Re: Nintendo Download: 11th October (North America)

Joker13z

@Megal0maniac Oh I definitely agree it should be cheaper. Like you said Okami was a great example. I imported the physical version and even that was cheaper than TWEWY lol.

@DrJiggle I don't get it either man. Good luck with an import copy at a good price if you want it.

Re: Hands On: Starlink: Battle for Atlas Feels More Like A Star Fox Game Every Time We Play It

Joker13z

@The_Mysteron Thankfully it's been confirmed that none are necessary. You can get any of the of physical stuff in the game. Don't remember if that means it's unlockable in the game itself or it's just a micro transaction though. Probably the second part since they would still want you to spend money for it. But atleast you don't have to have a bunch of the toys laying around.

Re: Cosmic Star Heroine Dev Explains Its "Frustrating" Experience Working With Nintendo

Joker13z

@Nintendofan83 Gonna agree with you here. He makes it seem like this is a Nintendo only thing which I highly doubt. No company gives full exposure to all of it's indie titles and to expect that is kind of odd. There are a crap ton of indie games I have for switch that were never shown in any kind of direct or given a tweet since the launch of the system.

I remember they did get a ps blog post about their game from Sony. I'm guessing they are upset they didn't get the same treatment from Nintendo. Bottom line is none of the big 3 gives equal attention to every single one of it's hundreds of indie games. Sorry?

Re: Random: Amazon's Gaming Pre-Order Discount Cancellation Sparks Nintendo Sale Surge

Joker13z

@Mamabear Yeah there have been a good amount of games discounted to close to 20% off for everyone in the past. I haven't seen too many at that nice of a discount lately though. I'm pretty sure you're right in that it was to get non prime members ordering and possibly get them to become prime members to enjoy that discount on all games. Though that's all a wash now lol.

Now it just remains to be seen how generous they are with the credit they are going to offer for prime members and if they still discount certain titles for preorder for everyone too.

Re: Random: Amazon's Gaming Pre-Order Discount Cancellation Sparks Nintendo Sale Surge

Joker13z

@Julien Now you're saying it was a joke and still seem angry with me by saying to put you in your place? I just said I'd do it for you. Didn't say anything about putting you in your place. I said I'd do it in spite of your attitude implying I'm doing it cause you asked.

Either there is a major disconnect between American and British humor here or you just keep going after me for no reason. I mean I'll accept I'm on a UK site so if anyone is to blame it's probably me. But could you just be straight with me and drop the sarcasm or humor or whatever for my sake? Because honestly it's confusing me.

And do you still want to know if the pre order prices stick or not? Trying to ask a serious question here. Cause it doesn't cost me anything to place the orders or tell you what happens.

Re: Random: Amazon's Gaming Pre-Order Discount Cancellation Sparks Nintendo Sale Surge

Joker13z

@Julien Once you lock in a order for something that price is guaranteed under their preorder price guarantee. Unless it was a price glitch of course then it's up in the air. Otherwise your price can never go up only down until it's released.

Just make sure you tie it to a credit card that has a pretty far out there expiration date if you're ordering anything without a confirmed release date. If you edit an order in any way, that all goes out the window I imagine.

Re: Unlock Exclusive Platypus Chef When You Pre-Purchase Overcooked 2 On Switch

Joker13z

@ramu-chan Me and a friend just recently played the original to get ready for the sequel and experienced no frame drops. So I'm guessing whatever issues you had are fixed now.

And come on Nintendo Life. Me and others told you the US price is listed at $24.99 on your other article and even linked to the official Nintendo US store page at $24.99 but you still have the wrong price listed.

Once again for clarification: https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/overcooked-2-switch

You even have the correct price on your own site under the game's page. Now I'm even more confused why it's wrong. https://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch/overcooked_2

Re: Pre-Order Overcooked 2 Now And Receive Exclusive Characters At Launch

Joker13z

@onex I don't like preorder exclusive stuff either generally. But atleast it's just a cosmetic thing. And maybe I'm different but I never really cared about the chef I picked in the first game. I just randomly picked one lol. Game is too chaotic to appreciate the character you picked.

So you're not really missing out on much if you don't preorder it in my opinion. So wait for a nice sale

Re: Pre-Order Overcooked 2 Now And Receive Exclusive Characters At Launch

Joker13z

@ryancraddock Guess I'll preorder sooner than later just in case the price changes haha. And the console exclusive chef to Switch is this one I'm talking about. It's listed on the Amazon store page in one of the promo images as a Switch exclusive chef. I'm guessing it's that way for the eshop too.

For reference: https://www.amazon.com/Overcooked-2-Nintendo-Switch/dp/B07DPKYRRL/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1532612430&sr=8-1&keywords=Overcooked+2

Re: Pre-Order Overcooked 2 Now And Receive Exclusive Characters At Launch

Joker13z

@Spoony_Tech I want to play this with a friend day 1 so I'm preordering anyways. But the wording at various different places confuses me whether or not some or all of these characters are preorder exclusive.

I know 1 is a switch exclusive atleast. Don't know why Nintendo Life didn't list him since this is a an article about the switch listing. It's the platypus chef. Brings the total to 6 chefs.

@ryancraddock That and the price for the US digital version should be reflected in the article

Re: Hands On: Starlink Scratches That Star Fox Itch, But We're Not Sure Who It's For

Joker13z

Who is the game really for? Kids and adults lol. It's not that hard to grasp. I appreciate the in depth look at the game but that just kinda seemed silly to me. It seems like it'll be simple and fun enough for older kids while still giving a story and gameplay that can be fun for adults. Atleast from what I've seen and read from different places.

The switch version with Fox is most definitely aimed at adults who grew up with Star Fox. They're working that nostalgia angle. And hell, it worked for me so they're doing something right. The game went from meh...I could play it some day I guess to yeah I'm preordering this lol. I may end up beating it and selling it soon after if it doesn't have any lasting appeal but they definitely scored a preorder from me. So bonus points for the continued Ubisoft/Nintendo collaboration.

EDIT: I should add the 20% off with GCU really helped soften the blow. So I don't blame others for not wanting to jump in at that price tag. I honestly wouldn't have if I didn't get the 20% off.
