Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Wii U)

Locke159

This game was both awkward playing on both the GC and Wii. While playing on GC the sword swinging felt off and weird. For the Wii it just didn't feel like I was wielding sword. Skyward Sword was the true motion control experience. Im sure the sword swinging will be the same on TPHD

Re: Fire Emblem Fates Becomes Fastest Selling Release in Franchise History in the US

Locke159

My first FE game was Awakening and man ive been missing out on an amazing series. I tried to get my wife to play Awakening but I didnt succeed but this time I showed more info on Fates and she couldn't wait for the release. She got Birthright and I got Conquest, this weekend was a FE weekend. She really loves it and can't stop playing (also is now ignoring me in the process).

Re: Review: Fire Emblem Fates (3DS)

Locke159

So if I buy Birthright I can still do the Conquest path right? Since the Conquest game is the harder version of the two? Or am I missing something? The wife wants this game but I don't want the difficulty to force her to give up and stop playing.

Re: Editorial: Linkle May be a Clunky Introduction For a 'Female Link', But Opens Up Interesting Possibilities

Locke159

@jibaycay @smashbrolink
Both of you have many good points, but i think they should leave Link alone and not mess with his gender. Yes Link was originally created to be "link" to the player and not character of his own. All LoZ games from LoZ, LA, and ALTTP you can see Link as an empty shell. But starting in OoT they started to change that. In OoT Link was romantically interested by Ruto, she said the Zora's Sapphire is given to her would be husband. WW pretty much solidified Link's growth as a character rather than an empty slate. Link was given a sister and a grandmother. Aryll actually calls him lazy brother, here all boys when they come of age at 13 must wear the Hero's Clothes like the boy of legend once did. In TP Link and Ilia have a love interest going on throughout the game. Link here now has relationships here. Illias dad wants a strong man for her daughter and thinks Link is too carefree. SS was the biggest evidence of Link becoming his own character. He clearly has feelings for Zelda. In that game it was all about saving Zelda than saving the land of Skyloft. Groose is also interested in Zelda and sees Link as a threat. At the end they hold hands ( also in Spirit Tracks) at he end you can see the love interest between them. Can you change that to have them be Link be a girl and Zelda have a love interest? Yes. Though that would make almost a decade worth of games be pointless in even giving Link emotions towards the others.

Re: Eiji Aonuma is Aiming For an Open World "Surprise, or Kind of a Twist" in The Legend of Zelda for Wii U

Locke159

@Yorumi I'm obsessed with the Zelda series so I know what Link represents. Link just being the avatar made sense in the games prior to TP, since then Link has been given more character development. From Spirit Tracks where Link and Zelda made a fun duo to SS where there was actually emotions behind rescuing Zelda. Link is no longer just an empty shell avatar. If they decide make him just that again then it makes the other titles pointless where they've tried to make him more.

Re: Nintendo Not Looking To Churn Out Yearly Sequels To Its Core Franchises, Feels DLC Keeps Games Feeling Fresh

Locke159

I like this approach. One thing that should add to some franchises like Mario spinoffs are more characters. Like Link and Samus to the Party series. I would like to see a hyrule stage or brinstar. Side note go back to the original gameplay of Mario party since they added the whole stage based rules instead of collecting stars has been bad. Mario Tennis with Zelda and Samus in tennis gear would be funny. Or heck even golf. Mario Kart 8 is amazing and I use Link all the time now. Many gamers buy memorabilia and collectibles for certain franchises i don't know why they don't add certain favorite characters to spinoff games to appeal certain groups. All star baseball could have actual teams, Mushroom Kingdom with Mario heroes, and a bowser team. Team Zelda vs Ganondorf team in Hyrule, the possibilities are endless but Nintendo just doesn't seem to do it. If they add some extra characters beside Mario characters in the upcoming tennis game i will most likely buy it.

Re: Wreck-It Ralph 2 Confirmed to be Smashing Its Way to Theatres

Locke159

I hate Frozen. It has to be one of the most overrated movies of all time. The movie never had a true villain. The prince being the bad guy was no plot twist at all just lazy writing. If he truly wanted to kill Elsa he should've killed her at the her ice fortress when she surrendered. The soldiers would vouch for him since they were his men. Heck even in the dungeon, simple lie would do. The movie just ran its course then the writers realized there is no villain so let's just make the prince the bad guy. There must be a small clue or even a rumor of someone saying something but this movie had nothing. Scar is one of my favorite villains of all time. You hate him for trying to kill Simba once. Then again when reveals his plan through his song. Finally when he kills Mufasa and blames Simba for it. That's a true villain.

Re: Wreck-It Ralph 2 Confirmed to be Smashing Its Way to Theatres

Locke159

@rjejr The villian was named in the first scene. The seed was planted early and often to remind you of whatTurbo had done. The whole time I was waiting for him to show up and he was the there the whole time. I knew King Candy was a villain since he was able to hack the game but his reason of why Vennolope couldn't race was legit. Then turns he is Turbo and already had taken a game over.

Re: Talking Point: Metroid Prime: Federation Force and Entitled Fury

Locke159

This game should not cost more $14.99-19.99. I hate CoD but I rather have a game that can handle 16 players against each other than a co op only. Its a survival round after round like zombies is for CoD. Such a waste of time for Next Level Games they could've been working on something else instead

Re: Talking Point: A History of the Sexualisation of Samus

Locke159

There is nothing wrong with her designs at all. When she is wearing the Varia Suit I'm sure it gets warm inside so having her wear shorts and a sports bra makes sense. The Zero Suit I do believe is a little over done not only does it look uncomfortable its really a pointless costume. Also most when in the gym wear this attire since its easy to move around and be able to do cardio workouts. I'm sure if this was a man in the suit he would wear nothing but spandex shorts.
