Last time I saw something like this was when the Wii U Fatal Frame (which was digital only) failed to make into the NA eShop's top sellers for its launch week.

I'd rather they make a sister franchise to Zelda, sharing a lot of the base gameplay design but with a futuristic setting instead.

I really can't believe this hasn't happened already, they're sitting on a goldmine.

That's a shame, it looked like a fun silly game to play with friends.

This is the only way it makes sense to release the platforms. No one is going to buy both the handheld and console if they released simultaneously, especially if they're gonna play the same games. 3DS is older, so it gets replaced first, then Wii U a year later.
The handheld will have a much easier time selling since it has virtually no competition and Nintendo always dominated the market. Selling the console will be much harder, so releasing it first could poison the handheld's chances if it underperformed.
Either way, the games will be the same, so as long as one of them is successful, the other platform is also guaranteed to have a constant stream of new games.

The only things VC needs are slightly lower prices, more releases (of games people actually care about, hopefully) and GC games in the future.
Also, where's the Pokemon games on Virtual Console, Nintendo? If trading is the problem, just make them into 3D Classics with local wireless connection.

@JaxonH 3G and 3U are the same game, I think you meant to say MH3G/3U, MH4 and MH4G/4U.
The PSP had MH Freedom, MH Freedom 2, MH Freedom Unite and MH Portable 3rd. There's no reason they can't release MH5 and MH5G/5U on 3DS (or New 3DS).
Capcom needs all the money they can get, and just quickly making another MH game is a riskless move that's guaranteed to bring a lot of money. Not to mention that the 3DS is the cheapest platform they could choose to develop for, and we all know they don't like to spend too much on MH, despite it being such a huge cash cow for them.

The biggest issue with the Other M platform heels was the fact that they clearly wouldn't fit inside the boots of the Power Suit. This design takes that even further, there's no way any of that would fit inside the armor. Not to mention that it does not look futuristic at all.
The Zero Suit design is fine as long as you use the original design from Metroid Zero Mission (which even has concept art specifically warning not too make the heels too big).

It makes no sense to go back to the Vita at this point, it's a dead platform. If you were talking about MH choosing between the successors of the current handhelds you would have a point.
I'm not expecting Capcom to hold out for almost two years until the NX comes out, so Monster Hunter 5 will probably be a New 3DS exclusive. Wouldn't be that weird to have two generations on the same platform, they did release Monster Hunter games covering three generations on the PSP, after all.

No. Super Metroid doesn't need a remake, the game hasn't aged poorly at all.
Metroid 2 is the one that needs to be remade, that game is borderline unplayable for anyone that didn't play it back then, or masochists. Seriously, it's a Metroid game with no map. In black and white.

I wish I could say I believed underperforming mobile titles would make these companies stop ruining their franchises with awful mobile games, but that would be too good. More likely that they'll find some stupid reason to invest even more money in it.

Sad to see that they haven't shown any interest in having VC multiplayer. I really don't see how that wouldn't be a good thing for them, considering how huge the Pokemon franchise is.

A spiritual successor to the 2D Castlevanias would be great in these days where both "Metroid" and "vania" seem to be missing from the genre they defined.

I really hope the future of Monster Hunter in the west has nothing to do with how this game performs, and I'm a little afraid of the negative impact this game might cause on someone who never played any other Monster Hunter game.

A green Wii U would've been a sure buy for me, but a black one with white scribbles? Not so much.
Don't see much point in getting this, unless it costs $350.

It's probably just the black one, but fingers crossed for a green Wii U.
Wind Waker HD + a green Wii U would be the final push for me to get one.

That game looked less like Metroid Prime and more like Bomberman Act Zero. A dark and edgy generic FPS with "Mega Man" in the title is not what I want.

I'd like to see how they'd handle that.

It wouldn't work for a Fire Emblem game, but I'd be interested in a game with a similar gameplay but with something like a Cyberpunk theme.

That looks really weird, but I really wish Nintendo would bring back the color-coded buttons.

I don't want the 3DS to suffer from piracy and the players to suffer from hackers, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be happy if they found a way to disable the region lock.

People thought it looked like the other NSMB games? Most of what I've seen so far about this game reminded me of Super Mario World.

Looks like a 360 controller with a D-Pad that doesn't suck. Hopefully now I can stop using the 360 controller on PC games.

Add to that: Wii U Metroid 5, 3DS Metroid 2 remake and a new Pokemon Snap for whatever the Wii U online store will be called.

There is no way it is a 2D Mario game, they're already doing one for the 3DS.
