3DS Ambassador Titles Earn You Club Nintendo Coins Too

20 titles, 10 coins each, so 200 coins. Yipes, that will just about net you the calendar right there!

And I thought I wasn't going to make Platinum this year.

This makes sense, I became a Gold Ambassador for the Wii (Europe) the other day and I got 50 stars for each of the 36 free NES games.

Dang, it's gonna be hard this year to keep me at exactly 600 coins since downloaded titles' surveys expire so fast.

will Nintendo still give us a free copy of zelda 4 swords next month?

Woa, talk about a lot of coins! And a week after you play there's a "Post-Play Survey" so that's 400 coins! I just spent 200 on the giant Mii AR card but with this I now have over a 1000 points (again)!

Is this just North America, or Europe too?

Eugh, I didn't even know you got coins for paid downloads... Why would I, since Sweden doesn't get anything?! None of the Scandinavian countries do, as far as I know. Sigh, I guess I'll drown my sorrows in our overall extensive welfare....

No, I havn't recieved any surveys for any of my downloaded 3ds content. It took about two months for it to realise I had downloaded excitebike!

Wow that's nuts. Well thanks to Best Buy Reward points, I can pick up a 3DS for free. I think I'll be doing that tonight and just going back for a rebate later so I get games and $80 less price tag.

I don't want to mail Nintendo too often but after i got my Ocarina Soundtrack i'd ask them. _{Here's to hoping it will come in the next two weeks and that i don't have to contact them because of it.}

@james when you say register do you mean just to have used the eshop i havent linked to nintendo club but for the free games you just have to of been on eshop?

Well, that WOULD sound nice... if there was anything good on CN to spend it on...

It should be enough just to visit or buy something on the eShop, right?

I just joined Club Nintendo last month thanks to saving all DS, 3DS and Wii cases I have 950 coins! This will get me to closer the Game and Watch and maybe the AR card!

@James - I think we knew for sure we're getting coins for the NES games since they will be available for sale to the general public close to the end of the year.

Just incase someone asks about Four Swords, the game will be available on both the Nintendo DSi Shop and Nintendo eShop in September.

Have the giant AR card on back order, this should be sweet!

European 3DS owners don't even seem to get the 50 survey points when buying DSiWare games, never mind 3DSWare or VC games. As usual Europe is forgotten about by Nintendo !

Wow, that brings me to platinum already! Contrary to what most probably feel, I'm actually really glad I bought my 3DS early. I mean 20 free games, 10 of which won't be available any other way, is better than the nothing I expected Nintendo to give us early adopters.

This will make me Gold for the year and all the 3DS games coming out will probably put me up to Platinum.

Also, I very much enjoy getting free stuff, which allows me to get more free stuff. Definitely makes up for the 80$ price drop. Thanks, Nintendo!

just want to let some people know, the giant AR card isnt that great. mine arrived yesterdy and you need a ton of room to us it properly, not to metion the fact that its super sensitive to shadows, so its hard to get certain mii pics right, or play archery without you shadow overlapping to much. It is still good, just doesn't feel like 200 coins worth

@RyuZebian: I changed my Wii country to UK and got my Wii connected to Club Nintendo and I can get Club Nintendo stars when I download games for my Wii. I also tried to purchase Nintendo Points with these stars and it worked just fine

I'm only at 100 coins, after donloading these, I'll be at Gold.

sounds good to me! I'm at 340 coins so far this year so I've got my gold status already. I have 1120 total coins so I'll be able to nab the Game & Watch Ball. Still, I really like that Starman messenger bag, giant Mii AR card, and the reversable DS Pouches...which altogether come out to be about the same as the Game & Watch.

I wish Nintendo would extend the Ambassador program to the end of the month. I don't have the money to get a 3DS right now, and my next paycheck is next Thursday (I get paid bi-weekly).

@9 , @40 You only get one survey for downloadable games, but 200 coins is still a nice bonus.

Good for you! Really. But I believe Nintendo might be angry with me if I do so! Or something... It's more the neglection that angers me than missing out on rewards. Plus, with localized titles not having the cards in their boxes, there aren't too many coins to collect. :/

Then don't be lazy and go to Walmart and stop complaining as they've already marked it down to $170 and since it's not 8/12 yet you can get the freebies and the price cut all rolled into one.

and how will nintendo know which is my club nintendo account when i recieve those coins?

@sam322 have you linked your account yet? If you link your account and eShop, you get coins for purchases, etc. if you haven't, go on the eShop and under options, theres an icon that says 'link accounts'

Awesome, I got my 3DS from Walmart yesterday. I already linked my eShop and Club Nintendo accounts. Now I will get free games and free coins. Thanks Nintendo!

Least you're grateful unlike some. you got the 3DS at $170 and get 20 games(for the true Ambassadors)- I don't want to hear complaining from you in the future!

But anyhow, now I don't have to put too much effort to get Platinum status and prizes.
