Re: 1-2-Switch Looks Set To Include At Least 20 Minigames

Nin10dad

I honestly feel Nintendo have missed a trick by not pre installing this on every Switch.
That way, people, wherever they were, whoever they were with would be able to show the uniqueness of the JoyCons and the appeal of the Switch, essentially causing CONSTANT ADVERTISING

Re: Fire Emblem Warriors Arrives on Switch & New Nintendo 3DS This Fall

Nin10dad

Having pumped hundreds of hours into Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U, I purchased Legends at launch, mainly for that compass clock. Maybe put 5 hours into that version, although it played absolutely fine on my New 3DS. Lent it to a mate who only has a standard 3DS, he returned it the next day saying it was barely playable.
I think that is why it's a New 3DS exclusive.
Also, think we will see this model more and more now. Encourage people to either buy a New 3DS or a Switch

Re: Investors React Negatively to Nintendo Switch Launch Details

Nin10dad

If I was a big cheese at Nintendo, I would have studied the reaction to the reveal very carefully over the weekend and, although price is set in stone now, I would have come out this morning with solid detail on online pricing and benefits, any kind of planned VC news, and more launch titles.
That's what people want to hear. I know Reggie has given his usual PR speech about how more details will be revealed in time, but I honestly think actions are needed if they want Switch to be the success it needs to be.
But then what do I know about running an international multi billion dollar company, I only manage a chain of 8 pubs in little old Blighty 😜

Re: Amazon UK Confirms Time for Nintendo Switch Pre-Orders

Nin10dad

I hope Nintendo UK store will open up pre orders directly after the event. If not will put in an order through amazon and through the affiliate link. An ambassador like program would be awesome. Not so as to get the console earlier, just to get a pre order guaranteed.

Re: Editorial: The Idea of VR on Nintendo Switch is Interesting, But Big Questions Remain

Nin10dad

I finally got round to checking out what all the fuss was about over Xmas, tried out Oculus rift at a relatives. Honestly, it was a LOT of fun but when he told me how much he'd spent optimising his rig, my jaw dropped. Incredible amounts of money. At that will always deter me. If Nintendo can find an affordable way to deliver that much fun, I'm all for it.
As my misses said at the time when hinted about getting PSVR, 'you can either have that or a Switch in March'
No debate.
So excited for 4AM

Re: Nintendo UK Has Begun Contacting Switch Hands-On Event Winners

Nin10dad

I'm absolutely gutted I didn't get an email. Whilst I'm aware that it's completely random, I feel with, the amount of money I spend on Nintendo products, I was due a little bit of karma come my way!!
Also even more frustrating as will be staying in London on Friday to attend the ballet for my girlfriends birthday anyway!!
Oh well, guess I will have to wait until March along with everybody else.

Re: Yooka-Laylee Rattles Away From Wii U Release

Nin10dad

I'm genuinely happy about this! Since backing this project I have acquired a PS4 so was already thinking about getting it on that anyway! Depending on how far off the switch release will be, it would be awesome to be able to play this anywhere anytime.

The Wii U is dead, long live the Switch

Re: Gen II Roll-Out Begins in Pokémon GO

Nin10dad

I'm glad they're doing it like this, just need an Aerodactyl from a 10k egg, 4 ma hops for a machamp(obviously will get it eventually with buddy system) the regional Pokémon and legendarys so maybe I can complete gen 1 before all the new critters are running wild

Re: Limited Stock Brings Out the Inevitable NES Mini Scalpers

Nin10dad

Pre ordered mine from the official U.K. Nintendo store as soon as I got the email saying they were available to pre order, also ordered an extra controller! The controller arrived yesterday, the console hasn't as if yet arrived. Tracking info says estimated delivery 15-18th November!!! Wtf Nintendo

Re: Editorial: The Wii U Has Been Nintendo's Lowest Selling Home Console; It Deserved Better

Nin10dad

I've loved my Wii U like a child. Pre ordered, collected at launch (God, the queues....) have purchased every AAA game and played them all to completion, have dabbled with indies to some extent and really enjoyed my experiences.
I've also been the 1st person to sing the praises of the console, 3 friends of mine have purchased Wii U's a result of my insesent glorifying of that little fisher price tablet!
Along with my 3DS, I've loved being able to play all the Zelda games on one generation, and I've just played 12 races of Mario Kart 8 with the misses.
However, with all due respect, I now say RIP my friend, it's been a great 4 years.
Yooka Laylee will be a glorious swan song

Re: Nintendo Switch Will Be a Single-Screen Experience

Nin10dad

I think for games like Zelda and Xenoblade, the 2nd screen was an incredibly useful feature. Not just for maps but in the case of Zelda, switching items on the fly made for extremely seamless gameplay.
I know my misses is really upset about the loss of a 2nd screen as when we play MK8 or Mario 3D World, she will play solely on the game pad as she's of the tablet generation and hasn't really gamed before the Wii U so likes having the screen 12 inches from her face.
