It's a welcome distraction, after a few minutes I thought "meh"...but then an hour flew by. Looks like you'll need to complete "10 things" in Free Roam to unlock mirror
@ozwally noted thanks. I don’t have much choice though, I got in late as I though all preorders were going live 8th April inc retailers…by the time I found out the 8th was Nintendo shop only it was too late
Despite spending f*** knows what on the eShop in 8 years, playing 1000s of hours (50 for the US? spent that on a single game), being a continuous online customer since that was released…no invite email for me….what on earth was the criteria then?!
Managed to get a preorder from Very (had to get a bundle) but feels a bit bittersweet, like I didn’t come up to nintendos standards to own a Switch 2…
But I don’t have a great history with “sequels/next game on the same console”. I never bought Majora’s Mask and then just didn’t get into it when I did play it. Same with Skyward Sword.
Final Fantasy Legend on Gameboy was my first FF game. Me and mates had no idea what to do, then I let a mate borrow it and he came back absolutely loving it. Turns out there was a guide to the first world in the back of the manual!
After that was Mystic Quest for SNES, a watered down FF game, but I still have good memories of that.
I just remember being really confused about the numbering on the games across regions…
Ah the memories…had a paper round at the time this came out. Must have read the NMS review about 1,000 times until I got the game a few weeks later. What a game!
I moaned about the price a few days ago…and then went a bought it earlier today 😂 What a game…absolutely love it, back to learning all the chains.
True (and boring!!) story. Back in about 2000 I bought a white Japanese saturn and radiant silvergun for about £70, played it a few times and couldn’t get into it so sold it a few weeks later for the same price…dang
@belmont it’s £10 on the Xbox store, pretty sure that’s how much it was when it came out in 2011. I’d have double dipped if it was the same price on Switch. Definitely one to add to the wishlist
@Jokerwolf But who says you’re entitled to the full breadth of content? What law? You’re entitled to what the provider of the content says you’re entitled to. Being entitled to something isn’t the same as finding a hack to do something, do you think SEGA should have provided all the net code for Phantasy Star Online on DC when it shutdown?
@Jokerwolf Why? It’s a service they provide, it’s not a right. They’ve provided the service for many years and are now closing it, providing the means for others to run it could actually compromise their own codebase/infrastructure (they may have the current code running in other titles).
I get that it’s irritating to not have control, but sometimes you just don’t
My biggest regret was buying a black GameCube with Luigi’s Mansion and Rogue Squadron 2 (was that a launch title?), playing it for about a week then selling it on eBay for cost price. It was 3 years later after launch that I re bought a GC and realised what I’d missed…
I picked Kirby up this morning and me and my 7 year old daughter are playing it co-op while my other younger daughter jumps up and down and points to things. Beautiful game so far.
After hours I’m playing Super Castlevania 4 on the Castlevania Collection
@SolidSnake684 if you can check PDS out it’s one of the most beautiful, atmospheric, haunting RPGs I’ve ever played. One of the best battle systems I’ve ever played too. Truly one of a kind

@BulkSlash I love the big box Japanese n64 games, think I’m now 50/50 with PAL/JAP games now

Re: Nintendo Expands The Switch Online SNES And NES Library With Four More Games
@Baker1000 those NES Remix games were my favourite Wii U games, so much fun
Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd January (Europe)
Shout out to Strike! Ten Pin Bowling. Made by my mates! So I’m obviously biased here but definitely check it out.
I remember us as teenagers (about a million years ago...) and he got an Amiga 600 and was endlessly working on AMOS stuff for games.
I’m really proud of him and his brother for getting their game on the eshop

Re: Talking Point: What's Happened To Switch's NES And SNES Games, Nintendo?
@1UP_MARIO good to hear. I’ve got a single power and hdmi cable shared between several mini consoles, all no more than a few seconds plug and play
Re: Talking Point: What's Happened To Switch's NES And SNES Games, Nintendo?
I assume everyone has completed all 20 SNES games?
Re: Talking Point: What's Happened To Switch's NES And SNES Games, Nintendo?
@1UP_MARIO do you have the NES and SNES mini plugged in? I do like the convenience of the games being available on the switch
Re: Talking Point: What's Happened To Switch's NES And SNES Games, Nintendo?
@antonio2244 the SNES DK trilogy will probably be sold as a classic collection for £10!

Re: Sega Ages Line Struggling To Appeal In Japan, Interest Overseas Better Than Expected
@waluigifan1 works both ways though, people need to buy the games for Nintendo to carry on with them
Re: Sega Ages Line Struggling To Appeal In Japan, Interest Overseas Better Than Expected
@RetroTyGuy +1 for this. Konami got criticised for the Arcade Classics Collection but at least they were about £2 a game.
Re: Sega Ages Line Struggling To Appeal In Japan, Interest Overseas Better Than Expected
@MattFox Being bought by Nintendo wouldn’t be such a bad thing. They at least know how to treat their past IP
Re: Review: Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection - Perfectly Functional, But Not Much Else
@John_Deacon I wondered about the sound too. I've got Gradius PS4 Archive Arcades and the sound is a lot less "clangy".
Re: Sega Sorry That It "Betrayed" Fans, Hopes To Win You Back With A New Game Announcement This September
