That's not going to happen. It's been stated over and over why, but it's because Ridley wouldn't be able to fit on the 3DS screens.

Lol guys stop bashing other peopl's opinion, we can say who we want in smash. That's what the Ballot's for like someone could say ,"I want Shovel Knight" and then other people would say, "His game isn't in Japan and he doesn't deserve it." Just shut up, people can have their own opinions, no need to bring them down because of it

All I want in Smash is a character that people aren't gonna accuse of being a clone.

I voted endlessly for Shovel Knight and Shantae. I also voted for Simon Belmont a ton of times but with everything going on with Konami I doubt it could happen. He'd be such a great character though..

@Fernink I've been seeing Professor Layton a lot lately. I've never played one of his games, but as far as I know it's a puzzle game. What would his appeal be in a fighting game? Not bashing, just genuinely curious.

According to european CET the ballot is running another 30 min.
I waited till the very last end to vote, and ended up voting for Banjo Kazooie. The most iconic and important character to the plattform / jump 'n run-genre, besides Mario and Donkey Kong on Nintendo platforms.

I voted Banjo-Kazooie when it first opened up, why because there characters I'm familiar with and enjoyed their N64 games.

I voted for Toadette/Toad... though I doubt they'll get in, they'd really be the only ones I'd pay for anyway. I don't want to spend anymore money on a this game as the DLC is expensive as it is.

Am I the only one who asked for Fin and Jake?! I would probably cry... 😂

Yet, my hopes are still up, and if not her, hopefully Shantae, another Sonic character, or/and Waddle Dee!

I never voted or even bothered looking at the page but if I had ,I would have gone for the one and only Dr Robotnik.He would be a fantastic addition!

I voted Wonder Red, but there is so much they can do with him. Custom Robo would've been cool too. There would be all kinds of customs.

Anyways Ridley's already in the game, Daisy's boring, and Shovel Knight might be a good game(I haven't played it) but I don't want any overhyped indie characters in this. I mean, it's not entirely fair of me to say that since I didn't play the game and the devs seem cool, but Indie's like a dirty word to me right now. I guess I'd be okay if he got in. I don't really have anything against him, I just don't like it because. I also kind of want Shantae so I'm a bit of a hypocrite. King K. Rool is okay but he's ugly(yes) so I'm not sure I want him in the game...I want Inkling, and maybe Viridi but my reason for wanting Viridi doesn't really fly so I just voted Inkling. Raguna is cool because Rune Factory is one of the greatest things ever. From Kingdom Hearts Riku's cooler than Sora, but if a Kingdom Hearts character gets in Riku'll unqualify himself and Sora will be chosen instead.(again) Oh and Banjo and Kazooie. I love them.

@GoshDangTravino Sounds like what people said about Wii Fit Trainer haha but actually he has a variety of things he could do, pointing his finger would be a notable inclusion, He could have a flying machine similar to Wario's bike. Honestly, I think there are better characters than Layton but Sakurai could find ways to make it work.

I really thought Shovel Knight was already voted as a Smash fighter. There already is an amiibo listed on Nintendo's website.
