew up on the NES, but I just can't get into these games for some reason. Ms. Pac Man is pretty much all i can stomach from that era. It's shocking to me how often they are peddled out for quick cash grabs.
Toys R Us had inflated video game prices even in the 80s and 90s before online shopping... I did buy a number of games from there though. Vivid amazing memory of snagging a ticket for Super Mario Brothers 3 when it first came out and it's where I got my first NES, the deluxe set with the power pad, i was so excited. We were poor and lived in the projects but my grandparents who raised me really fed my video game addiction as a kid, for better for for worse the jury is still out on that.
I've not experienced the awfulness that some of you talk about with Gamestop. I've frequented dozens of Gamestops in NYC and most of the time my experiences have been really positive. HOWEVER, see that virtual boy in my avatar? A few years ago I lent it to a gamestop employee in good faith who I used to chat up a lot and when I came back to pick it up, it no longer worked. I didn't think to test it out when I got it back, but months later when I did decide to test it out because I was thinking about selling it, it didn't work, and the gamestop (the one on 14th street in union square) that I lent it to was closed down. If the off chance any former employees of that gamestop is reading this... GRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Also, had the Virtual Boy NOT been red it would have sold more. It should have been grey or black at the time. Perhaps, dark blue. The red color DOOMED it.
I'm a stickler when it comes to my consoles colors. I purchased the new 3ds and HAD to have the wooden mario plates. <3 it looks so good. My DS Lite had to be the ice blue one <3 Strangely, my favorite SP is the black one.

Stop acting like video games are xxx adult porn (hells people can view all they want online for free anyway). Your moral judgements come across as very bizarre, like your projecting or sublimating in a sense. Take a step back. We all have our preferences and the video game industry is better for that. I tend to like games that are more G rated to be honest with you, but that's just my preference. I do hope Nintendo releases a baby blue and white console just for you though hahaha
your posts always make me laugh hahahhaha. Seriously though, you have to realize people have different tastes. Some of us are against baby-games! AHHHH
i'm going to come across as a total whiner... but this game was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO beyond hard on the Wii U., i thought excessively so. I am having the same problem with Redout that I just bought on the PS4. (it's coming out for the Switch too, but I don't have a switch yet, although I do want to get one). When games are so hard that you can barely experience like 10-20 % of the content, I get mad.
That said, I still cannot find ANYONE who can help me unlock all the characters in Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed. Another one of those games where the difficulty level to unlock is insane, although at least with that you can play all the tracks which is mostly what I care about. Being only able to play a few tracks sucks. And no... no amount of practice is going to help me.

And the lovely Fast Facing Neo which is so beyond ridiculously difficult that I wrote it off after a few weeks as utter garbage.

Also I suck at games in general and the arcade versions were SO MUCH HARDER. I guess im a tad biased.

I am scared at the ignorance young people are putting out there these days about certain games. PLEASE stop re-writing history.
