Re: Random: Check Out This Game Boy Color And Nintendo DS Mash-Up

You all know that they make reproduction shells right? So they probably only used a DS for parts. I'm not 100% sure since I haven't watched the video yet.

While there are some mods out there that I don't understand (Retro Future's LongBoy for example), this one looks pretty cool. I wonder if the rest of you think the portable Wii and PS2 out there are "abominations" too.

@Gwynbleidd They aren't justifying the price or "satisfaction" based on the fact that it's never been rereleased. These are good games and the fact they are being released in am offical capacity is great. They are actually deepet than the arcade games and offer more replaybility. If you've never played these before than you can't say they aren't with the money. You are just basing your opinion on the fact that the game is old and you can emulate it for free, which some people don't want to do. did you complain about the price of the Shantae rereleases?

Re: Nintendo Reportedly Arguing Switch Joy-Con Drift "Isn't A Real Problem"

GumbyX84

I truly don't understand why some people cannot accept that just because they haven't existing joycon drift doesn't mean others haven't. If you only have two joycon and can't afford to buy a spare controller while they are out for repair, your Switch turns into an expensive paperweight. My friend didn't have joycons for months as she sent hers out for repair just as COVID-19 hit and had to wait until repair centers reopened. That's not fair to her.

Re: New Details And Screenshots Emerge For Pokémon Home

I just want to know if we have to keep paying for Bank in order to keep pulling Pokémon from old games into Home. If so, that is going to suck for those of us that replay the old games and want to migrate them up. I can see myself posing Heart Gold and bringing my team into Sword and Shield (or future games).

Re: The Genki USB Bluetooth Adapter Finally Brings Low-Latency Audio To Switch

GumbyX84

@TheOpponent The one I know for sure that did well was the Skull and Co GripCase. I love mine. The large grips (interchangeable with smaller ones) are great for my big man-paws.

I'm really liking the idea of this adapter. The only thing I'm worried about is the audio latency. The codecs they mentioned aren't compatible with all BT headphones and headsets. For example, my Plantronics BackBeat FIT 505s use BT 4.1, but not ACC or AptX. I don't think the adapter will be low-latency for most headsets that people own.

Re: All-Star Fruit Racing Has No Online Multiplayer On Switch And It's Unreal Engine 4's Fault

GumbyX84

@NotSoCryptic @roadrunner343 The game was originally written for a different platform. They didn't say they would have online multiplayer (unless I missed something). It was assumed by the public to be included. When it was found out it wasn't, they complained. 3DClouds explained why and with a valid reasongl (money and development time). Based on what you'd are saying, they shouldn't release the game because they don't have multiplayer.

@Findonovan95 Really? Why did they have to sacrifice to keep you happy? Be realistic.

@Smigit Reread the article. They did:

There are no games supporting online on Switch that run on Unreal Engine 4 -please correct us if we are wrong- (Rocket League does but it uses the previous UE version, they have their own online architecture and a budget that we can only dream about) so what should we do: spend a lot of time and money trying to create the online mode from the scratch knowing that noone has done it before and knowing that we would need to ask continuos support to Epic (which is not garanteed since we are not Bethesda, for instance) or release the game without the online section and do this investment only and only if we are sure that time and money spent were worth spending?"

@LucBL @tekknik What part of "create the online mode from the scratch" are you guys not understanding? No where in that support article did I see anything about online multiplayer. 3DClouds said if a dev wants to/can put in the time and money into developing their own online architecture, they can get it working in UE4. From what they say, they don't have the funds. I'm taking then at their word. If they cut local multiplayer, then I'd like to know why.

@roadrunner343 I have to.agree with you that the dev sound have know what they were getting into, but getting on as it's "their job to ensure the use the best tool for the job" is harsh. They aren't going to jump to a new game engine just to get online multiplayer working on Switch.
