Despite spending f*** knows what on the eShop in 8 years, playing 1000s of hours (50 for the US? spent that on a single game), being a continuous online customer since that was released…no invite email for me….what on earth was the criteria then?!

Managed to get a preorder from Very (had to get a bundle) but feels a bit bittersweet, like I didn’t come up to nintendos standards to own a Switch 2…

Final Fantasy Legend on Gameboy was my first FF game. Me and mates had no idea what to do, then I let a mate borrow it and he came back absolutely loving it. Turns out there was a guide to the first world in the back of the manual!

After that was Mystic Quest for SNES, a watered down FF game, but I still have good memories of that.

I just remember being really confused about the numbering on the games across regions…

Ah the memories…had a paper round at the time this came out. Must have read the NMS review about 1,000 times until I got the game a few weeks later. What a game!

I moaned about the price a few days ago…and then went a bought it earlier today 😂 What a game…absolutely love it, back to learning all the chains.

True (and boring!!) story. Back in about 2000 I bought a white Japanese saturn and radiant silvergun for about £70, played it a few times and couldn’t get into it so sold it a few weeks later for the same price…dang

@belmont it’s £10 on the Xbox store, pretty sure that’s how much it was when it came out in 2011. I’d have double dipped if it was the same price on Switch. Definitely one to add to the wishlist

Being entitled to something isn’t the same as finding a hack to do something, do you think SEGA should have provided all the net code for Phantasy Star Online on DC when it shutdown?

@Jokerwolf Why? It’s a service they provide, it’s not a right. They’ve provided the service for many years and are now closing it, providing the means for others to run it could actually compromise their own codebase/infrastructure (they may have the current code running in other titles).

I get that it’s irritating to not have control, but sometimes you just don’t

My biggest regret was buying a black GameCube with Luigi’s Mansion and Rogue Squadron 2 (was that a launch title?), playing it for about a week then selling it on eBay for cost price. It was 3 years later after launch that I re bought a GC and realised what I’d missed…

I picked Kirby up this morning and me and my 7 year old daughter are playing it co-op while my other younger daughter jumps up and down and points to things. Beautiful game so far.

After hours I’m playing Super Castlevania 4 on the Castlevania Collection

@SolidSnake684 if you can check PDS out it’s one of the most beautiful, atmospheric, haunting RPGs I’ve ever played. One of the best battle systems I’ve ever played too. Truly one of a kind

@RetroTyGuy +1 for this. Konami got criticised for the Arcade Classics Collection but at least they were about £2 a game.

@John_Deacon I wondered about the sound too. I've got Gradius PS4 Archive Arcades and the sound is a lot less "clangy".
