@Chlocean Black Ops 6 is a great place to jump on. The campaign at least, is worth the purchase. I don't know how well multiplayer will hold up with players long term, but considering the stupid Fortnite skins and such in multiplayer are what usually ruin it for me, the first 2 months of a new CoD is the best time to be on the multiplayer.
At $99.99(CAD) this was already a tough sell. But it really did look sharp and like a lot of content. It's really the online demo that convinced me not to get it. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but the controls/gameplay never clicked and felt like they worked, even when I was eventually winning it was never really....fun. Hope everyone that's excited for this one enjoys it.
Mismanagement aside, this looked bad from the very first trailer. This is such a good pitch for a game on paper, but almost every single visual aspect is a huge miss. This one isn't going to fail just on the poor performance of management.
@Joosby gotta agree with the blur. The game is an absolute blast and some serious fun. But I’ve tried all of the visual options and honestly even at the highest resolution option it still looks like a pretty grainy mess in motion. I play it on performance because it seems to be the best option, but man I was surprised at how blurry the 30fps mode looked.
After everything that was done during the Switch lifespan, I think it's been proven that it's not IF it can run something, but whether the devs want to put the time into making it work (and how much is compromised in the process). I'm sure a switch 2 port of this game is not only possible, but could run quite nicely in comparison to the Series S.
Would love to see it. And would double dip on another copy of the game.
The visuals have always been a bit....off, for this. I think it would take a bit of an art rework to improve rather than more time in the oven.
Would have loved to see them actually represent the typical past times and interests of Hobbits like pipe smoking and ale, rather than just pretending they only garden and cook. Wonder if that could have been pulled off with simply a T-rating.
@Bigmanfan was about to comment the same. Both of the retro made DKC games are widely considered some of the best DKC games if not best 2D platformers ever.
Are the downloads via a code in the box? Or prompted by the cartridge?
This is an important distinction. While cartridge prompted downloads do suck for preservation it does at least allow for lending the game to friends etc. while the downloads are available.

Re: PGA Tour 2K25 Is Teeing Off On Switch 2
@Jeff2sayshi I haven't bought an NHL game in years, but even I'd be tempted if they pull off a solid Switch 2 version.

A timed event exclusive to paid DLC on a single player game?
Yeah, no.

Re: Video: Here's Another Look At The Lord Of The Rings 'Tales Of The Shire' Game
The art direction for this is just off. A lot to do with the lighting which isn't flattering the style of characters.
That's ignoring the glaring lack of actual Hobbit related content in the game.
I hope it finds a solid audience, this is the type of game that should have been an easy home run.
Re: Most US amiibo Pre-Orders Have Gone Live, But Someone's Still Missing
This seems about right for the worst Sage.
Hopefully stock will still be there like normal for release so people can snag one.

Re: Community: What Are Your Favourite Sidequests On Switch?
Isn't Witcher 3's 'Bloody Baron' specifically a main quest not a side quest?
