@42 When it was selling badly. @50 That's true, but it doesn't mean the original poster's point is any less valid.
I think the 3DS is recovering slightly, and by Christmas everything should be relatively hunky-dory, but I doubt it will ever be as successful as the DS. Also, is Iwata wearing a waistcoat? Cool stuff.
This looks identical to the Gamecube version, right down to the music and Toadsworth's voice. I'll probably still get it, but I was hoping for something a little different.
@23 It's cockney rhyming slang for "can you believe it?" The irony being cockneys are from London.
Isn't this thing meant to last 100 hours? That doesn't sound like a "mini-game" to me. I'd gladly swap Pandora's Tower for L-Life. Anyway, I still haven't decided whether I should import or not.
Thank goodness! This arrived just in the nick of time! Now excuse me while I eat a large pile of Ferrero Rocher. Did you know they're owned by the same people who make Nutella? I do now.
As long as it's only used for a few games that I don't want, then I don't mind too much. If it becomes a standard for first-party games too, then that would be a tad annoying. Either way, it doesn't alter the fact that that thing is ugly and gives the impression Nintendo is grasping for any ideas out of thin air and then rushing them, which isn't helping.
@58, 59 Ah yes, well, I've already got that actually...but Dragon Quest X was revealed aeons before Xenoblade so it comes as a bit of a blow to find it's not what was expected. Maybe I'm just greedy but I would still like a proper console DQ.
Blast. This is terrible news, and all I wanted was a nice single-player RPG for my Wii. Too bad I hate wholly online games especially if it comes with a subscription fee.
I do love a good round-table. Top stuff everybody.
I loved Star Fox Assault. I completely agree about the sense of "epicness". It was actually one of the first games I ever completed, and I remember being almost overwhelmed by the scale of the final throes of the game. Also loved the Landmaster segments, I thought they were perfectly distributed. Looking forward to 643D.
Ah. Well, it seems my detective instincts weren't wrong after all. No way am I buying the English version if it's the same price, I'll be importing. Lazy blighters.
I assume Hershel sounds like an American in the NA version?
@NintendoMaster That's still the same ambiguous press statement found in this article though, just interpreted by gonintendo instead. I'd rather not have to import (but I will if necessary) so I'm still going to wait for some confirmation with more clarity.
Am I misreading this...or does it say that London Life is an exclusive to North America? Or is it just the ability to play it from the start that's the exclusive?
Love the idea of the "virtual rucksack", although that seems more obvious than revolutionary. As long as I don't have to draw any sort of path on the controller I don't mind what they come up with.
While I don't particularly want a full Mario/Zelda/etc game on an iphone (it wouldn't be quite the same experience), as a few other people have said here, I don't see why Nintendo can't plonk down an app of some sort onto the smartphone market. Even if it was just a simple A-Z encyclopaedia of Mario and co (for example), it would make a dollop of cash without "watering down" the "core" franchises. Everybody's happy and Nintendo hardly need to put any effort into it; meaning they can still focus on their own consoles and get more cash to spend on game development.
Oh, and I don't know why I bother saying this any more, but the iPhone does make for a great gaming system, whether you like it or not.
I'll pick: Bit. Trip SAGA (although I'm a bit worried it won't be released in Europe), Star Fox 64 3D (looking forward to this in particular, despite the fact they didn't name it "Lylat Wars 3D" for Europe) and Cave Story 3D (although, it's quite a long wait for this one). It's only now that I realise a meagre 2/5 of those are actually confirmed for the UK and Europe . Worrisome.
That explains the slightly fishy presentation. To be honest, this seems like good news to me, if Nintendo takes its' time making some needed improvements then I'll be a very happy camper.
Gah. I hate DLC. I can accept it if the game itself is free, but from Nintendo I just want to buy a game and be able to play all of its' content without having to fork over more cash at periodic intervals. That way you might as well put a price-tag of £60 on Mario Kart 7 or even £70 on Mario Land 3D, it's just a subtle way of gleaning more money from a customer. Very irritating. On the flip side, they could somehow make it worthwhile, but I haven't figured out how yet. Even if it's cheap it will still annoy me.
I think I'll just have a glass of water, from the tap. Although, I have been to Australia and their farms look particularly exciting, more so than farms from, say, anywhere else in the world. Even if I did want any of these, I'm still waiting for eShop cards in Europe. Heard anything?
You know, I've been pretty lucky with this selection so far. There are exactly 10 GBA games that I don't have but would like to, and so far 6 (possibly) of those have turned up on the list.

Re: Zelda: Skyward Sword Video is a Real Treasure
So, instead of a boat you have a bird, and instead of the sea you have the sky? Cool stuff.
Re: Talking Point: The Most Memorable Third Party Game Boy Advance Games
Some top notch farming to be found in Harvest Moon.
Re: There's Hope for Layton vs. Phoenix Wright Outside Japan
Come hither gentlemen.
Re: Review: Driver: Renegade 3D (3DS)
The adverts were fairly abysmal so this doesn't come as too much of a surprise. You could just smell mediocrity on them.

Re: Animal Crossing 3DS Looks Suitably Relaxing
I love Animal Crossing. Wild World is my probably my favourite portable game and I want this to top it.
Re: This Is How You Upgrade Items in Skyward Sword
I love how the upgrade option for your shield is just classed as "better". That made me laugh for some reason.
Re: Go First-Person in New Mario Kart 7 Trailer
Haven't seen any interesting vehicles yet. Hopefully they're saving them up.

Re: Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 Release Dates Confirmed
@Rocketship I'm pretty sure you can get them in Sainsbury's.
Re: 3DS Second Circle Pad Formally Announced
What?! We need a battery? That's a major bugger.
Re: More Titles Announced at 3DS Conference
Urgh. What a disagreeable comment section. I'm looking forward to getting married though (in friend collection).

YES

I'm worried you're going to run out of ways to express how consistently average these releases are.

Re: Talking Point: The Five Remaining GBA Ambassador Games
The two Golden suns, Fire Emblem and Mario Advance would do nicely. Of course, seeing as that only makes four, why not pop in Zero Mission too?

To the eShop!
Re: Picture Lives! Comes to Japan on 7th September
What do you actually do in this? I mean, other than create stuff and discover "magical things"?

This could be the rhythm game for me.

Re: NightSky Coming to 3DS eShop
If that's all the tweet says, why are we assuming the WiiWare version has been scrapped?

That's an outrageously low price point. Makes my decision to buy it a launch look increasingly rash.
Re: de Blob Developer Blue Tongue Shuts Up Shop
What?! Damn, that is sad. I could've done with a bit more blob. So, this is mainly due to the move over to HD?
