How about Nintendo makes amiibo to order? Sure, it'd take longer to make, but if you ordered one, it'd be guaranteed, and the store could (almost) never run out. I'd gladly wait 1 month if it meant I didn't need to pay 50x the price on eBay.

I have Mario, Luigi, Link, Captain Falcon, Yoshi and DK, because they're the only ones I can find. My GAME store has Mario, Luigi, Samus, Zelda and Link, two of which I'm not interested in. But what annoys me even more is the fact that my GAME store charges £15 for one amiibo; the retail price being £11! I'm close to being done with amiibo

I've got it! The reason that Rayman couldn't be selected is the same as MK8 DLC! He's a placeholder, appearing in a new update, which comes with the shop etc. His splash screen appears in either the shop or when you buy him.

Also, it'd make sense for Mewtwo to have a new model, too. Remember when they said he was early in development? His model must have changed by now (even slightly).
