The Gamecube controller isn't wireless though? There is no excuse for that, I might still get the bundle, but Nintendo shouldn't be putting a cord on any controller today like that.
@Punished_Boss Same thoughts here, can't see what went against their honor. Has it changed somehow recently with the games they've been publishing? I mean, were the wresting moves too intense for Mario? Even after Brawl?
Why is Watson an 8-year old girl? Why even bother calling her Watson? And realisticly, she wouldn't be able to help him out in any way. Only annoy and hinder him. Also, it goes against his character to take care of a little girl. His basic character. The game has made a terrible first impression so far. I'm wondering how much he'll even be Holmes anymore. Japanese quirkyness like this does not work for the character Sherlock Homes.
I don't get the way people are reacting badly to them. They had a perfectly reasonable amount of NES knowledge, I wouldn't expect more or less. I don't get what's worrying about this generation. If anythings worrying, it's that they just flip the bird like that. That's more if an issue than not knowing about old video games.
Dang, I'm kind of surprised that Nintendo is putting these in the game, and what Hyrule Warriors is getting away with, it's not how Nintendo usually operates. Especially with those series.
I don't think the GameCube controller pushed the industry forward. The others did, but the GameCube didn't allow for the same degree of control as the other controllers. The only thing it had going for it was comfort.
I think they missed the mark here. It's great that there is local co-op, but there should be online co-op. It shouldn't be unsure if it should be included in development, it should be a standard that they were putting themselves to when they made it with co-op. This is a basic feature to lack.
@kensredemption Red Steel was rated T, and I don't think he meant there has never been a really violent game that was exclusive to a Nintendo console, he just said this one was too much for him.
I'll say the same thing I said at Pushsqaure, which ironically is about Nintendo. I'm surprised no one has said this, but I think Ninrendo completely botched presentation and pacing. Their digital direct was their stage show equivalent, and they were doing okay in that. I think where they really messed up, is announcing all the games for 3DS and Wii U in the treehouse. That was an after show, and shoulnt have had so many. Nintendo could have had a lot more thunder and hype by announcing all the rest of the first-party and third-party games for both systems (mostly 3Ds here) at the direct. They lacked impact and felt less important because Nintendo practically swept them under the rug.
I wouldn't be surprised if it got delayed past to be line with the Wii U version again. I really think Nintendo doesn't know how to handle themselves with SSB, the Wii U needs the to be pushed, the 3DS version is really looking to take Wii U steam away, which isn't good considering Wii U needs all the steam it can get.
@Hy8ogen What exactly do I lose here? I don't care what others say. Zelda hand had something that's that graphic. Is it all the poeple who line it here? I'm not the only one, and do you really think the big N cares what people say on this article here? They don't give crud. There's nothing to lose here.
With these I'm even more surprised Nintendo's okay with that villian. This goes above and beyond what's been in Zelda and doesn't really match the family friendly brand for Zelda that's been built. I wish they would change it. I'm really not a big fan.
They don't need to put a Black guy to put a black guy in. People take racism too seriously sometimes. It would be racist to make a black character for the sake of it. There's no racism here, only idiots. I'm guessing that they are also forgetting that you've got baby characters of white characters, which means it's not really 14 like they say it is. You don't change colors like that from baby to adult. Well at least unless your Michal Jackson, but I don't think that's relavant here.
I certainly hope they don't avadon it. And in they do, I'll say for sure I wish I hadn't bought a Wii U. Buying it at launch is something I already have to wonder about. Doing this would make it an underpowered PS4, without as many features, no PS Plus, and a far inferior controller that lacks the same innovation level or fine tuning/engineering. (DS4 has the touchpad) (that's standered at least, no major game could require it)
@CaviarMeths It's a bit more than 1/4. Think of it as $15 for the full game. The rest of the game will in 3 segments, at the cheap price of $2. Just wait for them all to release and buy them together if you don't want to buy part of an indie game.
Sweet, I think if I buy this , it'll be when all of them are out. Because this really is one game being released in stages, and a rather unique payment plan.
I don't think this means that much people. They do have a lot of locations, and can see why it might be a bit much. I personally have very good experiences at GameStop. Most of the employees at mine are very good and know what they are taking about, and the best one even knows me now because I'm a regular. And to the poeple who bash what they give you for games. They give you a smaller price, and you have a very easy and convenient way to sell them. If you want a better price, you can sell them yourself. They are a pawnshop that only deals in games and of few other related electronics.
@Bizzyb I want to be able to controll who my Mii likes and hates, who his crush is though. I still want the random element, it's that I like having control over that one person (me) a lot. I really don't want to be telling at my own character for having a crush on a ugly Mii lol.
I was interested, but the fact that you can't personally controll your in-game representation destroys that interest. I wish they at least gave you the option to controll him.
That's a good explanation. I'm personally glad it won't be in the game, because as a Christian I believe marriage is purely between a man and a woman (and believe all physical relations belong in marriage as well). I also believe that hating someone because they are gay is wrong as well.
Looks pretty good, like a clean family friendly version of the sims, which interests me. I might get it. I wonder how much trouble I'll be able to create. That idea espcially gets my interest.
@Turbo857 That's the thing, there are only so many Harcore SSB fans. I doubt there will be that many hardcore SSB fans that are hardcore enought to buy a Wii U to play a game they've had on 3DS for months so they can play it with a bigger screen. The majority of the people who will be the market for SSB won't be that hardcore.
Is Nintendo trying to kill Wii U? This was a big game and it had the potential to sell consoles. So what do they do? They have the 3DS version come out months ahead of the Wii U version, which invites people to buy it for 3DS instead of Wii U, which will reduce the amount of Wii Us sold to 3DS owners. It will also encourage people to get a 3DS instead of a Wii U to play the game if they don't own either. Then they announce a 3DS exclusive mode without even announcing a exclusive mode for Wii U which makes the 3DS version look more appealing than the Wii U version. Releasing the 3DS version so far ahead will also kill hype for the Wii U version by a lot too. It will be a fairly old game releasing at full price by the time it releases.
They aren't just hurting Wii U console sales, it's like they're trying to kill the Wii U version all together or something. They should be doing to this similar to the way MS has marketed Titianfall as an Xbox One game and made the 360 version easy to forget about, come out later, and the infrior version. It might be a good idea to push the 3DS a bit more than Titanfal 360, but the basic idea is the right one. Doing it the other way around is not the right idea.
The Wii U version should come out first and have the exclusive content, not the other way around.
@Einherjar Sony owns Sucker Punch, and they would much rather make a game on PS4 than Wii U. I don't see why a few Easter eggs would be a reason for a developer to work for a company.
If it's not on PS360, then I doubt it will be a game designed to run on Wii U's level of power. If your a developer talking in terms of power, than I don't think they are talking about Wii U.
@Unca_Lz Makes sense, but if it's free and takes 10 minutes, then I don't see how it wouldn't be worth it. That's what puzzles me here. (Unless there's I misunderstand about it being free)
Nice article. It's good to see the ESRB makes things so easy. It also makes me wonder why Steam indies don't get ESRB ratings. It would be so nice. I don't see why not since it's easy.
@Lopezdm Why does that mean they have no business reviewing games? They write the reviews to help other people who have little idea what goes into making a game decide if they want the game. According to that logic I have no business telling my friends if a game is good or bad because I don't know what goes into making one. You can still tell if a game is good or bad (in your opinion) without knowing what goes into making one.
@Melkac I've played Tale of Two Towns. They are all cute with the art style, but this one seems too cute for me. Maybe they're just kids (I'm not sure) in these screenshots, but I like a more natural and realistic looking cute style. For example, I like A New Beggining's art style more.
I'm really looking forward to this as long as they keep the movie story out if it, there's just no way to marry the two stories. I'm fine with using the character designs from the movies though.
@erv I like them too, but I though 3 was great. The 3DS version is also the RPG version, the trailer is for the console version is a shooter.
I'm actually not too supposed that I wasn't truely horrible. I'm not because when some friends turned on the show (wasn't my idea), it actually ended being hilarious. I actually really liked it. I was really suprised at it.
How much will going after small developers do though? Sony already has indies in the bag, I'm not sure how Nintendo can hope to compete with Sony on smaller developers. I don't see that many indies choosing Wii U over PS4. I don't see anyone buying a Wii U for what another system does better, and actually gives third-support, Nintendo can't rebound with indies here, they already lost that battle. You also tell people to shutup about Wii U and that nothing is wrong with it, but then proceed to show that there is a lot wrong with it.
Shame it's episodic. I think I'll just wait till it's all out. It's comes out jut like a normal download game if you add it up though. $15 for 10 hours, a very reasonable price and a good deal if you ask me. I suggest you get it all at once if you have a problem with the episodic structure.
