Nintendo and Sega enjoy a pretty close relationship these days, with several big-name Sega titles being exclusive to the Wii U and 3DS. The two firms are also working together on arcade hardware, with new titles being shown off at this year's International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, or IAAPA for short.
Luigi Mansion Arcade and Mario & Sonic At The Rio 2016 Olympic Games Arcade Edition were the games in question, and the lovely folks over at Arcade Heroes have posted in-depth videos of each one in action.
Luigi Mansion Arcade is due for release in the west next summer, and is based on the home console series. It comes with a full-sized Poltergust 3000 and - as you might expect - involves bustin' spooks in various scary locations.
Mario & Sonic At The Rio 2016 Olympic Games Arcade Edition is based on the home console version - coming to Wii U and 3DS next year - and will be hitting western arcades around January or February time.
Are you ready to pop some coins into both of these? Let us know by posting a comment.
Thanks to Adam Pratt for sending these videos in!

Got Xenoblade yesterday. Do excited to play it this afternoon.
You know SEGA, if you are just fine just making arcade games, then just stick to that. There's really no reason for you to expand your business to PC and Mobile if you aren't delivering quality and cutting jobs at the same time.
Really disgusted to see something like SEGA making cheap quality outside Japan and delivering better quality within Japan. Almost sounds like racism.
Last time, the arcade version of M&S Rio 2016 had 8 characters, and now it has 12 characters.
@Torterror Thanks for staying on-topic.
am I the only one that doesn't understand why we never got a Luigi's Mansion on the Wii or the Wii U? and why has there never been a Super Mario Sunshine on those systems? They made a Poltergeist 3000 controller (the wii mote) - why not make a game with it? And a cool controller cover... I don't understand them - they've had like 10 years to make it. But we got an awesome 3ds game and a nintendoland mini game... I don't understand
@Artwark
Why be content with that if we can just pray a fissure opens up beneath SEGA headquarters, and sends the whole lot to hell?
Fortunately, both cabinets will be coming west eventually (although I don't know how that would affect you, living in India). There are games they seem to withhold from the rest of the world, but that's just what happens when games are produced in Japan.
As for myself - will I be popping any coins into these, unfortunately not. I've never really been one to visit arcades. Living where I am, most of them are on the coast, but there is one in the nearby city. It'd be interesting to see what they have, because there are some pretty interesting games that are arcade only. Like Sega's 'Let's Go Island'
I hope Nintendo/Sega does an arcade package for the NX of Luigi's Mansion n Mario Kart GP at launch could be really good fun party and family games.
Well, at least Knuckles looks like his normally proportioned self again...
@edhe At first I thought you were kidding and the picture was some kind of photoshopped gag, but now that I've looked it up, it actually seems kind of entertaining, although the graphics and character movements leave quite a lot to be desired, in my opinion...

@johnodaz Don't know if the Luigi's Mansion game is compatible, but you can play both Mario Kart Arcade games on your Wii/Wii U right now by soft-modding it and adding Nintendont. And then look online for Triforce games for Wii..
@vitalemrecords FULL AGREE!!! That game could EASILY translate inti a home console experience on the Wii U utilizing the wiimotes....if they're afraid of sales, they coupd always release this as an eShop title...I know I'd buy it!!! Or maaaaaaaaybe, they could release a full fledged game that goes into 1st person when you use the poltergust...similar to how Fatal Frame 5 is (3rd person gameplay, 1st person battles)
They look pretty fun. Surprised they are coming to the US. They'll probably be in Dave & Busters or something.
Both cabinets and gameplay experiences really look slick, but it's highly unlikely I'll be able to play them anytime soon (if at all). You have to travel pretty far for upscale arcade experiences like this where I live. It's a shame, I'm really digging Luigi's Mansion Arcade.
