As an avid fan of the Final Fantasy Series, I think 2023 will be a better year for the company. XVI and Rebirth will sell themselves. They have to promote their "smaller" titles. The recent demo of Final Bar Line (same practice as with last year's Switch titles) is a good example of great marketing. If Square Enix follows this route, their sales numbers will improve again.

Did anyone notice the severe input lag in both TV and handheld mode?

I played this game to death on my CRT. In this version I cannot hit the marks as I am used to, which is crucial in the later courses.

I would love such a release! The performance of the N64-ports is a little bit sluggish nowadays...

Great News. Should be mandatory for all games. Unfortunately "Echoes" and "Fates" are still limited to the wooden (imo) English voices.

I downloaded it immediately after release and I am very happy with it. Great shmup with a crazy 90s OST. Keep em coming HAMSTER...

@ThomasBW84 Got one more: my girl friend got really hooked during the pre-launch phase that she decided to preorder a switch as her first console including Zelda. Is the game as intuitive as most of Nintendo's past games, so that new comers can jump right in or would you say that it is more suited for experienced players?

The screenshot of Super Aleste tempts me to give it another try on my SFC. Even if shmups weren't always at home on Nintendo platforms (due to hardware limitations on NES and SNES); the titles we got were astonishing: Area 88, Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie, Axelay and many more... I will buy this book for sure. Thanks for the nice review.

Still hoping for a release of the SNES version of Final Fantasy VI on the New 3DS Virtual Console in the west. Would be a perfect fit. Maybe in the release window of FF XV...

Love this game. But is it possible to turn off the rumble feature in the wii u vc settings? It's a little bit off-putting if you play it without sound on the gamepad...

@conman2012 You are completely free to maneuver your aircraft through the skies. It is not on rails like Star Fox 64.

Because of the classic controller support Kirby's Adventure should be completely playable with the gamepad, right?

Pop'n Twinbee is a great game. But without a 60hz release I won't buy it. Come on, we are living in the 21st century. Just release the SFC version and that's it...

I wonder if the original was a commercial success in western territories? If not, the chances are low for a localization of this new series entry...

Finally a worthy first party eshop release. Nintendo needs to play around more with it's own IPs. This is a step in the right direction.

If they allow the gamepad as a classic controller in wii mode (future update), no one will buy wii u virtual console games anymore. So I think this is not going to happen.

I bought it right away. When I started it for the first time on the bus ride home I instantly got goose bumps because of it's heart warming and artistic presentation. The first bits of the game reminded me of a Miyazaki/Ghibli film. Unfortunately it appears to be rather short with the climaxe in sight after 2-3 hours. But I enjoyed every second of it. Absolute recommendation from my camp.

This is great news. Day One Purchase.

What makes them better? P4 was the best JRPG I have ever played. But never managed to play another SMT title.

I played Persona 4 and enjoyed it alot. Is SMT IV comparable or as good as P4?

Same here. The kaiju weeks are starting. Plus: all the companies in my country who own the rights to classic kaiju flicks are rereleasing them in the form of new special editions. I am excited... : D
