I find this so weird, because to me Breath of the Wild just went back to the first game and decided to go a different route from there. It's the game's director looking back to what Miyamoto originally intended and designed and updating that with our current capabilities. And it's a route I feel the series flirted a lot with along the years and only avoided with its commitment to OoT's structuring.
My phone is a device to connect myself to the rest of the world. I'm not really going to waste its battery on games when I can instead have a device that is completely geared and focused towards games.
I hope the Switch is how handheld consoles will be, going forward.
Dude, we just want to play Pokémon as we've had before but on Switch. You don't need to reinvent the wheel. I mean it's awesome if you figure some cool stuff out, but we were happy with the idea of a port of Sun & Moon already!
I'd buy more if the ones I want were available at all and at a price that is affordable. I want Breath of the Wild amiibo and can only find them for 40+€ for example
I own all current consoles and for me it's more a PC to go with the Switch. If it's on console and it's not too graphically demanding, I'd love it on the switch due to flexibility on where I can play it. For everything else (and most shooters) I just prefer playing on a PC, because of more input choice and greater backward and forward compatibility, as well as being able to play on my laptop if I need to.
Kinda makes me wonder who his parents are and what everything was like for them. Did they die? How? I'd imagine being the parents of the only male Gerudo for (what was it?) a 100 years, kinda makes you special. Did the Gerudo leaders take baby Ganondorf from them to be specifically raised as a leader? What happened?
Torn between buying it to just pick up and play with friends whenever we feel like and... well I already have it. with all the DLC and everything. At 40€ I'd be more likely to buy it
Pokken, Tokyo Mirage and the Xenoblades for me. Mostly because I haven't bought those yet for Wii U even though I really want them.
ZombiU doesn't make a lot of sense to me without the second screen. It was mostly really neat because of the two screen feature.
If there's a Hyrule Warriors port, it should be a version of Legends. But I much rather would have a Hyrule Warriors 2 (and since I'm requesting sequels, how about a Bayonetta 3?)
I... I thought Zelda was always open world. They just did it pretty badly in the 3D home console Zeldas (except for Wind Waker).
Can we get a proper flying on a bird open world now? And maybe another sailing open world?
In any case, open world doesn't mean no dungeons. Zelda 1 had dungeons. A Link to the Past had dungeons. Love the shrines, but they need to be more themed, and we just need the deep thematic dungeoning from previous Zeldas. I loved this open world a lot and feel like most open world games have to take a very good look at it. However challenges need more themes than "sheikah tech" and be more... dungeony.
I loved it, but as similar as it is to the first Splatoon, the only thing that currently is making me want to buy it, is the hair customization. I just really REALLY love the new styles you can have by customizing the hair!
I wish I could find a Shovel Knight amiibo at all. Looks so nice.
Once i've got that one, sure I'd possibly go for some of the other ones too. Those characters have some cool designs
Fast RMX or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe? I want 1 racing game that I can jump into every once in a while. I own both with DLC on Wii U. Both have been tweaked for the new release and have some new content. MK8D is better to play with friends which is a huge +, while Fast RMX is cheaper. I'm tending towards MK8D, but it kinda feels crappy to pay so much money again for a game I already have.
So, how do you log in to hotel or public wifi? Kinda relevant to me currently as I just lived in a Hotel for a bit. (okay there's the "create a hotspot with your laptop" workaround, but that's definitely not the best). Also I routinely used the wii U browser to stream stuff from my PC (although i've had other solutions lately), used it to quickly look up guides or anything else I needed without having to go grab some other device, and to order food when I've got lots of people together.
Most important though really is the public WiFi login

Re: New Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Rewards Appear on My Nintendo in North America
so mynintendo has become essentially what Club Nintendo used to be... such a shame
Re: EA Is Considering Bringing More Games to Nintendo Switch
Cool! Depends on what they actually bring over, but it's refreshing after their stance on previous Nintendo platforms
Re: Video: Super Bomberman R Update Sacrifices Resolution for a Tasty Framerate
why not just have an option somewhere to switch between resolution or framerate boost? Then everyone is happy

Re: Here's Why Speedrunners Prefer The Wii U Version Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
@setezerocinco yeah I just noticed that that clip actually sounds pretty damned good to me, and I usually avoid german dubs

Re: Nintendo Fixes the Left Joy-Con Problem with a Small Piece of Foam
so, what, do i send in my 4 joycons now? and be out of controllers for i don't know how long?
... actually I wonder if it'd be okay to just drive over to Nintendo Europe HQ and wait there while they do this
Still I think I'll wait a bit and see if there's even better solutions at some point

:/ I pre-ordered Zelda from GAME. Hope it's there for me on Friday. I did order in store.

Re: Gallery: Let's Compare The Nintendo Switch To Other Handhelds
It looks like it's about the size of a closed 3DS XL (+joycons), but way thinner? That'd be perfect for me
Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd February (Europe)
I'd love to get Harvest Moon 64, but since it's unlikely it would transfer over to the Switch, I guess I'll have to pass...
