Re: Pachter: Nintendo Has Lost Its "Mojo"

Jaz007

The ignorance in the comment sections here is quite a site. Pachter has a lot of good points here. Most if you talking about how you don't want "gritty" games and stuff are the people talks about with this "unless you just have to play Nintendo games." The fact if the matter is that you don't represent most consumers. The Wii U does have a hard time selling itself compared to PS4 and XBone. I don't see that much reason to buy one when compared them.

Re: EA Outlines Its Reasons for Lack of Wii U Support

Jaz007

@Burning_Spear PS4 and the One will have the target audience. Pre-order number also do represent a user base for the system on launch day. They gave Wii U a chance when it was launching, it didn't work and now they are putting games on PS4 and the One. Both systems also have similar architechure and it won't much costs to put a game on both system while Wii U takes a lot more effort and money to port a game to.

Re: Ouya Heralds Emulation By Tweeting Image of Super Mario Bros.

Jaz007

@One-Winged-Pit Nintndo owns these game and IPs completely. Nobody has the right steal and pirate them even Nintnedo isn't planning to make that much more money with then. It's wrong regardless of much money Nintendo is going to make off them. A lot of people here are getting upset over the morality of it.

Re: Spin The Bottle Aims to be Fun for "Everything From Families to Drunken College Kids"

Jaz007

That was one stupid trailer that failed to really tell me anything. I also beg to differ with his example of some 10 and 12 year olds playing real spin the bottle. Not all kids that will play that game. I personnaly find the idea of kids that young playing a game like that to be somewhat horrifying. I'm older than that and I wouln't play kiss who ever the bottle points to. Being the lesser of two evils like that is also a poor excuse.

Re: EA: We're Not Writing Off Wii U

Jaz007

@Nintenjoe64 They supported Wii U when it had that lack if sake too and it didn't work out. Now they are going to give PS4 and the One their chance. PS4 is likely to be a good market for their games. Wii U on the other hand, has shown it is not.

I also love how some people say they are backtracking with this statement. They didn't say they had a game for Wii U they plan to release in development. They simply said that if Wii U becomes a viable market, they will release games for it.

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Is Open to More Female Heroines When the Gameplay Structure Fits

Jaz007

One problem is the fact that games like to have an everyman as the protagonist. Men are simply biologically buit to be stronger. That's not sexist either l, it's fact. Women can be strong for sure, but boys are also more likely to do things like lift weights while growing up, just generally more physically strenuous activitys growing up and later on in life. Your average everyman will be stronger than your everywomen. Which is just plain fact. I agree that Bayonneta probably isn't the best argument either. Faith from Mirrior's Edge is a good example of a strong female protagonist. If female if a female protagonist uses some sex appeal to draw people to game like Bayonneta probably does, it's probably a bad example.

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Explains Structure To Ensure First-Party Quality From Subsidiaries

Jaz007

@SkywardCrowbar "If it's not a freaking M rated shooter, than a lot of reviewers (and gamers) will pass it over." That statement is very false. A minigame collection may not get as good of reviews from partially from being one, but it is also true that a lot of minigame collecitons suffer from some boring games in the pakcage that detract from the score. I also suggest you look over highly rated games that were also sucessful and aren't M rated. You can find a lot of games that aren't shooters too like that too.

Re: Miyamoto Unsure Nintendo Can Make Another "Great" F-Zero Game

Jaz007

And the new Mario Karts are supposed to furhtere the series more than they could with F-Zero? Dang it Miyamoto, you don't some whizbag new idea for the game, just make a really polished good F-Zero game with some natural progression for the series. We don't need a great new idea for the game.

Re: Pachter: Without Third Party Support Nintendo Fans May End Up Buying A Second Console

Jaz007

Wii U owners getting a second consoles means less money for Nintendo. Nintndo getting not getting third-party being a big problem. The point about Nintndo getting a second console also ties into the effect of no having third-party titles. It means that people who aren't that intrested in Nintndo titles or at least not enough to get one to just play Nintendo games will be getting PS4 (or heaven forbid, an Xbox One) instead of a Wii U, killing tons of sales for Nintendo. He's right about this.

Re: EA Will "Jump Back In" If Wii U Becomes A "Viable Platform"

Jaz007

They also probably see that a lot of the consoles that have been sold have owners who hate EA with a passion. I don't really care who the publisher is to be honest, just give me good games. Hopefully we'll get some good stuff from them later on when Wii U sells more. I honestly can't blame them for not supporting Wii U right now though.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Won't Feature Cross-Platform Play Between Wii U and 3DS

Jaz007

@Exile20 Agreed. Admitely I decied a long time ago to not get the 3DS version, but I don't like that fact that it exists if it restrains SSB on Wii U. It's just unessecary and harmful to SSB in my eyes.

Different stages eh? Just plain lovely. Those stages could easily be put onto the Wii U version of SSB. Why does there neeed to be a need for different stages. I'm hating the 3DS more by the minute,

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Should Aim to Produce Mature, Genre-Defining Storytelling Experiences

Jaz007

This was a pretty good read. I would love to see the big N make some games like this. I wouldn't want it to be M though(not saying the article suggested that). I think they would be able to make great game like this. I doubt they would match Naughy Dog though. I would espcially love them to make a game like this because I don't care that much for Nintendo platformers or Animal Crossing, they're just not my cup of tea.

I love how some people think that when a game that isn't their cup of tea gets fantastic reviews the developer or publisher paid the reviewers off and that the game will stink when it comes out.

Re: Call Off The Search, Katsuhiro Harada Was At Home Playing Games And Drinking Tequila

Jaz007

He was logging into Steam and the search party didn't check his house. I know he wasn't answering the phone, but someone is probably okay if they are logging into Steam and you should probably crack his house too. What kind of geniuses were looking for him. He would die before before they found him if was actually in trouble. Even if the cause of death was old age.

Anyway, that's awesome. Took a sick a break and couldn't answer the phone cause he was busy playing some games and driving sweet cars. This guy know how to live. Doesn't have to fear for his job or getting in too much trouble either.

Re: Ian Livingstone: Nintendo Should Have Their IP On Every Platform

Jaz007

@shuis Nintendo may have done wireless first, but I'm struggling to see how they affected the development of other wireless controllers.

It would be intresting to see Sony and Nintnedo partner up. I would love to see Naughty Dog and Shigeru Miyamoto work on something together. I have no idea what it would be, but it would be the unquestionable GOTY and claim almost all of the GOTY awards from critics.

Re: Ian Livingstone: Nintendo Should Have Their IP On Every Platform

Jaz007

@shuis Vita was made because PSP was successful, nothing to do with DS, Sony would have had no reason to care if DS crashed and burned, in fact, that would have just meant less competition. The dualshock 3 uses Bluetooth and not infrared technology too so Nintendo doesn't deserve anything there.

Re: Ian Livingstone: Nintendo Should Have Their IP On Every Platform

Jaz007

@shuis Some proof for the statement PS3 would not have Vita without Nintendo. Sony might have had analog sticks without Nintendo. Sony were also he first to go dual analog too, a know instead of the GameCube analogs sticks which weren't nearly as good for most Games. Move was working before Wii even revealed too.
http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2010/09/witness_playstation_moves_origins_on_playstation_2 And where did you get the idea they wouldn't have wireless controls. Everybody was gonna do that regardless of Nintendo's existence. Not everything is a copy of Nintendo you know, some if those claims were rediculous.

Re: Ian Livingstone: Nintendo Should Have Their IP On Every Platform

Jaz007

@SCAR392 Your saying they are really similar because they are in the same genre. SSB has a normal move set and a spcial move set. All stars have the 3 move sets that play differently than the two SSB move sets do. SSB does not have a power gauge, it has a damage gauge. All Stars has a power gauge you fill up to do a special move to try to hit and therefore KO your opponent. This means that your character never changes their reaction due to the amount of damage you have taken like in SSB. This changes the flow of the game completly and feels very different to SSB. I guess Mortal Kombat is a clone of Street fighter according to your logic. All Stars also isn't as good as SSB. The similarities are because they are in the same genre and in the same sub catagory of that genre. The character bring together don't make the gameplay similar either.

Re: Ian Livingstone: Nintendo Should Have Their IP On Every Platform

Jaz007

This guy is forgetting that video games is a business and not a charity. It's one thing to say Nintendo would make more by selling games on other consoles instead of making their own consoles, but to say they should do it so others don't miss out on their games and say nothing about Nintendo stopping making their own consoles is ludicrous.

@SCAR392 PS All Stars: Battle Royale is a completely different game to SSB. There isn't much similar about them. Thats like saying apples won't sell well in Japan because Oranges didn't do very well there.

Re: Pachter Predicts Wii U Price Cut, Feels Nintendo Is Losing "Non-Traditional" Players To Social And Mobile

Jaz007

He is right that some of the casuals who bought the Wii will just be satisfied with their phones. A number of people will just keep being satisfied with their Wiis too. I have Mario Kart Wii. It's a good game espcially with freinds. I'm not getting Amy more Mario Kart though. I already have MK:Wii and that satisfy me, it will work fine for when I have freinds over. This is how it will be for many casuals too. They will be satisfied with what they have. Like me they don't care that much about the franchise and won't buy Wii U for it.

Re: Guys, This Is How You Make A Live-Action Zelda Movie

Jaz007

That was great, I would love to see more of this. And to the people complaining about the tone and violence. Twilight Princess was this dark and violent. Didn't Ganadorf run on if the high mage through without a weapon even and the rest stuttered in fear. (sorry if the description some very good, it's been awhile since I played it) Frankly I want the the next Zelda game to go down that path again. I liked Skyward Sword, but I don't want another chell shaded game. I want another Twilight princess in tone. If I remember correctly, people were dying in ALttP and it was pretty grim in tone at times, espcially in the dark world.

Re: It's Still Not Known If Batman: Arkham Origins DLC Is Coming To Wii U

Jaz007

Wow, this really worries me. I love using the gamepad for Arkham City, but this makes me wonder. What has Nintendo done with the e-shop to make this hard? Right before launch, major publishers didn't know how it was going to work for DLC and now it still seem to be harder than the other 2 platfomers to put it on. Nintendo has been talking about being serious about online parts of a while now. If they are serious than I want to see DLC coming to games instead of being stuck behind the beginning of the PS360 generation. I want results and not just talk about good online.

Re: Flipnote Studio 3D to Hit North America Early August, Subscription Pricing Revealed

Jaz007

They restrict rating flip notes with coins when you pay the subscription. That's completely rediculous on so many levels. Restricting any of that stuff with coins when your subscribed is rediculous. This is a terrible subscription deal, extremely basic features are restricted when you subscribe. This is quite expensive indeed for what it offers.

@Nintendude789 PS Plus is $20 for three months and $50 for year. A far cry from $30 a month.

Re: Tomodachi Collection Famitsu Article Falls Foul Of Unfortunate Timing

Jaz007

Isn't this news for a tabloid? This isn't news relating Nintendo. What she did has nothing to do with Nintendo. Don't us tell her writing about a game makes it Nintendo related either, she said she loves her husband and then an article was posted saying she cheated on him, not Nintendo related. This a pointless article that belongs in a tabloid.

Re: Animal Crossing Co-Director Thinks Tom Nook Is "Very Misunderstood"

Jaz007

The real villain here is the game design that doesn't let you walk away from that guy who wants to sell you bee sting insurance. Seriously, even if the guy keep jabbering on and on I should be able run away to my house. It would be awesome if he kept banging on the door, And then you could get your shovel and thwack him on the head with it, then beat his brains out once he's done in revenge, stuffing would fly out, and you would never deal with him again.
