Wow, I feel bad now about moaning when our American friends got a lower price, especially because they're being so nice about this. Now we just need the game on DSiWare!
The Wii Shop is already overflowing with puzzle games, but if it's from the same guys (and girls, maybe) who made Pearl Harbor, which I hear is awesome, then maybe this'll stand out from the crowd.
I'd love to be able to play the new Mario Kart, Ocarina of Time (never played the original), Metar Gear Solid and Paper Mario at the event. I've missed out a lot more. But anyway, I doubt Nintendo would ever do something like that for Europe.
I'm happy for the Americans, but I think it's a bit unfair that they get 600 points off the price for this. I mean, it's not like they had to wait that long (how often does Europe have to wait ages for games like MFC and Shantae) and many wouldn't have bought it for 800 points anyway. I'm not being rude or ungrateful, but I think it's a bit over-the-top.
On the first Scribblenauts, did you all seriously control Maxwell by tapping the screen? Here's a tip: try holding the stylus on the screen and dragging to move. It's much easier and much more accurate. I always wondered why people hated the controls so much. So, @soccer686, no, you're not the only one. Also, while I've never played this, I find it hard to believe that this is only an 8. It was a great review, but surely the sandbox screen and level editor merit a 9 on their own?
Smugleaf and Hamferno were awesome names. Instead of 'Tepig' they should have just called the fire one 'teh pig'. And the water one? It will always be ugly.
Yay, sympathy for Europeans! (And Aussies, don't forget the Aussies)
Well I still don't understand why slightly worse graphics are such a big deal, especially considering Super Mario Bros isn't really remembered for its graphics, but maybe I don't understand the situation fully.
EDIT: Ok, going back over the comments it seems like more than just slightly worse graphics. SHAME ON YOU, NINTENDO!!!
Can we have the amounts in pounds and euros as well please? Seems strange that the amounts in British money weren't mentioned in the article, considering that James wrote it.
Good review but you could have explained exactly why the game was so fun, 'cos most of the review complained about the game. Also, I know you said this in the review but I'd like to say it again: THIS GAME IS F*** UGLY!
I'm completely disgusted in EA. Honestly, I find it despicable that developers just churn out crap shovelware on the Wii without an ounce of effort, just to make a bit more money from the poor saps who would actually buy this, poor saps that make up 90% of the Wii's audience. They didn't even try to make a good game, and that's just inexcusable. If If I met the guys who made this I would line them up and slap them in the face as hard as I could one-by-one.
Wait a second, how is WaltzElf defending EA when they're as money-driven as Gameloft?
@GavinRozee I don'tthink you should jump to conclusions like that. I'm sure WayForward have good reason for releasing Shantae so late. Nicalis, on the other hand...
I think Shinesprite put it best. Other than FATE, a dry week. By the way, Europe is also getting Nitro-X, Frenzic and Music On: Electric Guitar. Frenzic looks decent but the other two seem to be shovelware.

Re: Review: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I (Wii)

Re: You Can Buy Donkey Kong Country Returns with Bananas
I reeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaly wish I had a Wii. The annoying thing is none of my friends have Wiis either, so I don't get to play games like DKCR or SMG2.

Ooh, I'll check it out. I'm just starting to get into the Christmas spirit.

Re: Nintendo Download: 29th November 2010 (North America)
I hope Cave Story comes to Europe DSiWare soon...if it comes at all. Still, I'm happy you guys got a great week.
Re: Review: Frenzic (DSiWare)
Lazy devs. Short and sweet review.

If this has good online and a great sense of speed, then count me in. Asphalt 4 was fun for a while but soon got old.
Re: Review: Call of Duty: Black Ops (DS)
I'll wait for the 3DS before I get a handheld FPS, but I'm glad n-Space did so well considering the DS's limitations.

Wasn't expecting this at all.

Re: After 16 Years, Nintendo Returns to CES
We need fresh new info, fresh new (and playable) demos, and lots of advertising, because I think people are starting to forget about the 3DS.

Thank you, Code Monkeys, for providing us with such fantastic and worthwhile entertainment! This review wouldn't have been possible without you!
Re: Review: Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii)
Corbie always gets the 10s. I wish these weren't the ONLY kind of games that got 10s on the Wii, but at least this is awesome.
