Re: Editorial: Linkle May be a Clunky Introduction For a 'Female Link', But Opens Up Interesting Possibilities

And in each legends he is depicted as the Hero, never it is said it's Link or any other name. The hero can be of any gender as long as it has the spirit of the original hero that is the Link from Skyward Sword.

Zelda is a bit different since it's tied to her sharing the blood of the goddess who took an human form named Zelda, and it became a tradition to name each female newborn in the royal family Zelda in honor of Hylia Human incarnation.

Each new Zelda are maybe the goddess reincarnating each time, which also add the always missing mother of Zelda which probably died when giving birth.

Also Link is never the same person except for some sequels like Majora's Mask and the Wind Waker series.

Quoting Demise:
"Though this is not the end. My hate... never perishes. It is born anew in a cycle with no end! I will rise again. Those like you... Those who share the blood of the goddess and the spirit of the hero... They are eternally bound to this curse. An incarnation of my hatred shall ever follow your kind, dooming them to wander a blood-soaked sea of darkness for all time!"

So any character can end up with the spirit of the hero, for the blood of the goddess it's mostly the lineage of the original Zelda, that turned into a royal family over generations and each new female newborn in their family are named Zelda in honor to the goddess human self I believe, this also show how Zelda only has a father and never a mother in each games.

Re: You Can't Alter The Chest Size Of Female Characters In The Western Version Of Xenoblade Chronicles X

They probably disabled it so people won't make their characters to looks like Lyn, but you know other than remove the slider they should of just changed the minimum size if they didn't wanted that. They decided to go the draconian way by removing the whole thing.

Next thing we know Nintendo will remove any kind of female customization in their next game and everyone will be stuck with the predetermined white woman with average bust that is at least 18 years old and does not look that sexy and more of a nerd.

Re: You Can't Alter The Chest Size Of Female Characters In The Western Version Of Xenoblade Chronicles X

If the feature never was removed no one would of complained because a bust slider is in a lot of customization in games. Games that don't have the bust slider are just made that way, this one had one and it got removed making it more sexualized than if they kept it. If it stayed no one would of complained about the size of the breast at all.

It seems they promote the conservative way of everyone must look the same and diversity is bad. Imagine if they white washed every characters and didn't show any difference of skin color than just white.

This just proves Treehouse mentality that every women need to have the same breast size because screw diversity and tiny and big breast is disgusting in their eyes, because of how sexualized they think they are.

Would you like to be in a country that will not accept women of certain breast size because they see it as sexualized ? Small breast will be seen as pedo trap and big breast will be seen as girl trying to be a slut.

Not every female has B or C cup, some are A, D, etc. But you know it doesn't matter in the west everything need to be the same to stick to the norm because diversity will make it so controversial.

@MitchVogel You have the menu that work like Earthbound and you can set an AI for your other characters. The combat show only the monsters facing you like Earthbound instead of side sprites showing the heroes at the same time.

DQ is less story heavy than Final Fantasy, it's more gameplay driven.

Re: Poll: The Tricky Issue of Retail Games as Download-Only Releases

MarinoKadame

@Therad I got a game corrupted on the PSTV digitally, I could play it fine but some part were corrupted and just gave a black screen, I ended up needing to redownload the whole game and losing my save file because of that. ( Sony only let you keep your save file if you pay PS+, you can't backup on PC since it register the whole game )

I also got the same corruption with Bravely Default at least 3 times, the problem being the auto-save feature.

Re: Yes, Fatal Frame's Lingerie Outfits Have Been Removed From The Western Version

MarinoKadame

The fact is it will hurt the sales of the game even more, it took 10 years to bring that series back in the west and we get this.

It's like they are trying really hard to make this game not successful in the west so they never localize another one again.

First the game barely got any marketing in the west since the Treehouse at E3 2015, then NA get digital only. Now they remove mature content in a 17+ Mature game, meanwhile games like Senra Kagura on 3DS is alright in their eyes. Then trying to bandaid the removal of those outfit they add Samus and Zelda outfits so we get the same amount of content. Just get the lingerie outfits as DLC and I'm sure it will sell, this seems the only option left to get that content now.

Re: Yes, Fatal Frame's Lingerie Outfits Have Been Removed From The Western Version

MarinoKadame

It's just the west is getting a minor version of the original game with contents missing. What people hate is not really that they can't see their characters bare skin it's the principle of a mature game made for 17+ and not for kids getting censored, also how would a parent buy that game for a kid when the game is Digital only in NA ? It's physical in europe but even it's just bad parentship if they buy a mature game for kids and they are more of a minority.

The Samus and Zelda outfits are just a little bandaid option to say we will get the same amount of content as Japan but with no bare skin showed, this also break the immersion more, even Ayane fit more in the game than Samus and Zelda.

Re: Yes, Fatal Frame's Lingerie Outfits Have Been Removed From The Western Version

MarinoKadame

The principle of censoring a mature game that is made for a mature audience is what is the problem. Replcing them by Zelda and Samus outfits that breaks more the immersion of the game is also another low blow. I'm sure this will affect the sales of the game even more and then no other Fatal Frame will come to the west because of lost of interest in the series. It was already bad that the game is digital only in NA. It's like they want to kill the series in the west so they need a reason for it to be less popular and not bring more of it.
