@GameOtaku If I spend money on a game and put 30 or so hours into the game and finish it, then I've got my money out of it. What's the point in playing it again and what's the point in getting pennies on the dollar back from reselling it? My time is worth more than the effort to resell a game. In the grand scheme of things games are cheap throwaway entertainment. I also don't buy movies on blu-ray anymore. There was a time that every Tuesday was new DVD release day. My preorders would be delivered. I had 100s of movies in my collection. Then I realized WTF was the point? All this junk taking up all this space. Reselling them was a waste of time since you get practically nothing for it compared to what you spend so why bother with physical anymore.
@StevenG In 20 years there will be something else. I never go back to old games that I've already played through. I never buy physical anymore. Waste of physical space to store boxes, waste of materials to make those boxes, waste of shelf space at stores and warehouses to hold those boxes. Its just a waste of everything overall and not worth it.
@Fido007 Not true. When you set it up you generate a set of recovery codes. You save those someplace secure. If you lose your phone or it dies you use a recovery code to authenticate then setup your new device.
@Rayquaza2510 SMS is not secure. Steam uses its own built in authenticator as does battlenet. Nintendo just doesn't have its own which is why it uses google. Google auth can be used used by other companies as well (reddit, ubisoft, facebook, etc).
Digital only here. I started out buying some physical but its damn annoying having to swap games. On PS4 I have quite a bit physical but stopped buying around a year ago. Next gen it will be digital only, I will NEVER buy another physical game. The amount of wasted physical space, the wasted materials making boxes and discs, its a complete waste. I don't buy games to share with friends nor do I buy games to then resell them for pennies on the dollar later. Physical games should be killed off. Next gen consoles should have been designed without drives. It is going to happen eventually.
Doesn't surprise me, they kept selling the horribly under power 3ds systems for a really long time before the switch. Nintendo thrives on under powered hardware, they never push the envelope.
Doesn't matter what fans think. The movies pull in massive money, this is all that matters.
I also find it absolutely hilarious when "fans" dissect the movies and then go on to say Mandalorian is good. Its not really that good, its entertaining, but I wouldn't say I'm aching each week for the next episode. Its well put together, it looks good, but overall, not that much.
Interesting stuff, but wondering if it ever did go to market, what would it have cost? How bad would motion sickness had been with that low of a resolution? I can't imagine many people would have physically been able to use it with that resolution.
Hopefully they change the things that really suck about the first one. The negatives to me outweigh the positives and are the main reason I stopped playing. Too annoying.
I'll buy if they are maybe $60 total for all six games in a pack (10 bucks a pop). But we all know it won't be. They'll probably charge $60 per title. Right now I think they are 13 a piece on steam.
Why? I replayed zelda when it was released last month and finished it in a few days of on and off play time. Beat it quite a few times in the old NES days so it brought back memories and I tended to remember where everything was at from decades ago. Its not really that hard of a game.
I really want a slimmed down dock from Nintendo. Right now the only place I have a spot for the dock is in front of my TV off to the side. This is not anyway ideal. In a dangerous spot to be knocked over, blocks the bottom corner of the tv. I want a slimmed down dongle like device from nintendo that I can place out of the way. When I want to connect switch to tv simply plug the USB C into the switch and lay it flat. But I will not buy a non-official one, too much risk for something that should not be but is.
I played the 2nd demo since the status carries over to the full game. I just hope the quality of it is maintained throughout the entire game instead of just being in the beginning and then tapering off near the end. Already preorder so ready to go.
@Captain_Gonru I took my switch to Vegas with me a few weeks ago and had no problem connecting to the hotel wifi. It too required terms acceptance. When selecting the hotel wifi it automatically forwarded me to a web page at the hotel to enter my room number and name and submit the form. I had no problem doing this on the switch. After connecting to the wifi the web page closed and I have internet.
Have the SNES Classic, hacked it to dual boot into the NES classic firmware. So now I have both. Click a "game" and it reboots into NES, click another "game" and it reboots back to SNES. Best of both worlds.
I wonder how many customers have a PS4 AND a switch. I think the number is probably pretty high. I'm not so sure the switch and ps4 are competing products even though they are both console. I use my switch about 95% of the time as a portable and my ps4 as my main console.

Re: Video: The DOOM And DOOM II Ports Are Now "Must-Buy Purchases" After The Recent Patch
It is good, but after playing it for so many years with a mouse and keyboard it is extremely difficult with the joycons.

Re: The Original DOOM, DOOM II And DOOM 3 Are Available On Switch Now
Nintendo of America has the pages for them but there is nothing there. They come back in search as well but the pages don't have content.
https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/doom-1993-switch/
https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/doom-2-classic-switch/

Oh wait, if you click on the link directly it goes there, if you go through the eshop it doesn't work for some reason.
