Amazing to see this game’s still getting some love. I put an unhealthy amount of hours into Q1 and Q2 when I was a kid. The Team Fortress mod is still the most fun I’ve ever had playing multiplayer.

This game wasn’t really on my radar, but it is now. Hope a demo comes along soon.

Have they reduced the amount of cheese?

I only play 2 or 3 games at a time. Usually a longer JRPG, alongside shorter games and an indie or two. I remove the games I’ve finished, so I always have plenty of space.

The character designs grew on me very quickly, I think the game looks great. I still can’t decide whether to buy it or not though as the game is so short, but I’ve really enjoyed the demo. The multiplayer should be fun too.

Excellent condition, I always look after these things and as others have mentioned, I don’t allow my son to use it handheld. I also rarely take it anywhere too though, as whilst it is portable, these things are getting bigger and bigger and becoming more of a hassle to carry around. I miss the days of shoving a 3DS in my pocket before leaving the house, but on the other hand I do appreciate the extra power and bigger screen.

I’m not a fan of the series, but I understand how stupidly popular it is so if it finally runs well on a Nintendo console that can only be a good thing. Glad to hear it.

If I had more time, I would like to replay some games but I can never keep up with my backlog. I definitely see the value in it though, especially if it’s a game you haven’t played for a long time. Good article.

I’m amazed Nintendo haven’t made official ergonomic joycons. I’d love to ditch my grip for some proper comfy joycons, but these unofficial ones never seem to get it quite right. I don’t even care that Nintendo would charge a fortune for them, take my money.

Tough choice… Personally, I really like the character art, I think the game looks stunning. It being a remake is very disappointing though… But the lower price and online multiplayer is tempting… I think my son would enjoy it too.

The thing that puts me off the Star Fox games is the lack of content in the campaign. This mode might squeeze a few more hours out of me but it still doesn’t look like there’s much content.

If there’s one thing I don’t miss, it’s PS1 era graphics, yet this is strangely alluring…

Ok, I might have to give this a try… I just find the game itself so boring though. I’m impressed that they keep adding to it, but I still find it dull after a couple of hours.

Still working my way through Persona 5 Royal, which I’m enjoying even more now that it looks much nicer in handheld. I’m also playing Ori and the Blind Forest, and I need to squeeze in some more runs on Hades.

@TheWokesterGamer Excellent advice. I overlooked indies for a long time, then around a year ago I started hoovering them up because they’re so cheap in the sales and honestly, it’s made me fall in love with gaming again. Some of the best games I’ve ever played.

@Anti-Matter Try it. You know you want to. Be warned, it can be addictive.

Only downside IMO is that the battles are very short compared to the proper physical game. Just as you feel like they’re starting to get good, it’s over.

Loved the first Shenmue on the Dreamcast, one of my all time favourite games. However, I played the XBOX release of the second game many years later, on the 360, and even back then it hadn’t aged well. The controls were awful. I know it won’t happen but a modern remake of the whole trilogy would be amazing.

I had a quick look at Persona 5 this morning and it didn’t look like a big difference to me. Now I’ve given it a proper try, it definitely looks much better. Really happy because it was looking pretty rough before.

Persona 5 looks a little sharper. Not a huge difference. Still hoping for a proper Switch 2 version.

Great news. I’d been praying for a Persona 5 update because it looks rough handheld. This might do the trick, looking forward to trying it later. Though as someone else mentioned, it would be better if you could turn this on for particular games rather than just being on or off.

I replaced my original black 3DS with the Fire Emblem 3DS XL. I later sold them both and I regret this decision! It’s probably my favourite console. I used to travel around a lot back then so it was great to carry it around and exchange data with StreetPass.

@JohnnyMind That’s a good idea! We do indeed have two Switches.

I will be continuing Persona 5 Royal and Hades. Might even throw in a bit of Overwatch.

It’s a shame to see there’s separate games for each European language. I enjoy playing the NSO games in French, but if I buy the French version of this my son won’t understand it, and I’m not paying for it twice.

Intrigued to see how this will run on S2. There’s some fairly big open areas in that trailer, with lots going on, explosions, etc.
