I haven't played a Pokemon game in a while, and I'm clearly in the minority here, but I loved giving my Pokemon nicknames. Made me feel more attached to them. I never named legendaries though. I think I thought it was disrespectful or something?
Snagged this classic earlier this year shortly before it was announced for Switch, and man, what a game. Glad this gem got some attention from the Backlog Club!
Not gonna lie, as much as excited as I am for this game, that footage doesn't look so hot, especially for being PS5 gameplay. Hopefully it'll get a lot more polish before release.
Sad to hear y'all haven't been wowed with Earthbound so far. Maybe I'm just too easily pleased, but I absolutely adored the game playing it for the first time a couple years ago. Its zany humor and overall goofiness, its music, and just about everything in that game were phenomenal in my eyes. I get that not every game is for everyone, but I hope that as you continue through it your opinions change!
Just had a chance to try this out, and it might just be my favorite gamemode yet. There's a very unique strategy to it, no matter which side you're on.
Has anyone else noted how the first three notes of Zelda's Lullaby play during the last scene with the floating castle?? If you ask me, that seems to be the most important thing in the whole trailer. HMMM....
For being fanmade, that was really good, especially the music and special effects. The CGI work with Ridley and the bits with the morph ball were also really impressive. It's gotta be hard to walk in that suit, though.
I’ve been playing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate recently, and that’s given me some real insight into this very topic. For me, it absolutely depends on the game. Or the genre. Or whether it’s online or solo. Fighting games (like Smash), I absolutely suck at, and I just can’t enjoy them, much as I’ve tried with Smash. Same goes for sports games. RPGs, Action, and platformers, though, I’d consider myself fairly above average. And as such, those are the games I love. Additionally, it seems I’m really bad at online games. Gimme a hard boss fight in Hollow Knight, Breath of the Wild, or games along those lines and I’ll put up a solid fight. But plop me in a PVP battle in Call of Duty, Pokémon, or whatever, and I’ll be out like a light in a minute.
If you think that's impressive, I'd be willing to part with this Magikarp-shaped cloud for the same price... No telling what'll happen in shipping, though.
Holy cow, I never realized how much potential the music maker dealio in Mario Paint had until watching that video of "Africa". Reminds me I wanted to try that kind of thing in Mario Maker 2!
I always thought Blue Fire looked more like a 3D version of Hollow Knight than a Zelda game. To be honest, it seems like any fantasy game about a guy running around with a sword is apparently "Zelda-inspired" these days.
Looking forward to seeing the final product! Can't wait!
I'll probably be finishing up Super Mario Galaxy via Super Mario 3D All-Stars, maybe with a little Sunshine thrown in there. I still really can't get into 64. Dunno why. I just can't.
Is it just me, or does the way Zelda walks in the second half look utterly absurd? It's like she's trying to stop herself from falling over all the time.
Excellent! It looks really fabulous but would be a poor fiscal decision on Lego's part until we get another Metroid game.
Also, it looks like we get Zero Suit Samus once it reaches 9,900 supporters, so that's a nice thing to look forward to.
Picked up Super Mario 3D All-Stars last week, so I'll probably be bouncing between Super Mario 64 and Sunshine. Galaxy has a very special place in my heart, so I'm debating between saving it for last or diving straight in.

Conway's Game of Life, given Pokemon flair. I dig it.
Re: Developers Don't Take Kindly To EA's Single-Player Gag On Twitter
I've pretty much played nothing but single-player games my entire life. Honestly, while I don't agree, it's still a pretty good joke.

Ah, yes! Another stealth game on Switch! We need more of those.
Or more particularly, one stealth series in particular... glares at Konami
Re: Can You Name All This Nintendo Hardware?
By Jove, I clearly spend more time playing the games that run on the system than looking at the system itself. I need to reconfigure my priorities.
