@SanderEvers I also feel compelled to correct your second comment. Dolphin is 100% legal. As long as it doesn't use the Wii OS, which it doesn't, the emulator itself is legal. The only thing that could be illegal is the ISOs you use. Downloading an ISO from the Internet is always illegal regardless of whether or not you own the game, but US law says that you may legally rip your own digital backups of games, therefore making your own ISO (which is incredibly easy) is legal.
@SanderEvers I feel compelled to correct you here. Off TV play is very possible on these fan projects, since people have long since figured out how to use the GamePad as a computer monitor. Secondly, it's completely legal to rip the ISO yourself and emulate that. So only thing that would be missing is amiibo support, which I severally doubt will be anything impressive.
I was underwhelmed with Dark Moon. I wasn't expecting it to match my love of the first game, but the linear mission structure and the forced slapstick got old. Not a bad game by any means, but I thought it could have been better.
I'm fine with patching the cheating Pokemon exploit and the free jewels exploit, but the region bypass and playing ROMs was just hackers using Nintendo's hardware better than Nintendo does. If it's that easy to play VC games, why does Nintendo not release them faster? Same with region lock, they have no legitimate reason to be so against it.
The only thing I liked about my Marth Amiibo was that it was rare. It's an ugly figurine, with limited functionality that is looking to mostly be DLC.
sigh
I won't complain that more are coming, since I know plenty of people will like one, but outside of collections, I don't see why anyone would want an amiibo. So far, outside of Smash, their game functionality has been REALLY bad, IMO. I would rather just pay $1 for the DLC it unlocks instead of $13+ for an ugly figurine and a season pass, featuring a heck of a lot of DLC I don't care about, but Nintendo won't give me that option with the way these things are selling, and Nintendo fanboys don't even see this.
I'm mostly looking at Mario Kart 8 here, hiding costumes behind DLC. I could live without them, but that makes me scared for the future. The Spinner in Hyrule Warriors is much the same, as are the FE characters in Steam. That is garbage.
I'd love to see an amiibo smartphone app. Nintendo needs to get into the smartphone market? NCF smartphones! Buy a digital amiibo for $2! I'd do that, since that's a much more fair price for the content I will actually want from these things.
@Kaze_Memaryu Does it really effect you? I like getting trophies on PSN. If you don't, then turn off notifications and enjoy your game. I would beg Nintendo to add this!
@JarredBuzzo The internal specs were fine on those systems, but they were held back by some really dumb design choices Nintendo made, specifically with the storage media both used.
@aaronsullivan You have summed up my thoughts perfectly. Some Hylian would be cool, but a whole game of it would be stupid. Zelda could use some English acting!
And I hope there are some British actors in Xenoblade X!
Eh, Game Theory is great at jumping to conclusions and his blind fans call it fact. I like the channel, but I swear if another idiot says Peach is Rosalina's mother...
@Chaos_Eevee Huh, interesting. That was the theory that completely destroyed my already dying interest in the show. It jumped to so many conclusions (unrelated people share similar traits all the time on Earth, let alone in the vastness of space!), errors (the tree in the book and the tree in the ending sequence were completely different trees!), and just plain poor research (the developers said that at one point, they planned to make Peach and Rosalina related (hence the similar appearances/traits), but decided against that. Therefore, NOT RELATED.) Not to mention I had the opposite effect - I thought it totally shat on her backstory.
His 5 Nights video, while a theory I did personally disagree with, was what revived my interest in the series, because I found it interesting and actually well researched.
So many people are saying "this will eventually lead to piracy/ROMs, even if it's not Smea's intention."
For those unaware, there already is piracy on 3DS. You can download and play ROMs with an easy-to-obtain flashcart. This really doesn't look like it will make it any easier.
I'm super psyched for this, but a bit disappointed that there won't be a Riivolution equivalent, which means no custom textures/music in SSB43DS just yet. Also on the fence about installing right away because of system updates - On Wii, updates generally just removed homebrew if they even touched it at all, but I was always a bit paranoid that the next update would brick my Wii
Noobs play as him a lot, so of course he will have the lowest win rates. I still think that, independent of that, while he is not OP, he could use some nerfing. Too much super armor makes him not fun to fight, and he does have a huge advantage on Final Destination/Omega if the player is even mildly competent. He's beatable, but against most of the cast in For Glory conditions, he has a bit of an advantage IMO.
I will mod mine first day I can. Modding my Wii was a great decisions, and I still have yet to pirate a single game I don't own a legitimate copy of. Hoping for a Riivolution-like app for custom textures and music in SSB43DS.
I would like bumped up camera resolutions, but otherwise, sounds like everything they could have improved on they did. Still a tad confused by the placement and size of the right circle pad, but whatever.
A great reason here as to why Nintendo should buy Capcom. Capcom is too stupid to run things themselves. Revelations was the first game I played on my launch day 3DS that I liked and wasn't a remake. Shame that the sequel won't also be on 3DS.
I started asking years ago for Nintendo to cancel Mario Kart and make Nintendo Kart instead. FINALLY, it seems they've realized how much better Mario Kart could be if it wasn't just Mario.
Now, if the next gen Kart game doesn't have a half-assed cruddy roster of multiple forms of Mario and Peach, but instead uses something along the lines of a Smash Bros. roster, I'll be thrilled.
Captain Falcon and Marth need to be confirmed too! But instead, we get Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach. Really?
World, 64 and Sunshine were the bests IMO. Galaxy was decent, as was 3D World, but I doubt 3D World would have the same amount of votes if it WASN'T the newest Mario game.
Only 2 songs per stage is a bit sad. I'd really like for some of that "Smash Run Exclusive" music to play on actual stages too, and maybe have an option for custom music (since the 3DS already plays music off an SD card?) I literally hacked my Wii just to add custom music to Brawl a few years back, and would LOVE the option of custom music in this game, too.
I'd really just like if Nintendo made a more poweful console, so that I didn't have to spend money on two, and so that I could get all my games for one box.
Looks a little too cluttered for my tastes, and I'm not crazy about the color scheme. I like simple, and would have personally preferred just a logo. But ah well, I'll just stick to my launch day 3DS and leave this for those who want it.
Reggie: It takes so much work to copy and paste a game! I mean, freeware emulators do it just fine, but heaven forbid we take the same effort to get all the games out there now! We really don't want your money!
Look, I know emulators have glitches, and that's fine. If a game has an issue, people can report it on Miiverse and Nintendo can patch it. But since 95% of these games will run perfectly, why aren't they all out? Why isn't every game that was on Wii VC not already on this? Why isn't even the N64 available yet? I was really hoping for the current lineup to be at least as good as what the Wii had in a similar span of time. Heck, by this time, I was hoping for Saturn, Dreamcast, and Gamecube Virtual Console.
And why not include GB and GBC games on Wii U? Why are they only on 3DS? Outside of N64 onwards, I think all games should be on both platforms. N64 and up would have control issues on the 3DS if they even could get them running at all, so I can understand that, but why no SNES on 3DS? Why no Genesis? WHY NO GBA?
I really can't see why people would want these. It's a dumb gimmick designed to take more money from you. What's a pro for the consumer again? Anything important?
Not even remotely interested in spending my money on this.
I literally just got myself Night Trap and now I hear about a remake? sigh I'd actually like it if they refilmed the entire project. That would be interesting. This is the kind of game that could benefit from the second screen of the 3DS and/or Wii U, so it's a shame Nintendo shot themselves in the foot here.
Already beat Fire Emblem, prefer the graphics of the GCN Wind Waker to WWHD, and the only other game on this list that interests me is Bravely Default. Not normally a fan of RPGs, but Fire Emblem was amazing, and I've heard good things about Bravely Default.

@CB85 SNES was more powerful everywhere. The only edge Sega had was the clock speed, hence the "blast processing". Just some market exploitation.
