Re: Here's Your First Look At Yooka-Laylee's Demastered Nintendo 64 Mode

@Bunkerneath Well geez...that's coming up real soon and still no preorders yet? Seeing how early they've done preorders for their other switch games, it's hard for me to believe they're keeping that release window.

Anyways, thanks for digging that up for me. Still deciding on whether or not I even want the game. Wish there was a demo.

@Mr_Pepperami Hmm yeah I hear you there. I played better Kirby games and I'm mainly getting tennis for get togethers and such. Just like Mario Party coming later this year. I seem to be one of the few excited about that game haha.

I guess I've just been content with the ports since I've not played a good amount of them and all the third party content out and coming out has really satisfied me. Cause of that I'm not really noticing the lack of new first party stuff probably. I'm definitely really pumped for Smash though and not as pumped but excited for the new Pokemon game.

@Mr_Pepperami Thanks for the input. I'm happy with their stream of content and third party content so far. I also didn't play many of these Wii U games so the ports don't bother me as much I guess. Guess we'll see how it continues the rest of this year and going into next but I've got a lot of stuff preordered right now being a mix of first and third party so if the trend continues I'll still be happy.

And they have to run out of Wii U games that sold well at some point anyways haha.

@marnelljm No reason to get snappy and just keep saying that's a problem like I didn't read you saying "that's a problem" the first time. I'm trying to have a polite discussion over here.

As for the price issue. I agree that was a problem with Tropical Freeze. I didn't like that either. Was that just an outlier or did they do that to more of them? I don't really keep up with price comparisons.

Still don't see why people complain so much about the existence of wii u ports. 2 people have already chimed in about it in only 6 comments. And it's waaaay worse in forums and reddit. I don't really understand the logic. A lot of people didn't buy the wii u, so why wouldn't they port over a lot of the best wii u games? It's not like you have to buy them.

Is it because people think that this detracts somehow from them making new games? In all the years of xbox and ps consoles I've never seen as much complaining when they do ports as I do now with the switch.

Also would people rather not have any ports? I'm honestly confused about the whole matter. For the ones unhappy with the amount of ports coming to switch, where is a happy medium for you?

Re: Pokémon Quest Will Launch On Mobile Devices Next Week

I'm pretty salty about progress or at the very least your purchases don't carry over to mobile. I mean I guess I should have expected it but it makes me mad anyways. I thought it would be as simple as logging in with your Nintendo account on mobile and syncing with their server. Either that's not the case or Nintendo just hopes people rebuy on mobile?

EDIT: Just wondering where you came up with that information if I may ask? Did that come in a press release for you guys? Cause reading through the google play listing it says although saved data is local, you can back it up on the server. This potentially means the Switch version could have the same backup function added. I'm just grasping at straws here hoping this was just your interpretation of what the store listing said. Cause I can't find anything that guarantees no transfer of anything at all.

I've actually been having a lot more fun with it than I thought I would. It's a nice little time waster for a free game. Though I'd much rather have it on my phone. If progress is synced, which honestly it should be, I'll be switch over to having this on my phone instead when it's out.

I recommend it to anyone that has fond memories of the original pokemon and doesn't already have a simple little time waster on their phone. Download the switch version now, see if you like it, then wait for the phone release is my suggestion.

I haven't played Pokemon since...I believe heartgold on the ds. Despite me not liking the Pokemon go styled catching mechanic I'm pretty interested in this. I don't understand why a lot of people are saying it's only for kids or casual players. I've seen that swamping the internet.

Nostalgia factor also weighs in big for me since it's the original 151 Pokemon. I grew up with that as a kid. All the newer Pokemon games don't interest me at all cause there's like what almost 1k different Pokemon now? I'm a big do and collect everything in my rpgs and that's just too much for me.

So yeah I'm probably one of the very few people who are going to buy this as an adult and play it by myself without buying the next main Pokemon game.
